Its a FREE PC program that will auto convert video to the correct codec & framerate of the EVO (& other devices). The program also syncs music & pics as well. I'm looking to copy selected albums to my phone but during the sync process I'd like them to be re-encoded to a lower bit rate so I can fit more on the phone. I'd like this done during the sync so I don't have to keep a second, lower bitrate copy of everything.WMP12 claims to be able to do this but, not surprisingly for a piece of Microsoft software, it doesn't actually work so I'm looking for something else that can do it. Is there anything else out there?Also, nearly all media managing software constantly just refers to syncing "playlists". I don't ever use playlists as I tend to listen to whole albums in order so I select artist then album, no need for a "playlist". Can I use these things to copy across whole albums without the need to create a playlist of that album and use that to sync?
View 7 Replies View Relatedeverytime i sync with DT and my Evo, the pics come out small. for instance, i have hi res pics, 4mb perfect pics from my wedding. when i sync, the pics only show up 1/2 the screen size. when i expand it out, it looks like crap. there are no settings within DT that do anything to pics or music or anything. just where your library is. thats it. does anyone have any tips for me? i have like 20gb of pics i used to sync with itunes and my iphone. turned out to be bewteen 3-4gb once they were resized to the iphone specs (within itunes obviously). i am looking to do this exact same thing. i want all my pics, but the 20gb will obviously not fit on the 8gb SD card, nor a 16 if i had to buy.
View 13 Replies View RelatedSo I got doubleTwist hoping for a nice easy sync to get all of my music from iTunes onto my phone. The problem is that I haven't purchased songs on itunes in over a year and I guess now they have something called iTunesPlus, which costs $0.30/song to upgrade to (and remove DRM) and doubleTwist can't convert my iTunes purchases to a playable format due to DRM protection. Is there another music sync service for Android that you guys would recommend that can help me actually put the music that I already paid for once on my phone? I'm not interested in giving Jobs another $182 just to listen to music I already paid for.

It seems amazon really makes things a little complicated trying to concert PDF files into ePub files and sync with the default kindle app. I cannot get kindle to recognize the books I converted for anything. I downloaded file explorer and I'm moving it into the kindle app and into the amazon android folder and no luck. Does converted PDFs to other formats know which folder it's supposed to go into?

Quick question though: I do not have a data plan therefore my emails are not constantly syncing and such. I was wondering if there is an application that would make my wifi turn on at a set time and for a set length of time in order to fetch and sync and then turn off. This would be very useful especially in the morning right before I wake up so that when I first pick up my G1 in the morning the new emails have been synced.

I have to go into Account and Syncs and select "Cancel Sync" to remove the icon. I dont have auto sync enabled. I would like to know if there is a way to track whats accessing that feature. I have full Systempanel and Logcat but what should i be looking for? Would it be like weather widgets?
