View 4 RepliesAs the title states, when music is playing and the headphones are pulled, does the music player stop playing?
View 6 Replies View RelatedWell the problems started 3 weeks ago when i noticed whenever i move around the headphones inside the jack, the music stops or one of the ear buds stop working. so i thought it was the headphones since skullcandies don't last long. i got a new pair and listened again but it STILL HAPPENED . (btw, the phone is not rooted)
The Phone still plays media fine without the headphones, so i thought no big deal. NEW PROBLEMS started to occur. The phone would NOT PLAY Media files whatsoever. (games, music, notifications, APPS ) every time it happens i have to restart the phone.
Got a nexus one and on it is Android 2.1 I believe?I plug my car's headphone style cable into the phone all the time to listen to internet radio and even the internal mp3's on it every once in a while. The problem is the phone's music player starts all the time on its own and plays random music OVER whatever internet radio app I may be using. Its so annoying and I can't figure out how to make it stop.Out of no where listening to iHeartRadio, or DroidLive, the Mp3 native music players starts and plays.I've read people saying use the drop down (notification) to go into the app, and hit pause, then the phone's back button to get out and that that particular order will stop it.Even if its instructions on how to delete the native music app and a suggestion for another 3rd party music app anything just HAVE to get rid of this auto play thing.

I have some scosche headphones that are for iphones but the pause/play button works. I want the app "music" not to pause/play but for only winamp pro to pause/play. How to disable music from reacting? Can I completely uninstall the music app?
I am using 2.3.4 and facing critical memory outage (in my galaxy S plus), reason being most of those applications I install keep on running in the background, when i kill them using some (Task Killer) they automatically kicks off and restart themselves again.
Is there anything like services (the way we have in windows) which i need to stop to restrict them to run automatically and at startups. I am new to Android.
if I use chrome and I go another app when I back to chrome all page refreash again.
I turn off I go to " settings - bandwidth management - preload webpapgs and I select never.
its same every time u out and back to chrome auto refresh.
when i type something, say i misspell a word. if i wanna go edit that word. when i tap on the word, the flash cursor moves to the word, and any text behind the cursor is deleted one by one until all texts are gone. i have to retype everything behind the cursor. so annoying.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy incredible keeps launching google maps on it's own. I will kill it will ATK and it will stay killed for a while but sometime between 15min to 45 min later it will have launched itself again. Has anyone found a way to stop this?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got the TaskPanel app and it allows me to kill background running apps/services easily. My question is how can I get these apps/services to just stop launching themselves. I'm not using them at all and I really am just looking for a way to get them to stop launching and running. They include services like:
Google Voice
Alarm Clock
Calendar
Corporate Calendar
I have a pair of Dr Dre Beats Solo headphones. Theses are equipped with a mic and inline controls for answering calls/pausing the music. The problem I have with my DX is that when I plug in the headphones, it will automatically dial the most recent # in my call log. Anyone else have this issue? Is there a setting somewhere and I just cant find it? Also the Mic inline does not work, it uses the phones mic from what I can tell.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am currently using a Samsung Galaxy Note LTE and this phone is really getting on my nerves. Sometimes I am using an app halfway and it suddenly auto-close for absolutely no reason. Just to note, it's running on Android 4.0.4 ICS. GT-N7005
Maybe I should have bought an GS3 or something else other than this garbage.
Until recently, I had a BB Storm2. When I would stream Pandora (via the aux port and headphone jack) while driving and received a call, Pandora would pause and the call would be routed to my Jawbone BT.
Now I have an S3 (and loving it!) with ICS. Although Pandora will pause, the audio seems to remain routed through the aux headset and not to the BT headset.
I can hear the call ring notification via the BT headset, but once the call is answered, there is no apparent BT functionality.
I've tried to search through the settings for phone, BlueTooth and Pandora and have found nothing that seems to work.
I am having a very frustrating problem with my new EVO. Playing music through headphones plugged into the 3.5mm jack is very inconsistent to say the least. When I first got the phone I could not hear music through the headphones (using the htc music app) at all. I could hear ringers, notifications, etc. just not music. I updated the software and it worked, though now I think it had nothing to with that, it was more restarting the phone.
Earlier today I plugged in the headphones and the music came through fine. The song I was listening to stopped, I went to select another song, and the music stopped working through the headphones after having worked just a second before. Again, I could hear every other sound but not the music. I turned the phone off and on again and it worked fine again. Hours later, I plug my headphones back in, and nothing. As a background, it's not he the headphones I've tried several. I can hear everything else, notifications, ringers, etc., not music. The headphones icon is present at the top.
I actually cant hear anything besides notifications through the headphones when this problem occurs including Youtube, FM Radio, Pandora, etc. Although I have manged to somehow get music to play through both the speaker and the headphones by fiddling with the headphones/speaker option in the FM Tuner. Remember when I said I could hear the ringer, notifications, etc. well, those are actually coming through both the external headset speaker and the headphones. I'm not sure if that is normal behavior but, it is strange. Either way, I can't hear music, youtube, etc. through the headphones.
In my application i have several activities and i want to start background music whenever my *Application* is launched and stop music whenever *Application* is paused or stopped.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThere is an annoying playlist on my Nexus 5 on Play Music app. It is under Auto Playlists and is called "Last added". I can't seem to delete it, which is annoying. I don't know if these auto playlists will go away after some time by themselves, but if not, do any of you know how to delete the playlist?
Btw, I used iSyncr to transfer my music from Mac to phone, and I didn't have that playlist before.
If you look into settings, there are now two cache options.
-Temporarily cache when streaming
-Automatically cache when on wifi and charging
What the auto cache does/how it works? Does the app start caching random music on it's own overnight?
Have had my new Incredible now for a couple of weeks and love it. I am still learning so much about how it works and have searched but can't seem to find an answer to this question. When I plugged in my earbuds from my Ipod tonight to go for a walk, the music continued to play through the speaker and not the headphones. I can't seem to find what I have done. I am using Isynch for my music and the preloaded music app. Do I need special headphones?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI use my headphones on my laptop to listen to music & i was wondering if i can also use them to talk to my friends ?, I have a built in mic on my laptop.
View 1 Replies View RelatedCan anyone recommend an app I can use to control my Music via my mic enabled headphones, similar to what the iphone offers. I found an app called droid shuffle, which sounded perfect but I can't get it to work on my Captivate. Basically I want to be able to press the mic button twice to advance to the next track. This and DRM are the only reasons I wish my droid was more iphoneish.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI loaded my music onto my Droid recently. When I took it to the gym to work out I was disappointed with how little noise came out of the headphones. I am just using the stock headphones from my iPod. Would another brand give me more volume? And, if so what are some of the loudest you know of?
View 11 Replies View RelatedGot a Desire partly because once the 32GB comes out (on pre-order) I'll be using it as an mp3 player as well as a phone. Managed to find a good program to sync my music with it (MediaMonkey) and now the only other hurdle to this seems to be the volume levels which are too low for my liking. Will simply getting headphones with a volume control push the volume up further? I'm planning on buying some headphones for it that'll include a mic, volume control and maybe a couple of buttons to control the music, but is there anything that has all these? I'm not keen on bluetooth devices in the slightest, so just want some super-duper in-ear headphones really.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen playing music or watching video using the headphones that came with it, there is a lot of crackling and hissing. If you go back to the home screen, there is a high pitched whistling sound (almost as if you've placed a microphone next to a speaker and are getting feedback as a result.) I can't seem to get any FM radio stations either. I've tried three different sets of headphones as well as the set bundled with the Desire and all have the same problem. Is this a known issue or should I phone O2 and get it replaced.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWould love a good music app for my captivate which bypasses everything and immediately goes to the last song played and begins from there. Bypasses the unlock screen and any "last apps" I was using. A true "plug and play". Is there such an app? Right now I have to plug in the phones, unlock the phone, back out of my messenger or email program, select the music app, select the album or artist and then the songs. Its all a bit tiring if I do it somewhat frequently like in and out of the car.
View 13 Replies View RelatedSomeone please tell me I'm an idiot and searching the wrong place for this setting but I have no music when headphones are connected but can take calls on wired headset so I know it works. . . I have sound when Bluetooth headphones are connected. When no headphones are connected music does not play thru speaker either.
I have only installed last.fm in the last week and have since uninstalled
It..... yes my volume for ring and media are set all the way up. I'm muted somehow here. Any ideas?
I am stage managing a show and have all of the sound cues on my Droid 4
The only problem is that I am using 'My Music' and when cue finishes (say a gunshot) the next begins (say a fog horn). This is very problematic
They all under the same album 'download'
I copied my music files from my PC to the phone, but now when I try and play the music in Play Music, its somehow accessing the internet, changing my tags, album art etc which I've spent years perfecting on my own. BTW none of this stuff is in the cloud or purchased from Google, they're all "real" MP3 files.
Is there a way to stop the app from doing this, or are there alternate apps?
Currently android devices play/pause on audio cable plugin. But I need it to do the exact same thing with the charge cable. Mainly because I use a dock for music playback on one of my stereo's and would like to just drop it into the dock and it will start playing, or pull it and it will pause
