View 3 RepliesI added a POP account to my Incredible and it brought in "x" number of messages and marked them as UNREAD. When I log into this POP account on the PC, these messages are all READ. How can I mark them all as READ without having to open each message individually? When I had a Blackberry, it had an option "Mark Prior Opened" or "Mark All Prior Opened".

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am receiving many emails from different accounts (approx 6 different accounts) and I would like to have a way to read the emails from the notification panel and mark them as "read" or "delete".
And, in the mail app, the best will be with a consolidated view for unread messages.
I don't want an application that "proxifies" our data (man in the middle; and they have the password of our mailbox).
I've been playing around with my Incredible for a bit now but I still can't figure out how to mark all emails read in the default email app. Anyone been able to figure this out yet?
View 25 Replies View RelatedI've searched all over and cannot find a way to mark Read SMS text messages as Unread. I get lots of texts and sometimes don't want to address specific ones until later. On my BB and other phones, I could mark as Unread, so it would stand out later when I could deal with them. There doesn't seem to be an option in the initial menus for texts.

In addition, I have done so from the email web interfaces (verizon netmail and gmail) but it does not sync to the EVO, even though I manually sync the device.Any help here?Is this Sprint not playing well with Verizon and Google?

View 4 Replies View RelatedMaybe I'm having a senior moment, but its been driving me nuts for weeks where is the facility to select some or all of the unread emails in a mailbox as being read?I'm using HTC email widget (the one showing individual emails per screen if that makes any difference)
View 5 Replies View Relatedmy phone is showing that i have over 2000 new emails in my inbox gmail inbox, all of them are from april and earlier (unless I get a new one today, then of course that shows up). Is there a way to delete all the old messages, or at least mark them all read so i dont have an icon on my screen that reads 2341?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI am wanting to know how once I have read an email on my GMail app, for the email to be marked as read on the GMail server. What currently happens is whatever emails I read on my phone, are only marked as read on my phone instead of on GMail itself, so when I open up Thunderbird (or GMail on the web), I get a load of emails what are 'new', when infact I have read them on my phone!
View 2 Replies View RelatedI know this is posted all over android forums, but I just wanted to see if there is a solution yet. I get 30-40 emails a day in my gmail account (the only account I use). I typically check them on a PC, but if I am out of the office, I will check them on my Sprint HTC Hero. If I have read the email on my PC, there is no reason for me to open it on my phone except to update the notifications as to how many emails I have left.It would be nice to keep my notifications up-to-date as to how many unread emails i have. So when my phone shows that I have, say, 30 new emails, is there a way to go into the basic mail application, select all emails, and mark them as read? Or do I have to do it one by one. Or is there an app on the market that has better functionality for email and I can ditch the standard one.

View 6 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to mark text messages as read right from the notification bar? I hate when someone responds with something short enough that I can read it right from the bar. Then the only way that it will not show up as a new message on the message icon or be bold in the list, I have to click on it, open the message app, and then back out of it. Not that big of a PITA just kind of annoying when I already know the full message.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI need an e-mail application that sends all e-mails to my phone, but doesn't read them on the server (unless I actually read them).I have to check my parents e-mail on-the-go, so when I sync it to my phone, all the e-mails are recieved very well. However, right as the phone gets the e-mails, it reads them on the server without me even touching the e-mails (which gets very annoying to my parents). Is there anyway to make it so that when my phone pulls the e-mails that it doesn't read them on the server?I have the Samsung Moment, and the e-mail server is Yahoo. I've tried both K-9 and the default e-mail app, but niether have let me have this setting (as far as I'm aware).

I need to read that file data. How to read the data from the device? Is there any permission to read file from the phone memory.
My code is here:
intent = getIntent(); String str_sel_fname=intent.getDataString();
In the eclipse file explorer /data/data/com.android.email/databases/1.db_att/1
Here 1 is store the attachment file. Now How to get the data from that?
I keep getting messages in my hotmail in box saying that I have new mail when in fact I have already read the email. This seems to happen every time I delete mail when I go to hotmail on the web. For instance, I just deleted 1 email on the web then a few minutes later my phone is saying I have 7 unread messages from last week that I already read and kept on the phone.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi set up my yahoo account on my galaxy with 1.6 and everything is working perfectly, except that when i log in online, all my mail is marked as read.basically every time the phone goes and gets the new email is marks them as read on the server/webmail.I primarily check my mail online as opposed to the phone so this is a big problem. i've gone through the settings of both the default mail client as well as K9 and i cant find anything to change this behavior.i have yahoo mail plus and have also looked through the prefrences in my yahoo mail options.does anyone have an idea on how to use pop mail while keeping unread messages as unread on the server?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a viable (read good) e-mail program to replace the default one?
I've searched around a little but have not found any.
so just to clarify, this isn't another one of those "Why doesn't my message show as delivered?" threads. I already know it CAN be done, I found that out accidentally. It worked once, but I don't know how to make it work again. What I did when it worked: I sent my sister a message and then quickly switched over to iheartradio. Her message wasn't sending and the station was stuck at connecting, so I power cycled the phone. Then the message sent and to the right of it there's a green circle with a check mark. If I touch that, it says "Report" and then the receiver's name and "Status: Received." So,does this only work when there's an error to begin with or what?!

I tried holding down my lock button, nothing happened. I have nothing backed up, so it would be nice not to have to hard reset.
