I was going to contact the dev to see about a fix but it's not showing in the market anymore. I installed Battery Indicator just so I could put two side by side and show the difference. They both do the same exact thing so I'll just stay with the Indicator one.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm developing an app and i need to detect when the user shakes the phone from side to side , that means just along one axis (in this case X).I want to know when the user shakes the phone to the left and when to the right, the problem is that my code does not detect shaking but tilt, i have tested this code and it works when i tilt the phone to left or to the right, but not when a shake it from side to side (no matter the orientation of the phone).

View 8 Replies View Relatedi read the migration notes for 1.6 and I could not tell if 1.5 and 1.6 can co-exist side by side.i need to build applications for both 1.5 and 1.6, and i only have one build machine.other than changing my PATH variable, are there any other gotchas? especially for an automated build process which will need to build images for both platforms.also, i am a bit concerned about updating the ADT plugin. if I do that (update the ADT plugin), will that screw up my development on/for 1.5?

However, icons on the right side such as the battery, signal strength, wireless indicators do not need any entry on the status bar.

I'm looking for a way to put three ListViews side by side. Documentation specify that ListView "displays a scrolling single column list". As I'm a bit stubborn, I've done some tests but I only manage to display one ListView which fill all the screen even if I use "wrap_content" or if I put each ListView in a LinearLayout. The final goal is to connect these ListViews together, clicking on an item from the first will update the content of the second, and so on.Should I user ScrollView instead ? For those who will say that three ListViews won't fit in a mobile screen, I trying to make an application for a tablet :)
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have used link2sd to link all my apps to my sd card. But link2sd doesn't move the data, it only moves apk and cache and library files. I have asphalt 7 with a data of about 1 gb, and I can use Gl to sd to move the data.
But on Gl to sd download page it is said that it will interfere with other mount scripts and all that. My question : is it safe to use Gl to sd and link2sd side by side, or will it cause any problems???
I have just noticed over the last few days that when I change my battery and put my battery cover back on that the left side in the middle is slightly raised. I have made sure that I have pushed down enough but no good. I have even bought a new battery cover but still the same problem.

Whenever i hold it in a vertical position, you can here it click. You can actually see the batt cover move just a little bit. Is anyone else having this issue. I know that it is a small thing to complain abt, but that clicking is annoying.

It was never like this, but I took the cover off to remove the battery, and when I tried to put it back in, it wouldn't snap. I tried a different cover and it still didn't fit... I have no idea why it wont snap in all of a sudden. Anyone else have this? I'm on my fourth epic, If I have to go to #5 I might just say forget it and save my upgrade
View 3 Replies View RelatedStock battery indicator in the status bar was bugging me, since it was constantly showing more charge than all other battery apps (widgets, Spare Parts). After looking in
/system/framework/framework-res.apk/res/drawable/stat_sys_battery.xml
I could see that Samsung changed battery level thresholds compared to other Android releases (sources found on net). I have made a mod which changes the levels to the ones in the right column (source). Tested only on this 1.6 firmware: Baseband version I7500XXJB2, Build number Donut.XXJB6. Do not change /system/framework/framework-res.apk directly, the phone might not boot if it is not signed again after changing! Make all necessary backups!
You will need Metamorph to apply it, but since we have only 1.21 MB available on /system partition with this firmware, we will have to move Maps.apk to /data/app. The procedure (if you are not sure what each step does, do not proceed):
1. root the phone
2. copy busybox to /data/local/bin and give it execute permissions
3. install Metamorph from the Market
4. mount /system as RW (via "Root explorer", for example)
5. Run Metamorph. It will check for necessary files, and copy zip to /system/bin/zip. You can move it to /data/local/bin/zip to save some space on /system, and create symlink with this: ln -s /data/local/bin/zip /system/bin/zip
6. copy attached Galaxy-BatteryFix-v1.0.zip to /sdcard/AndroidThemes
7. move /system/app/Maps.apk to /data/app. It seems that Maps work fine from that location, after reboot.
8. apply theme from Metamorph
9. reboot
If you have problems with Metamorph and copying zip app, run this command:
ln -s /data/local/bin/busybox /system/bin/cp (after renaming /system/bin/cp to cp.old).
To restore the original, use Galaxy-BatteryFixRestore-v1.0.zip.
I recently had to do a factory reset and I lost all my apps. One of them was a text battery indicator that put a 1x1 icon on my screen that was transparent and just said "ninety percent" I can't find it at all in the market. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and remember the name?

I am working on porting a custom media player and need to be able to open a custom file and stream audio from it. This is important as I do not think porting the whole player to JAVA is feasible from a performance stand point and moving the audio buffers through the JNI interface I believe will be too slow to keep a decent frame rate. I can handle the video on the NDK side through OpenGL ES, but the Audio I have no idea how to make this happen.

I'm able to play AAC audio encoded as M4A when it's local to the app, but it fails when obtaining it from a server.
The following works, as the m4a file is held locally in the res/raw directory.

In it i have multiple horizontal layouts with FILL_PARENT width and WRAP_CONTENT height. In each of these horizontal layouts i want to put a checkbox on the left and an ImageButton on the right. The problem is i can't stop the checkbox from growing to the point of pushing the ImageButton out of view.. (same thing happens when the checkbox has FILL_PARENT or WRAP_CONTENT widths).
