Anyhow, I downloaded virtuous Rom using ROM Manager. So I wanted to d/l the Revolution them from ROM Manager too. After it appeared to download, it continuously went from the droid eye boot and the HTC "quietly brilliant." It wouldn't boot to the phone.
Should I just try again or what?

I'm just trying to change my boot animation to go along with a theme i have for bugless beast 0.4...i was told to put the bootanimation.zip in the data/local folder which i did..then i used terminal to load it up and it says no such directory or something.
So to be clear i was supposed to create the local folder myself right? data is in the root, then i make the local folder inside the data? it seems i'm doing everything right but when i power on the phone i dont even have an animation..it just goes from the M symbol to the phone on.
I had Frozen yogart installed, tried to install a theme and now it wont start and it wont boot into Clockwork, its going into stock recovery.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have been using sweeter home for a few weeks and I downloaded a theme that forced closed Sweeter Home. Since sweeter home was my default deasktop. I could not get back to the main desktop.
I tried starting in safe mode, by holding down the gold key and pressing the power button. Then I released the power button and kept holding down the gold key until I heard a buzz. The phone then rebooted after a few seconds.
I am at a loss what to do now? I am considering a hard reset.
I have seen many themes on assorted sites and I would like to load in on my phone but I am no where near smart enough to do it. So can someone give me the dumb down version on how to upload it to me phone
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to create a basic AlertDialog using an activity with a theme of Theme.Dialog.What I want is for there to be a horizontal bar between the title and the message. However, the bar is not being resized correctly. Rather than being the width of the activity, the bar is the width of the message text. This means that if the activity is being expanded by the message, then the bar will fill the whole activity, so it looks correct. However, if the message width is less than the activity width, the bar only displays above the part of the activity with the text. I've tried every single combination of "fill_parent" and "wrap_content" that I can think of, and none of those work.I've also tried using RelativeLayout and placing the bar above the message text, but that also doesn't work. If I use the RelativeLayout approach and set the bar to fill_parent, it causes the activity to expand to fill the whole screen width, which is also undesirable. Ideally, I want the text placed, the activity width computed, and the bar resized to that width (without affecting it). Is there some way to flag a view to fill the parent view but not to affect its size?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use themes in my apps, which generally just extend android:Theme and then set a bunch of styles. I use dialogs made from layouts, but since I set the theme for the application, they have inherited all of the regular styles and no longer carry a border, etc. My question is: How do I say, "I want everything to use this theme which extends Theme, except dialogs, which should use this other theme that extends Theme.Dialog"? It seems like that's how things work by default but when you set the theme to your own, you lose the dialog theme!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've extended Theme.Dialog to use a different color as per the sample in the ApiDemos project but for some reason it does not use the theme properly in my project. I created a new project and it works perfectly fine there. The main problem here is that it does not show as floating in my project. Instead, it sets the rest of the screen black except for what would be the dialog window, where it uses the correct colors, etc. Any ideas? I am beating my head against the wall here.

If I do install this theme and decide it doesn't work out for me how would I get the stock theme back on here that came with virtuous 3.1.0. I would have to install the whole virtuous 3.1.0 rom again would I?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI rooted a few days ago and did the forever S-off. I have ROM Manager loaded and was poking around in the system. I downloaded Skyraider and ROM Manager asked me to reboot. Not thinking it wouldn't let me know what it was doing when in recovery before doing something the rom had been applied. Now the Phone has for 40+ minutes been at the "HTC Incredible" boot screen.
I have read not to pull the battery but The power Button and Volume button do nothing so I could really use some suggestions. As a little more info I have not flashed the radio yet so it was a 1.x radio that a 2.2 rom was just seemingly applied to.
Bricked or recoverable? I have a Nandroid backup if someone can help me get back to that point...
I would like to change the boot animation on my droid incredible I saw these 2 threads on here. I downloaded all the zip files and I've been trying to change the boot animation with terminal emulator. I'd like to change to the boot animation with the droid peeing on the apple logo. I'm have no knowledge of programming and the more I read these the more confused I become. Has anyone been able to change the boot animation using terminal emulator? Ever time I try to change it the apps keeps telling me "permission denied."

View 5 Replies View RelatedI rooted my HTC Droid Incredible with and it ran fine afterwards. Then I changed a couple of the files in /system/framework and that apparently was a bad idea, 'cause now my phone won't boot. It just stops at a white screen that says "HTC Incredible". I'd made backups of my system and programs through ClockworkMod and TitaniumBackup, but unlike when I screw something up with my Droid X, I never get a clockworkmod recovery screen with the Incredible. I can get to HBOOT, but running recovery or factory reset gets me nothing but a black screen with white bars. After backing up my sd card via an adapter, I formatted the card and copied to it some stock image file I found on some forum and rebooted, but that didn't do anything. Not sure what information I need to provide. The Rom was stock. According to the HBOOT screen I've got HBOOT-0.92.0000, s-off, and RADIO-2.15.00.07.28. I still have the clockwork mod backup on my PC from when I backed up my SD Card.

I have NEVER used the FM Radio app, but it's always on - WHY?
Others, like YouTube and Key Ring, I use, but not very often - why would they be running after a reboot?
I downloaded Jager Rom from ROM Manager and really....really want to get rid of the boot noise. It announces that I'm messing with my phone to the entire office. I looked in /data/local and don't see it. Anyone know where to kill this annoyance? Otherwise, I like the ROM and I'm switching back and forth between Virtuous for Sense and Jager for nonsense.
