Is there any way to get the percentage on the top bar? Seems silly that I cant find the setting and have to dig into settings to see the remaining %.

View 14 Replies View RelatedMotorola Droid user coming from iPhone here. One of the features I miss is having the battery percentage indicated in the status bar next to the little icon (in fact, I'd rather just have the percentage rather than the icon). Is there an app to show that in the status bar? It seems the precision of the battery meter is by 10% increments until it reaches 20%, but even that would be better than just the icon.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got this phone but it's having a weird problem. The battery % seems to drop off in big jumps instead of gradually.
For instance, I also have an Xperia Play, if I run the LED as a flashlight, I can see over a few minutes the battery % goes down gradually.
This new phone, Samsung Galaxy Q, if I run the flashlight, nothing changes in a few minutes. But if I check back after locking the phone a few minutes later, it shows a battery drain.
Another example, before I went to bed, I had it charged to 100%. When I woke up 7 hours later, I checked and it was still at 100%. I checked after I got dressed a few minutes later, and it just dropped to 90%. During my trip to work about half way while playing music, half way to work, it was down to about 86%, kept checking, and no changes. When I got to work at my desk, the battery hit 77%.
My battery graph when I goto battery use is basically this, straight line....DROP, straight line...DROP, etc.
When I go to my settings, it reports that Facebook and several other apps that aren't normally there are running and using 2-4% of my battery. I haven't used Facebook on my phone since I got it, and it hasn't ever showed up there before. How do I remove these apps from wasting a certain percentage of battery? Force stop doesn't seem to work.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with the battery percentage of my device, it drops from 60% - 15% but after i reboot the device it goes back to 60% and rapidly decreasing by 1% per minute until it reaches 1%. Even if it's on 1% the real charge of the battery is still there, it last for almost half a day, i just wanted to know the real charge of my phone. I don't know how to fix this i already tried calibrating but it doesn't work. I also tried using new battery and flashing to stock rom but the problem still exist.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI know we can use widgets or change the status bar one with UOT, but it seems ludicrous to imagine such a simple feature hasn't become standard. Is there some patent troll that is keeping devices from having the battery percentage in the system bar?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAs I remember the issue got started from my fault about wipping my battery state. my battery never charged to 100%.I tought I can solve this by wiping when it's fully charged(99%).so I charge my phone to 99% and wipped.but after that my charge percentage got wrong.for example it shows 50%,but it gets off bcoz of low battery.or I plug my charger when it's at 30%.it jumps to 90%rapidly.I have changed my rom.but no results.I tought maybe it's from relation of hardware(battery)and software(ROM) data.so I decide to try my idea.
My idea was:wipe and format all things at recovery.draining battery to 0%(by entering the downloading mode and remaining to it untill phone gets off)then pluging it to charger and let it fully charged.and then odin and installing a ROM.but I have wiped and formated all ghings.but when I plug the charger now a battery icon appears on the screen, but it doesn't get green as it is charging.

On my Vibrant I have both the standard "green battery" icon in my taskbar, as well as a downloaded battery percentage icon. I've noticed that the standard icon does a really poor job tracking the actual battery percentage. For example, the percentage will show 35%, but the icon will still appear two-thirds green.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI know before the upgrade to 2.2 I could view my battery percentage by going to type in the phone number *#*#4636#*#*. Now after the upgrade when I type that in it won't show anymore.Does anyone know if there is a new code to type in?
View 7 Replies View RelatedIs there anyway to get the battery percentage on top of or somewhere next to the battery icon in the status bar? I use Battery Indicator right now, but I'd rather have it on the battery icon like the iPhone has it. It's kinda hard to believe a smartphone wouldn't have an option to display the battery percentage.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI didn't see a thread in here discussing this, but I'm using a battery percentage indicator that shows the percentage in the status bar. I just want to get an idea of what everybody else is using. The one I downloaded from the appmarket is cool for being free, but if anybody has recommendations, I'd love to hear them. I really want the one that HTC makes, but it's only available for the N1 and Desire right now. Post up the different ones being used.

View 2 Replies View RelatedNo intentions of being redundant, however I ran a search didn't find any new info and I'v been banging my head. I'm farely noobish at root, and I'm currently just running straight up android 2.2 flashed with 3.21 unrEVOked, and everything is working great *cheers to them, great job* I'm just trying to replace my stock battery icon with a new one with percents. I didn't find anything on the forum, perhaps I'm blind.. but just figured I'd see if there was a way to do this yet without installing a rom. I tried one from another site and it put my phone into a force close frenzy and wouldn't load senseui (kept fc'ing) thus making my phone useless. MDA didn't do a nandroid backup, and I royally effed my phone and had to swap back to another incredible. so if anyone has any information, that'd be supa.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI hope you can help me out by chiming in on this. I've been using my phone a bit, and it looks like my battery goes down by about 10-12% for every 15 minutes I'm on a call. Is this normal? It seems like my battery isn't lasting anywhere near as long as it should. Extrapolating those figures out, you'd be looking at 150 minutes (2h 30m) of call time per charge - way below the quoted time (7h on 3G). Additionally, I seem to be able to lose about 10% of my battery just browsing the web for 10 minutes over 3G. I have GPS off, but WiFi and sync on.Are you all getting significantly better than this?

View 6 Replies View Relatedon average what % battery is your android system using. mine usually uses from 20%-60%. On average its 40%, pretty much after normal use at any given time mine is at 40%. seem normal or a bit high? i have system panel and no app seems to be hogging or anything like that.edit: after some tweaks my android system is anywhere from 10%-40% tops.
View 15 Replies View RelatedIn my case, I think the charger that came with the phone is not charging the battery properly. Last Friday I left the Evo charger at work and had to use a Nokia charger to charge the phone. The usage was the same, but now my battery doesn't seem to have the initial percentage drop and seems to last longer. Also, it charges bit faster (I know this is not great for the battery). Will do more testing.

View 49 Replies View RelatedI know there are multiple widgets for showing battery percentage, but is there a way of showing it in the menu bar. Just like as an overlay of the battery icon? I don't see the need for a widget AND a menu item, plus it would be helpful to see it as a percentage at all times, without the need to exit to the homescreen during calls or using apps.
