I am unrooting my phone and then going to reroot, but I since I installed the ota leaked update I have to do it the hard way. While using the command prompt to push the image file I keep getting "adb server out of date, killing..."

I'm looking to root my G2 (T-Mobile UK's name for the Hero) and install a custom ROM - I waited for the T Mobile official ROM but I've heard that it'll prevent me running root in the future.Can someone point me toward a good, up-to date guide on what I need to do? I also want to take a backup before rooting so that if something goes wrong in the future, I can revert it to how it was out of the box (assuming this is possible!)

So i got a message about a system up date. that said it was to up date VZ apps and slacker along with some bug fixes. it how ever was to low on power( about 40%) it need to be plugged in. when i finally plugged it in it sat at rebooting now... in defiantly. so i manually re started it. and have seen nothing of an up date.

I saw a couple of posts saying they ordered one day and got it the next, despite the shipping delay message. I will be ordering my phone in a few hours and I really hope I get lucky and find it at my door in a few days.

When I set a date, Sense UI brings up a date scroller wheel, where I use a virtual wheel to select Month, Day, and Year. After setting the desired date, I hit OK, and I'm brought back to the previous screen (calendar or contact I'm setting a date for). The field then shows the date I set as being 1 day prior to the date I picked. However, when I save and come back, the date is fine.
Wish I could take a screen shot to make this easier to explain. Not a massive issue, but it gets confusing sometimes since I think I selected the wrong day.
If someone texts you late at night and your phone is off, when you turn your phone on the next morning you get the text and the date and time shows the time you boot up your phone. You would think it would have the actual date and time the peson sent the message. Am I missing something?

Now I am rooting the replacement and the Unrevoked 3 program gets stuck at "Waiting for root... (Safe to restart if this doesn't work)"
I have the HBOOT drivers installed and my phone comes up in device manager as "Android Composite ADB Interface"
Did they apply a new update to the phone that prevents rooting? If so how long before I can get around it?
I received a letter from Verizon a month ago offering me an extra $50 credit for my NE2 upgrade to make a total of $150 - the catch was the offer expired April 15. Right then I knew the Incredible would be released after 4/15!
My question is - is there any hope of convincing vzw online sales or a store to extend the expiration date of the credit? I asked one online sales person and they said "no we can't do that for an online sale, but call a store, and they might be able to". So I called a store and they said "no when it comes in we won't be able to do that, but maybe online sales can". So is this a futile attempt? Should I wait until they are in stores on 4/29 and go in and talk to a manager? Or give up and pre-order now?

I sent myself a few test emails and deleted or read them on the phone. However, when I open my account on a browser, it shows that they are unread and they are still on the account. View 2 Replies View RelatedI just noticed for the past few days, my Incredible has been deleting my email off of my pop server account after I delete it (from Trash) out of the phone. Before you say anything, I have "Delete Email on Server" unchecked from the settings. So I checked it, shut off the phone, unchecked it and then sent a few test emails.
With it checked, it does delete my email after I delete it off of the phone - obviously. Unchecking it, sending test email and deleting it still deletes If off my POP Server. I am a little frustrated because I realized about 4 days of emails have been deleted, although I have copies of them on one computer. I know it didn't do this out of the box, only recently.
I have a Droid Incredible and my business uses Microsoft Exchange 2003. every few weeks my phone will say that there's a problem with the exchange server when I try to sync. Restarting the server doesn't resolve this error, but removing the account from my Droid and re-adding it does.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have root using unrEVOked3, running CM6, stock kernel, then did unrEVOked Forever and the radio update (2.15) I noticed that my 3G is getting me like 200kbps, horrible, right? I thought maybe *228 would fix the problem. I noticed that the speedtest app was saying a server in Tacoma was the closest to me (2.8 mi) when really, I'm just south of Portland. When I try to do *228, I get a phone activation screen with no keypad on it. It says "Please wait while you phone is being programmed." and wants me to push 1 or 2, but since there is no keypad, this becomes impossible. If I back out to my app drawer and select Phone again, it brings up 3 options. One of them is to see the keypad. When I hit that, it just takes me back to the activation screen. I can't find a way to push a button. Long pressed menu, got keyboard.

The weather channel app, the game cestos, home switcher,
Fonts are smaller and apps no longer formatted correctly, as in cant use them becuause stuff isn't displaying properly
Tried removing and reinstalling but no different.
Any one else having issues?
