HTC Incredible : Possible Screen Burning - Goes Away After A Couple Of Seconds

I had a quick question about the AMOLED Screen the Incredible uses. I noticed that if you have for example white text on a black background for an extended period of time and go to a full black screen you can still see the ghosting of the text like it has been temporarily burned into the screen. It goes away after a couple of seconds. But I'm worried a display on for too long could result in a more permanent burn. Could this be a case of burning or is it just the way the screen refreshes? As I am not too familiar with the AMOLED Screen. Hopefully some of you more screen technology savy people may know what's going on. And hopefully this will be helpful to others as I couldn't find any other thread relating to this. Thank you in advance.

My Incredible paired easily with my Toyota car bluetooth and works great, however. . . . everytime the phone sends or receives data (incoming text or email or looking at the internet or answering a text) it mutes the stereo for a couple seconds. It is as if the phone is preparing to make a call. Anyone have any ideas what is going on here? (of course, I'm only looking at the phone while stopped at a traffic light.)

We have a Nexus7 that is mostly used by the kids. I keep an eye on what they use it for etc. today I found that on my sons account a popup keeps appearing in the centre of the screen saying "Ad Service" and then a number, for instance "Ad Service470" This displays for a couple of seconds disappears and then reappears with the next number, ie "Ad Service471".
I asked him how long this has been happening and got the answer "oh ages" as if it was of no concern (bloody kids).URL....

Here's something that has been plaguing me for awhile:
Screen timeout constantly defaulting at 30 seconds. I'm not sure if it does it randomly or only after reboots, but I prefer it at two minutes and to just put it to sleep manually with the lock button.

I posted this on other forums and wanted to get opinions from here also. When my phone is on a white screen, like the Google search page, I can see a light brown circle in the middle on my screen. So I'm wondering if the battery is burning the screen. (Something similar to how the battery burns the back of the white iphones and leave a light burn mark.) But can the battery do that to the screen? I did apply a Zagg screen protector with solution, but the circle is to perfect for it to be from that. So, anyone else seeing this or has had this happen to their screen before?

Music plays automatically at a couple of instances:
1) Whenever I turn on my car and it connects to bluetooth (not a big problem)
2) Whenever I hang up a call
3) Most of the time if I Ignore an incoming call
I was in a meeting today and answered a phone call. I hang up and BAM, the music starts playing automatically. Of course at this particular time I was listening to Opie and Anthony and the first two words were something I'm not even allowed to say on this forum. I had to defend my damn job after that. This happens with both the default music player and Audible and has happened with other 3rd party music players, so it's not just an isolated incident with one particular app. Only one app plays at a time, and it seems to be whatever app I used last? I absolutely love the droid platform and my Incredible, but I'm going to have to get rid of this phone if I can't fix this problem. I see no reason that a music player should start automatically after hanging up a phone call.

I've been using AppBrain to interface with the Android Market and I have been running into an issue where I try to install a couple of apps, it says it's starting download, but then nothing happens. I even turned on and off my 3G a few times, with no luck. This has happened once before. Is there something wrong or is this a case where the Android Market is a POS?

I have the screen timeout set to 1 min which works fine until I use the phone. When using the phone the screen times out (and locks) in about 5 seconds. This is a real pain when using voicemail etc and you need to interact with the keypad.

My HTC One's screen is timing out after about 5 seconds. By timeout, I mean going black and I have to unlock the phone to get back to where I was.
Initially, I removed Battery Doctor and I thought this solved the problem, but the issue it returned. Occasionally, usually after I've uninstalled something, it goes back to around 15 seconds, leading me to believe I solved the issue, but then issue returns.
I've gone through the following motions:
Settings > Security > Lock phone after - set to 3 minutes
Settings > Display, gestures & buttons is > Sleep - set to 15 seconds.
Over the weekend I restored my phone completely, which appeared to work at first, but now it's back to timing out abruptly.
As I've typed out this message, it was constantly timing out, then in the middle it did stay awake several times for about 5 seconds, then dimmed, but still stayed on for around 10 more seconds before blacking out.
HTC One on 4.1.2, AT&T, non-rooted

I set my screen time out to 30 seconds and..it's been 30 seconds my screen is not timing out. This can be REALLY annoying when I forget to push the power button and just put the phone in my pocket and the battery drains.
I called verizon about this yesterday they had me turn my phone off and back on and then it did time out. Today I tried the same thing and it's not timing out..
The phone is brand new, only 3 days old has not been dropped or anything.

My htc hero just started to act up with incoming calls. I hear the phone rings but the screen remains blank for a seconds before the caller's ID shows up. Can anyone help? Its annoying when the phones rings but cant pick up until the caller ID shows up much later.

The default setting for this is 15 seconds, and i changed it to be 1 minute. Randomly it sets itself back to 15 seconds (maybe after powering phone off).

Has anyone else had this issue or knows a fix? I want my screen timeout to be 2 minutes. When i go to the Display options I unclick the button for 30 seconds, click 2 minutes, then exit. A little while later the screen goes off and I go back to the Display settings and it is back at 30 seconds again. It does not seem to go to the value I want but goes back to 30 seconds each time.size limitation on email on a Verizon Droid?

I have noticed that after the last update, my touch screen doesn't work for a few seconds on random occasions and then works again after about 3 or 4 seconds. when I'm reading a book and they're about to reveal the mystery or enthusiastically playing a game and it stops working, I get increasingly frustrated that I can't turn the page or that I lost the game because during the last few seconds my touchscreen decided to temporarily stop working.. I just want to make sure there's not something wrong internally.

I'm trying to use the GeoCoder to get the lat/lon for a couple of addresses. I'm running into an error where the address list comes back empty sometimes. It seems to be completely random. I have a start point and an end point to draw and route. Sometimes I can't get either one, sometimes I can get the start but not the end, sometimes I can get the end but not the start. I never seem to be able to get both. Not sure why. Yesterday it worked fine.

Took these last night in a dim room. The illumination was from the phone's flash. It took a few attempts to get them in focus, but the results are pretty good for a camera on a phone.

Given a choice, I would still prefer my regular shooter, but I am quite satisfied with what the EVO camera can do in a pinch. Video is still a bit disappointing, but again, good for a phone.

Steps necessary to add a couple simple attributes to the stock Android Contacts application. Also, in the event the vendor has shipped their own Contacts application, will the same solution apply equally well to those handsets shipped with custom apps? I'm not looking for anyone to supply code; just a design pattern and any caveats I need to be aware of. I am writing an application that requires a couple new properties on the contact.

I've just updated the ROM on my hero and the improvements are instantly noticeable. One thing I have seen is in the Albums menu I have another Videos directory. After looking at this I find a vid I uploaded to my phone a while ago, but before it wasn't listed. The directory is in the root of the SD card called videos. After playing around and trying to add another vid, this directory has now disappeared from the Albums list.
So, how do you store videos on you sd card and access them from the albums list? The other bits, I'm wondering about are: Can you add pics to the phone and link them with your music albums, or do the images have to be embedded in the mp3? Is there a way to download peoples facebook pictures without going to the website and doing it manually?

I just have a couple of questions:
1. What is the risk of bricking my device really? Has anyone here ever had a problem with it before?
2. Does rooting absolutely void your warranty no matter what?
3. If it does void your warranty, can they turn you down if your phone breaks for something unrelated to rooting? For example if I root my phone now, and then 4 months later I drop it and it breaks will they fix it?
4. How do they know if you rooted your phone? If I brick it accidentally is there any way for them to know that it was rooted if I don't tell them? I mean it could have just as easily been a manufacturing error, they wouldn't know until they've restored it to it's original state.

I have lost a couple of pictures from the people widget yet the photos have not been deleted from the phone.When I view the relevant contacts in people or receive a text then the relevant photo appears at the side of the contact but not in the widget.

I have a rogers branded and locked magic that I am using in toronto. My device is not rooted, yet. I have had an issue recently where my phone will not be able to use any data, even though i have a connection to the rogers network. I looked at my phone and noticed an error in the notification bar that showed an exclamation point next to the sync symbol (for syncing to my exchange server). At first I thought it was a server issue and proceeded to try to manually get it to sync several times, but it would not.
I noticed that my signal strength showed a couple of bars, but there was no indication that data was being transmitted (usually I see the G or H over some arrows). I opened the browser to see if it would connect to the internet and sure enough it would not. It happened on sat and now it happened again this morning. I tried pulling powering it off and on, pulling the battery, etc, with no luck. Each time I had to go into the network settings and select the rogers network before it would work again. The rogers network showed as my provider and the APN showed rogers as well.

I'm putting my X back to stock and unrooting for eventual froyo. I've got it all from a package except one: com.vznavigator.I cannot find it anywhere. Did our phones come with vz navigator? If so, where can I find this app? Downloaded systemapp2.1 and it's not in there either.
