Apr 30, 2010I added a POP account to my Incredible and it brought in "x" number of messages and marked them as UNREAD. When I log into this POP account on the PC, these messages are all READ. How can I mark them all as READ without having to open each message individually? When I had a Blackberry, it had an option "Mark Prior Opened" or "Mark All Prior Opened".

Dec 23, 2013I am receiving many emails from different accounts (approx 6 different accounts) and I would like to have a way to read the emails from the notification panel and mark them as "read" or "delete".
And, in the mail app, the best will be with a consolidated view for unread messages.
I don't want an application that "proxifies" our data (man in the middle; and they have the password of our mailbox).

Apr 19, 2010I have a problem getting the mail application for Exchange to work. I read through several threads and got to install Touchdown. Strange thing is that this app works fine and the mails from the Exchange server are sent perfectly to the HTC Desire. What is even more strange is that a colleague of mine has exactly the same Desire and is on the same Exchange server as I am and for him, the Mail application for Exchange works perfectly. I really want to use the standard mail application. I saw there is an option in Touchdown 'Fetch and trust certificate' which is not available in Mail for Exchange. I already tried to logon to the webmail via a browser but this did not seem to help.

Jul 20, 2010How do I select the standard default greeting for my sprint voice mail? the standard greeting Im referring to is the default we always hear with the female electronic voice"...u have reached the voice mail box of ###-###-####.....". A couple of nights ago I was prompted to enter (record) my own "greeting" and now I cant find the option to revert back to the default one. I tried all the options after calling my own voice mail but cant seem to find the default greeting option. Also, I stopped receiving voice mail notification (the numerical number of voice mails I have next to the voicemail icon) after the software update. how do i get that to work again?

Jun 18, 2010I need an e-mail application that sends all e-mails to my phone, but doesn't read them on the server (unless I actually read them).I have to check my parents e-mail on-the-go, so when I sync it to my phone, all the e-mails are recieved very well. However, right as the phone gets the e-mails, it reads them on the server without me even touching the e-mails (which gets very annoying to my parents). Is there anyway to make it so that when my phone pulls the e-mails that it doesn't read them on the server?I have the Samsung Moment, and the e-mail server is Yahoo. I've tried both K-9 and the default e-mail app, but niether have let me have this setting (as far as I'm aware).

Aug 17, 2010I keep getting messages in my hotmail in box saying that I have new mail when in fact I have already read the email. This seems to happen every time I delete mail when I go to hotmail on the web. For instance, I just deleted 1 email on the web then a few minutes later my phone is saying I have 7 unread messages from last week that I already read and kept on the phone.

Jun 8, 2010i set up my yahoo account on my galaxy with 1.6 and everything is working perfectly, except that when i log in online, all my mail is marked as read.basically every time the phone goes and gets the new email is marks them as read on the server/webmail.I primarily check my mail online as opposed to the phone so this is a big problem. i've gone through the settings of both the default mail client as well as K9 and i cant find anything to change this behavior.i have yahoo mail plus and have also looked through the prefrences in my yahoo mail options.does anyone have an idea on how to use pop mail while keeping unread messages as unread on the server?

1 Exchange Account - Push
1 IMAP (Gmail) - 2 hourly
1 POP (Hotmail) - Once daily
My issue is that I am receiving alerts for the same new mail repeatedly. Here's the gist:
11:50 - New mail hits my inbox.
12:00 - I receive a notification of the new email.
12:05 - I check my inbox, but choose not to open the email at this time.
14:00 - I get a notification of a 'new' email, yet on checking it's the one received at 11:50, but still haven't opened.
15:00 - Rinse and repeat. Now, I'm not sure how many times this is happening, or even if it's everytime, but there's something definitely glitchy with mail notifications.Has anybody else noticed similar behaviour? If not I may try removing/adding my accounts back in again.

Jul 22, 2010I tried to set up my pop3 e-mail on my phone last night and I keep getting a "username or password is incorrect" error message on my incoming email. I am able to send e-mail from the phone.The funny thing is that if I check my email from my PC and empty any e-mail's that are in my inbox, then try to check for new e-mail's with my DroidX (knowing that there are none) I do not get any errors.The errors only occur when there are e-mails in my inbox.Didn't have any problems with this setup with the incredible.
