I am using active sync for Exchange, we are running Exchange 2003 SP2. When I attempt to go to the out of office on the phone it says the following: "Unable to get your Out of Office settings from the Exchange server right now. Please try again later." I've never seen it work & was wondering if anyone has the same issue or knows how to fix it.

I have my backup assistant scheduled to sync in the late night (12am to 6am).
It last synced at 5:17pm today. what gives?
I bought the Incredible. I love it so far. (I could do a very large review on it vs. an iphone 3g.However, I have found that my corporate email calendar is not syncing correctly. I am missing events! I have reinstalled the active sync account 3 times now and each time it resyncs different calendar items.I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this or if I am just doing something wrong.
View 3 Replies View RelatedPicked up the Incredible the day it was release and have had no issues what so ever. I rooted the phone last night, and today Exchange Active Sync will not let my phone sleep. If I remove my Exchange account, or simply disable active sync, then the phone sleeps.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am having a calendar problem Microsoft Exchange/Active Sync. Calendar items I enter in my Incredible show up on Outlook. Initially, my Outlook calendar items also showed up on my Incredible but those calendar items have now disappeared after about three days and any new calendar items entered in Outlook do not appear. Email works fine and contacts entered in either Outlook or the Incredible sync without a problem.

I have Activesync working fine, able to receive and send emails, have all of my contacts and calendar items. Works flawlessly, other than the Company Directory. When I search for someone in the Global Address List using the Online Directories and then Company Directory I get the person, their email, Company and Title but no phone numbers. I have used a couple of iPhones and they return all the info and accessing the OMA page and searching returns all the info. Any thoughts? I looked at the logs on the OMA sever (also our OWA server) and show no errors in the Event viewer or the IIS logs and VZW was completely useless.
View 21 Replies View RelatedI got an incredible yesterday.Been trying to get Exchange active sync to work.The problem is that no matter what option I choose in Schedule (as items arrive, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, etc...), the phone always defaults back to Manual.Nothing I do will make the change stick.I've tried a battery pull, deleting the account multiple times and re-adding it.I even installed the trial version of touchdown to make sure push email was set up correctly on the server and it works perfectly in touchdown.Any thoughts?I've done about everything I can think of.I don't want to buy touchdown because this should work for free.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have the D Inc and have a question. Is there anyone to create filters in Active Sync Exchange that filters out emails so they don't hit your Inc. I have a rule setup in Outlook that automatically sends an email sent by a specific email address to go directly to my deleted items in my Personal Folders in Outlook 2007. The reason why i ask is because on my BB Storm, I setup a filter that blocked these emails from going to my BB In box. I also remember on my Moto Q with Win Mobile I always also able to setup a filter as well. I work at a help desk with a ticket tracking system, the system sends an email for every ticket opened by the help desk to all help desk employees, so my in box can fill up quite quickly. I did notice that if I have Outlook opened up on my desktop these emails do not show up on my D Inc, but when I close Outlook (Like I did last night before I went home), they are showing up today on my Inc.

Currently, I can only choose between 1 day or 3 days for downloading past e-mails on my active-sync account. This is really inconvenient since it is a work account and I would like to have access to 30 days worth of email. Does anyone know of a way to increase the days for downloading past email beyond the factory settings?

Is there a way to get the calendar events to show up on my google calendar? I use calendar pro which I love. I don't know if there is a work around or I am just not knowledgable enough to understand it. A for instance would be that my work email gives me an event or invite...it will show up on the phones calendar but not on my google calendar/events. (my google notification each morning may say "no events scheduled for the day" but phone calendar/calendar pro will show it)

My question is how do i get all of my contacts that are now synced with gmail BACK to backup assistant? it's sounds kind of silly but i want to make sure that all my contacts will be there for me in case i have to go back to my Env2 or another phone that does not support google sync.

I add an event on my work PC and -WHAMMO- it appears on my gCal and on my Eris in moments (If I do a force sync, otherwise it takes 1hr). The issue is, when I receive an invite to a meeting. Such that there is an "Accept / Decline / Tentative" option that we who use MS Office are probably familiar with. If I accept that meeting it will appear on my work computer, but will not sync in any way, shape or form w/ gCal, or my phone. I have to enter all these by hand on my work computer and THEN then they will show up. The reason I ask is: a) I'd like to not have to enter the meetings I'm INVITED to manually.....

I was having an offline chat with my system administrator and he told me that they have blocked something to avoid IP pool full issue ( new users were not able to connect to office wifi as almost everyone was using two IP, one on smartphone and one on laptop).
Question is how enhanced email client is able to sync? Can i make some changes in default android email client to make it sync.? My Edge connection is too slow to download emails and can't switch to 3g as it is a company provided connection.
Is there a active-sync support in Android just like how we see in Windows Mobile. If so how can i programatically set configuration parameters.

I haven't really looked at that many Android apps but I can't find a decent office type program similar to Microsoft Office or Open office to use excel, or similar office documents whilst I'm away from my laptop? Mail and Calendar works fine, but when syncing contacts it says it can't connect to server. I then have to remove my account and set it up for scratch again. Then it works fine for a weeks or so. Anyone else with the same problem?

For some reason, I keep getting an Exchange sync error for Contacts only. Mail and Calendar work fine, but I do not see Notes and Tasks. I have not yet tried syncing usb with my computer (basically because I'm scared to try). I'm hoping someone will take pity on the newbie and help me out.

Now, i have it set to check "Every 10 minutes" and my battery is at 60% after 7 hours of heavy use!! Incredible! I am using Exchange 2003 (hosted provider) and I've NEVER had a device do this. The devices always seem to last longer with "as items arrive" set - since it isn't syncing regardless every 10 minutes.

I can access it just fine when I am on the companies Wi-Fi (both OWA and Active sync), but when I try to connect from the internet, I cannot see either. Odd thing is that if I use Opera Mini 5 Beta on my Droid, I can connect to OWA, but the default browser wont allow it. My Iphone is working fine on both networks, so I know the system is working properly.

I cannot get it to work though I am using all the settings that our IT department has given me. The setup keeps saying, check your Exchange account settings. I am not even able to connect to the mail server. I am using Wi-Fi and I have a network connection so there is no problem with that part.
