Android :: Auto Start Lock 2.0 When Reboot?
Apr 1, 2010Is it possible to auto start lock 2.0 on reboot.

Is it possible to auto start lock 2.0 on reboot.
I rooted and installed this Atomod for s7500, [URL] ....
It was awesome. It was also running good. Not a single application crashed.
But when i rebooted my android, it won't start. It won't go past the Samsung logo. Nor is it entering into CM recovery mode nor into Download mode.
It is two days now that my GS2 (stock 4.1.2, PhilZ latest kernel + some bloatware removal and little ROM integrations, like androidlost: nothing recent, anyway) after being turned off all night long, boots up to the home: it responds for half a minute than freezes for a minute or two; then soft-reboots and then go all ok.If I turn it off and on, I have no problems: this only happens at first boot in the morning.
I'm not sure, but it also seems that if I let it boot the first time without touching anything, after the screen goes black the autoreboot does not trigger.
I recently bought a new spacious SD card for my new phone and decided to move all my files there. I was having trouble with the apps so I found out FolderMount could be useful. I rooted my device without any problems and checked it too before using FolderMount. However when I opened FolderMount it said it needed to patch/repair something so I hit OK. After that it said You can reboot your device now. so I did. After that my device starts and stands still after the samsung logo is shown. I wouldn't call it freeze because I can see it's still working (the background of the samsung logo gets a blue gradient every second) but I'm beginning to worry about it since it has been in that state for like more than an hour. Rebooting wont work.
View 4 Replies View Related3rd time this has happened a mp3 auto starts and it is the same mp3, The Police, "message in a bottle". The only way i could stop it from playing was to "unmount" my SD card. I have not played any mp3's on this phone.

I notice everytime I turn on the phone a bunch of app also start such as messenger, paypal, voice, fring etc.. so the first thing I do after turn the phone on was using task advance to kill all those apps. Is there a way to prevent them from auto start?

It seems like something is happening to make the program run super slowly. The ND time the program exits it takes a very long time to exit and when the phone returns to the main screen the program is almost totally unresponsive. The phone will eventually restart itself.
Is there a way auto lock duration can be extended to more than 10 minutes ? the maximum showing on settings is 10 minutes. Our Administrator policy mandates the use of this security setting as I use the phone for corporate email & accesses. The 10 minutes is not enough as it is really annoying. GT-I9300

View 49 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to let the screen time-out and go black, but NOT re lock. Its a pain to have the phone sitting down for a little bit and come back to it always being locked. If i shut the screen off and put it in my pocket, i want it to lock, but auto time-outs should let it come right back up
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm a new desire user and would like to know if there is a way (apps/setttings etc) to stop the phone from going to sleep and screen locking when it is on charge? I use it for listening to music in the car in a charging dock and it's a pain to have to unlock the screen and enter my password if I want to skip tracks. I have to have the password active because of the corporate email policy. Anyway of setting it so it doesn't turn off when on charge?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI usually tap the off button to turn off the screen when I put my phone inside my front pants pocket. I even have the security feature on so when I turn on the phone, I first have to draw a pattern to unlock it. However, I've noticed that sometimes after I've done all this, my X10 seems to be doing stuff on it's own, ie) downloading pic from the net, sending random text messages, randomly calling contacts. I know because sometimes after I "unlock" my phone, I see that the phone is in the middle of doing something. I thought by turning on the security feature, it's supposed to prevent accidental taps on the phone and doing random things while inside the pocket.
View 3 Replies View RelatedNew to this forum and back to SE with my Xperia after a few years with LG. Love my fone so far, but had not too much time playing with it so far, but one thing that bugs me is that my screen auto lock straight after a call even if I am not back to my home screen, how can I stop it to do this. Reason is that when I unlock it again, I am at the previous screen, I have then to cancel screens to go back to my home page to start again, this is a pain.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for an alarm clock app with one very specific feature - allow me to set the alarm tone to automatically stop after X seconds, then start again at the next snooze interval, and play for another X seconds.
Sure it seems every alarm app out there allows me to set Snooze intervals and stuff, but with my waking up habit, I don't like to physically have to touch the phone to get it to shut up until the next snooze interval. I like to lay in bed and let the alarm go for like 3-4 snooze intervals before I finally wake up.
I've tried Alarm Clock PlusV2, Alarm Clock Xtreme, Quick Alarm. None of them seem to have this.
I installed it on my Droid and when I open the list and long press on an app it gives me the option to Auto-Kill. I assume this means I won't have to kill this app any longer so I select this option but I find that I keep having to kill the same apps over and over again. What's the point of Auto-Kill or what am I doing wrong? There are lots of programs (most I didn't even install) that run all the time and I'm having battery issues so I don't have battery to waste on programs I'm not using and will probably never use.
View 22 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to tell Android to do the following when setting the background image for a TextView?
1. Scale the image so that it's just large enough to fill the the entire viewing area without any black borders, while still maintaining its aspect ratio. This might require clipping once the image is actually displayed, but that's OK (read on).
2. Then, center the image in the viewing area, both horizontally and vertically.
3. Finally, clip the image to the size of the viewing area, without any further rescaling.
I'm guessing that this kind of image processing is not automatically done via any of Android's facilities, and that I'll have to do it myself. If this is a correct assumption, could someone point me to some documentation or some examples which could explain how I can accomplish this? I'm guessing that I'll have to subclass my TextView and implement my own onDraw() method, but could someone confirm or deny that assumption?
Are these the same? I have searched the forum, and can't seem to find the answer. I don't find any "auto brightness" setting in the settings menu on the Hero. I have auto backlight unchecked. What exactly does this do? Is this the screen dimming? Sorry, I am confused. Uh oh! Must be a senior moment!
While I am showing off photos I have on my phone, the screen dims...how do I keep this from happening?
Also, relating to photos..when I go to "Albums", I have 4 folders listed...Camera Shots, All Photos, etc. When I take a pictures with the phone camera, they seems to be in both folders. Why?
My wife and I have been having the same problem. We keep the auto-brightness option checked, but every so often we find that it goes back to manual mode--and it always reverts the phone back to full brightness setting. Any ideas why this would happen?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to limit my mobile data usage with out jumping through hoops.
I'm looking for a widget, that with one click of a button, it can restrict background data, disable auto-sync and enable mobile data, and when pressed again, enable WiFi, disable background restriction and enable auto-sync.
This function, no matter how trivial, would save time and effort.
Is there anything like this out there? Would something like this require root?

I was wondering what does this change and how (other than better battery life...supposedly) will this affect my phone? Will it continue to work the same as before? or will it only work in sprint network with no roaming or what?
View 41 Replies View RelatedSo one of the cool things about Froyo is being able to check off Enable Automatic Update for market apps. So i have that checked off for like 80+% of my 80+ apps (that took a while to do let me tell you). Now i have had three apps have updates available since i checked off the box, yet they never actually automatically updated. I waited, hours, still never updated. Is there a setting i need to modify? Do i need to tell it what time of day to do it? Anyone else noticing this? I only really want it in apps that i don't care about reading the new features. But it is annoying that i have it enabled and it does nothing.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to have the slider Lock screen come up before the pattern lock?
I would like to slide unlock then enter pattern.
I'm using 2.1 dd10 rooted
I am plan B and AVG security installed, both don't always work, I have pattern lock on the phone but even in pattern lock mode when i press and hold power button the phone gives me option to shutdown.
If someone steals my phone they will be able to shut it off without unlocking it since holding down power button still works. So is there a way to lock the power button from shutting off phone when the phone is in pattern unlock mode?
