HTC Incredible : Way To Remove Words "Verizon Wireless" From Lock Screen?
May 5, 2010Is there a way to remove the words "Verizon Wireless" from the lock screen? (other than installing an app like Lockbot or No Lock)..

Samsung Fascinate :: Remove Verizon Wireless From Pattern Lock Screen
Oct 4, 2010I rooted my Samsung Fascinate. Installed Titanium Backup and managed to uninstall some bloatware.
I would like to remove the text "Verizon Wireless" from my pattern lock screen and replace it with my name.
When I rooted my HTC Eris and loaded KoasFroyo I encountered a similar situation where that ROM made it say Team AndIRC. I was able to do what I wanted by replacing eri.xml.
When I try to use ADB to push that same eri.xml file to my Fascinate I get an access denied error. Can anyone tell me how to do this? Any guidance would be appreciated. Since the phone is locked I want my name available on the front in case it is ever lost.

May 3, 2010I applied the Verizon screen protector I got last week, but I was thinking about getting the whole phone protector. Well I was looking at the screen of the INC and for the life of me I cannot find any corners to start peeling the screen protector off. Any suggestions?

Jun 20, 2012I have added a couple of soft keys through navigation_bar.xml in SystemUI.apk. The soft keys show great, but are also showing on the lockscreen, when the others "disappear".
The added ones are Menu and Search, the order is Home, Menu, Recent Apps, Back, Search. This is to be the same as my desire hard keys. I know, no point in it, but have just got used to the soft keys so much!
Anyway, here is my coding, I have removed the android:visibilty="invisble" attribute to no ill effects...I have also added the relevant strings and ids in their respective places..

HTC Incredible :: Verizon Screen Protectors Are Absolute Disappointment
May 1, 2010First post and already I am complaining. I guess most of you know already that they don't fit the entire front plate, only the center screen. But I was willing to live with that till better ones came out, but what really got me (unless I did something wrong) was the second tab you are supposed to pull off after installing the shield is stuck on like a sticker that has glue on the back side and left part of the sticker stuck on the screen.On my second attempt I used Goo Gone to get the sticker off first but the application for applying still came out messy.Anyway just a heads up stay away.On a side note one thing that doesnt suck was the red and black gradient case I got for the phone. It feels nice and I believe will absorb most falls to the ground while still protecting the phone. It also looks great and seems to sit flush to the ground so that the camera is not touching the surface directly.

Nov 8, 2009I bought my Droid on line via Phandroid/Verizon Wireless just after midnight on Friday and filled out all the info, picked a Verizon plan, gave them my current cell number (which is an AT&T Mobile number) and checked the boxes that said "yes, please port my old number on to my new Verizon phone".
So I get the phone today (superfast -- I hadn't even paid for overnight delivery). But when I follow the instructions to activate, the activation fails. I touch the Droid on the touchscreen, it brings up the phone, I follow the voice prompts and dial my cell number, but it doesn't work.
Spoke with a VW customer service rep (late night Saturday night). He gave me a different customer service # to call on Sunday for help with "porting."
I sure hope I get this straightened out quickly. Maybe I should've just bought the Droid at a Verizon store and let the VW store guys activate it for me.
The VW customer service rep was saying I should see a "temporary Verizon cell #" somewhere on my receipt or packing slip. But there isn't any. Just the mobile # that I'm trying to port over from AT&T.
Did I do something wrong when I ordered the phone? Or is it normal for there to be a delay in getting the old # ported?

Sep 15, 2010When I click the lock button and click again to unlock it, it doesn't ever lock and just loads my homescreen. I have it set to pattern lock and the only time it will work is when I so a battery pull and even then it does it for maybe fifteen minutes.
