3rd time this has happened a mp3 auto starts and it is the same mp3, The Police, "message in a bottle". The only way i could stop it from playing was to "unmount" my SD card. I have not played any mp3's on this phone.

My car has BT for 'phone' and 'audio'.I never play audio that way though. The problem is that when I get in the car and it BT connects, the phone auto brings up the music app and starts to play. I don't have the car head unit set for that input method, so the tunes go nowhere, but suck battery life.There is no way to tell the head unit to not use BT audio when connected. Is there a way to have the phone not bring up the music app when BT connected?
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I just hooked up a aux input on my car stereo and after a couple of days I noticed that when I unplug the headphones it automatically stops playing the music. This is awesome! I just unplug it when i get to work and i don't have to go in and push pause or stop. I love it. Question is... is there an app that will automatically start playing music from the player? So i could just plug it in and have the music start and then stop again when i unplug it. I only use the headphone jack and listen to music in the car.

I notice everytime I turn on the phone a bunch of app also start such as messenger, paypal, voice, fring etc.. so the first thing I do after turn the phone on was using task advance to kill all those apps. I'm looking to copy selected albums to my phone but during the sync process I'd like them to be re-encoded to a lower bit rate so I can fit more on the phone. I'd like this done during the sync so I don't have to keep a second, lower bitrate copy of everything.WMP12 claims to be able to do this but, not surprisingly for a piece of Microsoft software, it doesn't actually work so I'm looking for something else that can do it. Is there anything else out there?Also, nearly all media managing software constantly just refers to syncing "playlists". I don't ever use playlists as I tend to listen to whole albums in order so I select artist then album, no need for a "playlist". Can I use these things to copy across whole albums without the need to create a playlist of that album and use that to sync?

View 3 Replies View RelatedGot a nexus one and on it is Android 2.1 I believe?I plug my car's headphone style cable into the phone all the time to listen to internet radio and even the internal mp3's on it every once in a while.The problem is the phone's music player starts all the time on its own and plays random music OVER whatever internet radio app I may be using.Its so annoying and I can't figure out how to make it stop.Out of no where listening to iHeartRadio, or DroidLive, the Mp3 native music players starts and plays.I've read people saying use the drop down (notification) to go into the app, and hit pause, then the phone's back button to get out and that that particular order will stop it.Even if its instructions on how to delete the native music app and a suggestion for another 3rd party music app anything just HAVE to get rid of this auto play thing.

While I understand the latest system update has a lot of problems, the one issue I have had has been going on for quite some time. My music player autostarts. The player I am referring to is the 'MUSIC' app (the one where the icon looks like a blue circle and has a green musical note on it.) The trigger seems to be when I get calls from a blocked number. My company's outgoing calls are automatically blocked so each time I get a call from a coworker my phone launches into whatever song I last played instead of ringing. It doesn't matter if the phone was muted - the volume is on so everyone gets to hear the latest tune. Along with the unexpected musical interlude, I don't get any indication of the incoming call.
View 3 Replies View RelatedUntil recently, I had a BB Storm2. When I would stream Pandora (via the aux port and headphone jack) while driving and received a call, Pandora would pause and the call would be routed to my Jawbone BT.
Now I have an S3 (and loving it!) with ICS. Although Pandora will pause, the audio seems to remain routed through the aux headset and not to the BT headset.
I can hear the call ring notification via the BT headset, but once the call is answered, there is no apparent BT functionality.
I've tried to search through the settings for phone, BlueTooth and Pandora and have found nothing that seems to work.
How do I stop my music from auto syncing?

Its a FREE PC program that will auto convert video to the correct codec & framerate of the EVO (& other devices). The program also syncs music & pics as well. View 16 Replies View RelatedThere is an annoying playlist on my Nexus 5 on Play Music app. It is under Auto Playlists and is called "Last added". I can't seem to delete it, which is annoying. I don't know if these auto playlists will go away after some time by themselves, but if not, do any of you know how to delete the playlist?
Btw, I used iSyncr to transfer my music from Mac to phone, and I didn't have that playlist before.

-Temporarily cache when streaming
-Automatically cache when on wifi and charging
What the auto cache does/how it works? Does the app start caching random music on it's own overnight?
If I'm on the home screen of my Desire and I play the Play button on my (bundled HTC) headphones, both Music and Listen start playing. If I was already listening to music and I hit the button to pause it, the music pauses but once again Listen starts playing. Is there any way I can easily avoid this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have two sources of audio: the music player and Doggcatcher for podcasts. Whenever I listen to a track in the music player and then stop listening, it remembers and keeps it "ready". Then I go and listen to a podcast and, again, the last thing played remains ready to play at any point. So, here is the problem. When I go to listen to music, I can get into the music player and hit play, no problem. But, the first time I use the inline remote to pause and then play, that "play" command turns on the podcast player as well and BOTH start playing, music and podcast.
Oddly, when I am just in Doggcatcher and play a podcast, the inline remote will not automatically start the music player. Is there a way to make sure Doggcatcher will not start when I want to listen to the music player? I suppose I could load up Google Listen and see what would happen with that program instead.
Is there a way to set a shortcut on the homescreen for a ringtone so i can just click it and it will start playing on the music player?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI think this has to be a problem with the SD card and scanning it, but for some reason after syncing my phone, plugging it into the computer to charge, or even plugging it in to charge in the car, my music playlists seem to be duplicating all the time. I have loaded my playlists using Doubletwist (Slower than hell freezing over), I have tried Doubletwist, Mixzing, Cube, and Zimly and all have shown some or all of the duplicates. I have had it with Mixzing because of this, but the others seem to be doing it as well, just not as much. I have actually had up to 6 copies of the same playlist at one time. There is still only 1 music playlist that has songs in it, but there are 2, 3, or up to 6 copies for some reason. Another strange thing is the original actual playlist has each word starting with Capitals, but the copies are are small case. I've looked all over my SD card to see if I can find where these "phantom" playlists are stored, but I haven't found anything yet.
Also, after that stupid Froyo update, my phone won't allow me to play anything from the SD card when it is plugged in. Yes, I have tried changing the setting from Charge only to all of the other 3 options at one time or another, but in my car, it refuses to allow access to the SD card when plugged in regardless of what I do or what setting I have changed. Not impressed with the Froyo update AT ALL! This morning my SD card decided to lose all of my videos that were on it (5 GB worth) and about 1/3 of my music. I have no idea where they went, but they are gone. This phone was awesome in most every way until that stupid update, I wish I could go back to 2.1! My Pandora sucks now, my Multi-touch keyboard won't work anymore, I lost a whole bunch of files off my SD card as mentioned above, and I haven't noticed a single benefit other than my camera opens quicker now.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI wanted to know why certain apps just start up on their own. To clarify, I'm not talking about apps that start up on boot up. I referring to ones that start at random. For example, every so often Pandora will start playing even though it was on pause. This has happen when I'm in another app. So there is no way that I pressed on the Pandora app to play. In addition, when I try to kill apps that are running in processes. Their will be some that I have not opened that day or in a while. I going through Astro and try killing apps that I don't need to use on a regular bases. Does anyone have any ideas?

Is anyone noticing a problem with auto sync shutting itself off? Every couple of days, my auto sync feature shuts itself off. When I realize I'm not getting emails, I check and sure enough, it's off again.
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor some reason my wifi no longer connects to my home network automatically. I need to go in to the wireless settings then in to the wifi settings menu itself, where I'll see my network "Not in range-remembered" for a second and then it'll connect itself. It wasn't like this a few days ago, and I don't think this happens at the 2 other wireless networks I frequent, I'll try and remember to check tomorrow when I drop off my son at the in-laws.
I deleted the network and added it back in, still no auto connect. I rebooted the phone and it connected once, then after I turned off wifi and turned it back on, it went back to needing a manual connect, which it really isn't even that. It just doesnt want to connect unless I go in to the wifi settings.
