What stores(besides verizon) are carrying screen protectors today?
I'm going to order the Steinheil protector but don't want to risk scratching in the mean time.

First post and already I am complaining. I guess most of you know already that they don't fit the entire front plate, only the center screen. But I was willing to live with that till better ones came out, but what really got me (unless I did something wrong) was the second tab you are supposed to pull off after installing the shield is stuck on like a sticker that has glue on the back side and left part of the sticker stuck on the screen.On my second attempt I used Goo Gone to get the sticker off first but the application for applying still came out messy.Anyway just a heads up stay away.On a side note one thing that doesnt suck was the red and black gradient case I got for the phone. It feels nice and I believe will absorb most falls to the ground while still protecting the phone. It also looks great and seems to sit flush to the ground so that the camera is not touching the surface directly.

View 1 Replies View Relatedmy Clarivue Screen Protectors arrived today! I ordered both the anti glare and the clear ones. Reason being that with some companies the anti glare is very grainey. Anyway it was a good chice to order both because the anti glare is pretty grainey, and does distort the screen a little bit. I have it next to my iphone with the Anti glare from Apple, and the one from Apple is much clearer, while still keeping fingerprints off. However the shape fits well, they dont hug the sides, which is good because a tight case will not push the screen up and cause bubbles. They fit just right, and yes they have the U shape on the lower half which is fine. I will most likely replace the Anti Glare with the clear one only because the screen is so nice and vibrant that an Anti Glare will not do it justice at all. Well these Anti Glare ones anyway. Maybe the boxwave, Siedio, or Steinheil ones are a bit clearer and dont show so much grain, and are closer to the apple ones. We'll just have to wait and see what people say in the next couple of weeks. Hope this helps some people out!
View 36 Replies View RelatedSo I returned my Eris today.The battery issues had been pretty much contained.I could get a full day out of a charge, but the lag was terrible.I had it all over the place despite running task killer, spare parts, clearing cache, etc.Then the phone started to get wacky. It would freeze with black screens when switching to home.Sometimes when going to home, I would get a black screen with an HTC logo displayed for about 20 seconds, then it would show Sense UI loading for about 10 seconds (dimmed picture, loading logo, no applications).Also, I would have periods where I could not switch between screens.The dialer was ridiculously laggy as well. I would press end, and the phone wouldn't end for about 5 seconds. Dialing the phone sometimes I would have a 1-2 second delay when pressing buttons.
View 12 Replies View RelatedSo I have no clue how I got the scratch, but I have about a half inch scratch on my phone. It's very light and usually covered by a finger print. I am going back to screen protectors but I would say for a first scratch not a bad run. I have kept it naked since I bought it and have had kept in my keys with pockets. Honestly I wouldn't doubt thats how it happened !

However, one question that you have to ask is, how big should a phone be before it becomes impractical to carry around in your pocket?
Maybe about 12 cm, or almost 5 inches?
Just saw that the Droid 2 was released today on the Verizon website.Is anyone here going to upgrade? I think the lack of availability to root is a deal breaker for me.What are your thoughts?

So far I am loving it way more than my old winmo phone.That said, I find that the screen is just not nearly as touch sensitive as my ipod touch and im kind of disappointed. I have to press things sometimes 2 or 3 times to get it go. Especially in the corners

2. I have a screen protector. Its a $20 Invisible Shield by ZAGG that is off the shelf. Could that be causing the slow and unresponsive screen? What do you guys use?
3. Does the hero really NEED a screen protector? I previously had an HTC touch DIAMOND and i didn't use a screen protector evre and it got scratched up to HELL. Just for reference, I used my ipod almost in the same way (in and out of jeans pocket, not with keys, etc) and it didn't scratch AT ALL.Any way to improve this would make me way less disappointed here.
The addition of a screen protector with the phone is very useful, but is it possible to reorder one from sony so it is the correct fit? I have seen many generic ones, but they look the wrong shape. Anybody have experience of replacing the protector yet? Looking for one to fit the x10 mini pro.
