When I'm charging my phone, it doesn't see my memory card, so when the phone rings while it's being charged, I don't get the song I chose as my ringtone (which is stored on the memory card) but rings with a default standard tone.

Since doing the OTA Froyo update on my Incredible I can not access the SD card when charging. I have gone into Settings > Connect to PC and default connection is set to Charging only. I have tried it with "Ask Me" both checked and unchecked, pulled the battery, etc. When connecting power it doesn't ask anyway as it knows it's power and not a computer connection. But as soon as any charger (have multiple chargers) is connected the SD card is unmounted. Unplugging power shows the sd card remounting. It's a big probably because if you want to let's say listen to a podcast or music on the sd card, I cant charge the phone at the same time.

No idea why, default is set to disk drive, only shows SD card storage on the computer. What am I doing wrong Ok it actually is connecting to both, but the drive for internal memory is saying please insert a disk into (E). I know they are both from the incredible from looking at the 'safely remove hardware' section of the PC and checking the box to display components.

With the latest version of Rockplayer there is a menu setting for System Player. If you check that.....
And use a file manager such as Astro.... Rockplayer shows up as an option....
It also ALLOWS YOU TO ACCESS THE INTERNAL MEMORY for Rockplayer!
Using the internal memory now while watching an xvid.
Does anyone know how to access the internal storage memory using ES File Explorer? I have tried going up and down the folder hierarchy and can never find it.I've read that Astro File Manager can access it but I prefer using ES File Explorer and don't want to have two file managers on my DI.I am surprised at this stage of Android that a file explorer is not included in the OS.

Anyway, they threw in a free 2GB SD card. I already bought a 8gig card. Should I return it? Will the 2gig be enough plus the phone memory? View 6 Replies View Relatedlast week before getting the incredible i had 2 extra micro sd cards laying around. Today i have 4. Of course i got the free 2gb sd card with the phone, its still in the package. And today when i went to the verizon store to buy a car charger and the red and black gradient case they gave me a 4gb micro sd for free! So now i have 2 extra micro sd's that i didn't have last week. Not too bad. So for those who didn't know i guess verizon has a deal going on now where if you buy a car charger and case you get a free 4gb micro sd memory card. I"m not sure how much they retail for but its got to be at least worth $10-15. The case and the charger came to $50 + change. Just a heads up for those that need these accessories.

View 7 Replies View RelatedJust rooted my 2.2 Incredible tonight using Unrevoked3 on my Macbook. Everything was fine. I had RomManager and wanted to get Cyanogen, but I wanted to back up my apps first just in case. So I ran Titanium Backup. I wasn't sure how to do it, so I went to Menu>More>Create "update.zip". The phone started doing something, then it said it failed to create update and then the phone went dead. Tried powering back on, got to HTC Incredible screen, then screen went black and phone did 5 quick vibrations back to back and the green "new message" indicator light started blinking like I had a new email or something.
Tried powering back on, but nothing happened. Pulled battery, put it back, still nothing. Had to pull battery, plug phone into computer, put battery back in and then it powered on. Tried a Reboot, but that didn't do anything. Tried re-running unrevoked3, but it won't do anything because now my phone can't find any SD card or internal memory. Both are just grayed out. So even though my phone has 8gig internal and an 8gig external SD card in it, it's not showing either. I can't load a new ROM because it needs the SD card. I put the SD card into my computer and it shows all of my stuff on there, so the card isn't corrupted.
I am running one of the leaked 2.2 OTA Roms, everything has been working fine, except lately, as of a week or two ago, the phone won't mount as Disk Drive unless I reboot, and it wasn't a one time fix, I have to do this every time. I noticed that when I plug the phone into the computer, I don't get the message saying "Charge Only / HTC Sync / Disk Drive / Mobile Broadband Connect etc." And yes, I have it set to ask me every time, and I even set the default connection type to Disk Drive, and still I unplug it and plug it back in and nothing. I know it connected okay, the computer recognizes it as HTC Android device or whatever it calls it, and the orange light lights up on the phone showing that's it's charging, but in my computer all that pops up is a weird optical drive that I can't access.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had my Desire for about 3 week snow. I absolutely loved it at first but am becoming increasingly frustrated. Main problem is the battery needs charging so often. I have done all the things suggested, dimmed lights, changed wall paper,turned off internet etc., but after playing a few games and making a couple of calls back to the charger it goes.
Now, today I went to send an sms and it says phone is full and won't let me send a text.! What's with that? 3 weeks old and it's full? I'm in shock. I have deleted as many msgs as I can and deleted some apps I don't use but still I can't send a text or open one. I really don't know what I can delete and now think this is going to be an eternal problem. This phone has turned from a huge delight to a huge disappointment for me and I haven't even paid my first bill.
