I've searched all over and cannot find a way to mark Read SMS text messages as Unread. I get lots of texts and sometimes don't want to address specific ones until later. On my BB and other phones, I could mark as Unread, so it would stand out later when I could deal with them. There doesn't seem to be an option in the initial menus for texts.

I've been playing around with my Incredible for a bit now but I still can't figure out how to mark all emails read in the default email app. Anyone been able to figure this out yet?

When I log into this POP account on the PC, these messages are all READ. How can I mark them all as READ without having to open each message individually? When I had a Blackberry, it had an option "Mark Prior Opened" or "Mark All Prior Opened".

At the moment I am using the default htc email widget, however when ever I read an email from my gmail account it doesnt update the read status so it still shows as unread.
I would like one that would update the read status and possible the support for unified inbox so I can see new mail from hotmail account and gmail.
I'd like to be able to mark all email as read without clicking through each one. In addition, I have done so from the email web interfaces (verizon netmail and gmail) but it does not sync to the EVO, even though I manually sync the device.Any help here?Is this Sprint not playing well with Verizon and Google?

I typically check them on a PC, but if I am out of the office, I will check them on my Sprint HTC Hero. If I have read the email on my PC, there is no reason for me to open it on my phone except to update the notifications as to how many emails I have left.It would be nice to keep my notifications up-to-date as to how many unread emails i have. So when my phone shows that I have, say, 30 new emails, is there a way to go into the basic mail application, select all emails, and mark them as read? Or do I have to do it one by one. Or is there an app on the market that has better functionality for email and I can ditch the standard one.

I hate when someone responds with something short enough that I can read it right from the bar. Then the only way that it will not show up as a new message on the message icon or be bold in the list, I have to click on it, open the message app, and then back out of it. On my blackberry, when an email was pushed, I would read it, but it wouldn't be marked as read in my inbox itself. I liked that because then I would know I had to address the email when I was next at a computer. Is my only option to add a gmail account via POP3 instead of IMAP? I tried that and didn't like it because then none of my gmail filters work, and messages that would normally just be archived end up getting forwarded via POP. I dealt with that on the BB by setting up filters on the BIS side, but I can't do that here if I just tell the droid to just fetch all the email via POP as it comes in. Is there any way to keep the filters in place but not have read status synced?

I have synced my desire with yahoo mail.The phone doesnt duplicate deletions from yahoo to phone or phone to yahoo so have to delete everything twice (Windows mobile does it.)Also when the phone goes and gets the mail from yahoo it marks them as read on the internet and unread on the phone. WM synched the read status - did not mark the yahoo mail as read when downloaded and the read status was synced from the phone to yahoo or yahoo to the phone depending on which was read first.Presume i need to download someone's app.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a few gmail accounts on my Droid and that work fine, but my msn email that I added has a problem. If I get messages and don't open them, then 15 minutes later I get a notification of new mail, but when I check there's nothing new. So then I tried marking messages read to prevent this but some of the messages revert to unread on their own then renotify me as if I have new messages. So I either have to open them or delete them to stop getting false notifications.
Anyone else have this issue, any settings I can change that will fix this? Nobody has access to this email account except me so I know it's not a matter of someone marking unread from the desktop.
