I use one specific chat forum that for some reason my droid opens every click in a new window. I found this out cause i will eventually get a notice that says "cant open anymore windows". Its only this one site that does it so far. Its not a chance occurence either as it ALWAYS does it.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to set up a shortcut to open the JB quick settings window (the one you get by swiping the corner of the status bar, or swiping with two fingers, depending on your preference), and I can't seem to find a command for it anywhere. Not in Tasker, not in the Activities list, and no widget in the Play store that opens it with a tap. Oddly, I can use the Nova Launcher "Nova Actions" menu to create an "expand quick settings" button, but it can only sit on the home screen, while I want to add a button to my quick launch. If I could just create a widget or shortcut that toggles that button it'd work fine, but I can't find the functionality anywhere.

I have a Droid X. I've rooted the sucker and I've had to reinstall it once. Ever since I've reinstalled it it refuses to use the carrier voicemail and insists on fowarding to my Google Voice account. Now this isn't terrible except for the fact that since it insists on going to Google Voice it takes 45 seconds to pickup. I really want my google voice number and my vzw phone # voicemail to be separate.

I know Task Killer is out there, and use it quite frequently, but I'm noticing that when I get out of DroidLive, Google Maps, etc. they stay running in the back ground and the phone will start to get sluggish.
Also on Bootup the phone boots Facebook and Google Maps. Any way to disable this?
Is there not a browser 'home' button, or do you have to open a new window every time?

I have installed lots of applications on the phone and i think coz of which the phone has become really slow. If i go to task-manager---> Summary, under program it shows 456MB/516MB. Is there a workaround to keep all the current apps on the phone and also increase the spee of the phone. For eg;- when i hit the phone key, it takes 5 sec to open the keypad/calllog window.

I never really paid attention to it, the sliding open never really bothered me, until I realized that basically my phone was sliding open, coming on, then closing, then opening again. View 8 Replies View RelatedLately when I open a contact the phone freezes up as soon as it gets to the screen where it lists all my options for that particular contact (call, text, etc...). It makes no difference whether I search for the contact in the Google bar (which I enabled), if I open them from my "Starred Contacts" folder, or if I open them directly from the contacts list... no difference.
It doesn't happen every time but i'd say it's about 70% of the time, which is very frustrating. The phone locks up for probably about ten to fifteen seconds and then asks if I want to F/C or wait, if I click wait then everything is back to normal and i'm good to go.
Now since yesterday I have installed Beautiful Widgets (which I have heard nothing but good things about), Home++ and Better Keyboard. All of those apps seem to be reliable and not only that but i've actually gone through and removed all apps I didn't really need just to see if possibly one of them was causing the problem.
Long story short; got my wife a incredible yesterday, I was at work and she sent me a few pics of our son received them fine. Today she tried sending me pics of our newborn nephew while I was at work and everytime id receive this message "download of message(no subject) was not successful" I had her delete the most recent apps she had downloaded and restart her phone and still same issue.
I had my friends send me picture messages n I received them fine.
My HTC Hero keeps crashing and not sure what the heck is going on. It happens when I am in the middle of a phone call. It just locks up and can not do anything about it. I have to take the back off and remove the battery. Then I replace the battery and power on the Android logo comes up but the little robot doesn't. I have to then take the battery out again and redo the power cycle.
Does anyone have ANY idea why this happening?
Only charging from a USB from computer, but not off wall power cord. Anyone have an idea why this would be happening?
Also, if I turn the phone off and plug it in the wall power cord, the phone will turn on Automatically, but not charge.
How come some of my contacts phone numbers are appearing all screwed up.In one part of the system they show up as 01######### etc, in another area they show up as 44######### but on Google they show up as 01 or +44 depending on the number but never without the + on the 44.Mainly on the mobiles they will not dial even though I have just texted the same number as the contact shows up correctly. If I try to phone the contact from Contacts I get a number incorrect message but if I phone from the sms I can call them?This has only happened since upgrading to 2.1 Orange carrier.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI constantly see the same apps opening throughout the day. I think I have narrowed it down to when I get a text message it opens up a few other things. I have installed Handcent and disabled the stock message app i think. I have closed all apps and recieved a text and here is what opens everytime. Voice Dialer, com.coremobility.app.vnotes, sprint navigation, and still the Messages app opens even though it comes through Handcent.
View 4 Replies View Relatedi have upgraded my viewsonic pad from gingerbread to ics, downloaded from official site, no problem installing it, everything is fine except when i open anything whether app or not (eg settings) after a few mins the tablet automatically goes back to home screen, i have noticed that it occurs more when i am holding it if its on a stable surface it doesn't do it as much. i have tried redownloading the file and installing twice now and its still the same.
