I have a class 2 16gb sandisk card, would I notice a difference with a class 6? And would a class 6 card snap photos faster. And with that I mean no lag after the photo is taken.

Anyway, they threw in a free 2GB SD card. I already bought a 8gig card. Should I return it? Will the 2gig be enough plus the phone memory? As I'm running 4.3 on my Galaxy Nexus I'm faced with updating myself to 4.4 once it's stable and fully functional. However, I'm wondering if I should based on the memory usage. 4.3 started making my phone lag a bit and have slower UI between app switching and such. Similar issues to:
4.3 high RAM usage?
So, how much memory 4.3 uses in comparison to 4.4? It would be interesting to see how Google has based it's claim to a 512MB memory phone being sufficient while 4.3 may not be?
last week before getting the incredible i had 2 extra micro sd cards laying around. Today i have 4. Of course i got the free 2gb sd card with the phone, its still in the package. And today when i went to the verizon store to buy a car charger and the red and black gradient case they gave me a 4gb micro sd for free! So now i have 2 extra micro sd's that i didn't have last week. Not too bad. So for those who didn't know i guess verizon has a deal going on now where if you buy a car charger and case you get a free 4gb micro sd memory card. I"m not sure how much they retail for but its got to be at least worth $10-15. The case and the charger came to $50 + change. Just a heads up for those that need these accessories.

I've tried a couple times, both moving small amount of files and/or entire folders and got Error messages in Astro. View 7 Replies View RelatedJust rooted my 2.2 Incredible tonight using Unrevoked3 on my Macbook. Everything was fine. I had RomManager and wanted to get Cyanogen, but I wanted to back up my apps first just in case. So I ran Titanium Backup. I wasn't sure how to do it, so I went to Menu>More>Create "update.zip". The phone started doing something, then it said it failed to create update and then the phone went dead. Tried powering back on, got to HTC Incredible screen, then screen went black and phone did 5 quick vibrations back to back and the green "new message" indicator light started blinking like I had a new email or something.
Tried powering back on, but nothing happened. Pulled battery, put it back, still nothing. Had to pull battery, plug phone into computer, put battery back in and then it powered on. Tried a Reboot, but that didn't do anything. Tried re-running unrevoked3, but it won't do anything because now my phone can't find any SD card or internal memory. Both are just grayed out. So even though my phone has 8gig internal and an 8gig external SD card in it, it's not showing either. I can't load a new ROM because it needs the SD card. I put the SD card into my computer and it shows all of my stuff on there, so the card isn't corrupted.
I am running one of the leaked 2.2 OTA Roms, everything has been working fine, except lately, as of a week or two ago, the phone won't mount as Disk Drive unless I reboot, and it wasn't a one time fix, I have to do this every time. I noticed that when I plug the phone into the computer, I don't get the message saying "Charge Only / HTC Sync / Disk Drive / Mobile Broadband Connect etc." And yes, I have it set to ask me every time, and I even set the default connection type to Disk Drive, and still I unplug it and plug it back in and nothing. I know it connected okay, the computer recognizes it as HTC Android device or whatever it calls it, and the orange light lights up on the phone showing that's it's charging, but in my computer all that pops up is a weird optical drive that I can't access.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have read a couple of threads about Bitmap creation and release using "recycle()" but still have a problem with an OOM when running my app (that creates bitmaps) on hardware - the dev phone 1 in this case. Multiple passes through my application screens work fine in the emulator but performing the same actions on the device results in an OOM exception almost immediately. At this point I would really like a deterministic way to replicate the scenario on the emulator which I thought should be possible by limiting its memory (though I did read somewhere that the emulator and the dev phone 1 have the same default memory so this should be moot but whatever) i.e. -memory 64, but I am having zero success. Am I using the correct emulator args to limit the memory and/or what is the strategy for making the emulator exactly the same as the device at least with respect to memory constraints/pressure?
