HTC Incredible :: Percentage With Stock Battery Icon In Notification Bar
Jul 19, 2010
This was brought up a lot when the Inc was just released. Everyone pretty much said that we had to wait until we were rooted. But has anyone found a way to add the battery percentage on the stock battery icon at the top? I hate having to install an app and have another battery icon in the notification bar with this.

Is there a way to get a battery icon mod(with %s or numbers) on a stock 2.1rom? All the ones I see on this forum and XDA require Deodexed ROM.

This will replace the stock battery indicator with a circular bar that includes percentage remaining. I flashed this on the DC 3.5 ROM and it works perfectly.

On my Vibrant I have both the standard "green battery" icon in my taskbar, as well as a downloaded battery percentage icon. I've noticed that the standard icon does a really poor job tracking the actual battery percentage. For example, the percentage will show 35%, but the icon will still appear two-thirds green.

Is there anyway to get the battery percentage on top of or somewhere next to the battery icon in the status bar? I use Battery Indicator right now, but I'd rather have it on the battery icon like the iPhone has it. It's kinda hard to believe a smartphone wouldn't have an option to display the battery percentage.

I can't seem to find a thread about this for Droid X. Is there anyway to get something like in this picture?

I know we can use widgets or change the status bar one with UOT, but it seems ludicrous to imagine such a simple feature hasn't become standard. Is there some patent troll that is keeping devices from having the battery percentage in the system bar?

No intentions of being redundant, however I ran a search didn't find any new info and I'v been banging my head. I'm farely noobish at root, and I'm currently just running straight up android 2.2 flashed with 3.21 unrEVOked, and everything is working great *cheers to them, great job* I'm just trying to replace my stock battery icon with a new one with percents. I didn't find anything on the forum, perhaps I'm blind.. but just figured I'd see if there was a way to do this yet without installing a rom. I tried one from another site and it put my phone into a force close frenzy and wouldn't load senseui (kept fc'ing) thus making my phone useless. MDA didn't do a nandroid backup, and I royally effed my phone and had to swap back to another incredible. so if anyone has any information, that'd be supa.

I find my status bar is very cluttered and has some unnecessary icons that I'd rather not have (particularly bluetooth, alarm, and battery [I use Battery Status app]). I found this article on how to remove the stock battery icon but it's designed for the Samsung Moment. Anyone brave enough to try it on their Evo?

So earlier today I flashed cyanogen's rom and noticed that the battery icon on the notification bar had the battery % on the battery, the built in one not the on from the battery indicator app, and I thought that looked really slick. I was wondering if there was a way I could get that thru using metamorph or something.

I know before the upgrade to 2.2 I could view my battery percentage by going to type in the phone number *#*#4636#*#*. Now after the upgrade when I type that in it won't show anymore.Does anyone know if there is a new code to type in?

I just started seeing a weird icon that wasn't shown in the manual. It looks like a headset. Even after turning off Bluetooth and after powering the phone off, it still appears. Uploaded with ImageShack.us

I didn't see a thread in here discussing this, but I'm using a battery percentage indicator that shows the percentage in the status bar. I just want to get an idea of what everybody else is using. The one I downloaded from the appmarket is cool for being free, but if anybody has recommendations, I'd love to hear them. I really want the one that HTC makes, but it's only available for the N1 and Desire right now. Post up the different ones being used.

I hope you can help me out by chiming in on this. I've been using my phone a bit, and it looks like my battery goes down by about 10-12% for every 15 minutes I'm on a call. Is this normal? It seems like my battery isn't lasting anywhere near as long as it should. Extrapolating those figures out, you'd be looking at 150 minutes (2h 30m) of call time per charge - way below the quoted time (7h on 3G). Additionally, I seem to be able to lose about 10% of my battery just browsing the web for 10 minutes over 3G. I have GPS off, but WiFi and sync on.Are you all getting significantly better than this?

So I noticed that my battery icon is showing nearly a solid green battery, just slightly below it (a thin sliver of black). I've been on the phone for over an hour, played some games, got some e-mails etc and was wondering why it hasn't moved because before (had the phone since the beginning of May) it always seems to drop pretty accurately based on my usage (granted it's just observation, never studied it or anything). I went to settings - about phone - battery - and saw that I'm actually at 70%...but yet the icon hasn't moved down. Played a game for about 3 minutes and checked again, and the green icon now accurately shows what a 70% battery life should look like. Does anybody else know if their icon doesn't accurately represent their usage? Is this nothing to worry about? haha just concerned it will lag more and more with time or something...
