HTC Incredible : LED Notification Work
May 1, 2010Does anyone's LED notification work? Mine and my wife's are set to on, but neither one of ours does anything. Anyone have the same problem?

HTC Incredible : Installed Handcent - Cant Get The Notification Sounds To Work
May 2, 2010I installed handcent and I cant get the notification sounds to work - I have checked the phone sound settings as well as the handcent notification settings and everything seems to be set right yet no sound for texts. It does vibrate when I have it on vibrate.

Sep 14, 2010So when I get texts, gmail, completed app downloads, etc I get notification icons at the top as usual. When I slide the notification bar down to reveal the nofications and click on an item, the notification screen doesn't hide back to the top of my phone -- it just stays open. I either have to hide it manually or I have to hit the back button, which sometimes exits the app I was trying to open. 2.1 never did this for me, it always hid when choosing an item. Anyone have a solution to this? I've done a factory reset after 2.2 btw. I've also searched support to see if there was a similar problem, no similar threads.

Jun 30, 2010I've factory reset my phone 3 times today for data problems and push email issues. Since the last time, I have a voicemail icon in my notification bar, clicking on it tells me to call my GV number to hear 3 messages. I cleared the messages in the GV app,but the notification wont go away. It has no Clear button to dismiss. I've rebooted the phone, tried calling the number, but have not yet tried throwing it against the wall. That's next. Any ideas to help calm my OCD by dismissing this notification are appreciated.Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk

Dec 24, 2009I have a strange problem here and spent too many hours figuring out what the problem might be. I definitely need your help here now... I'm pretty sure this is very easy to fix... if you know how... I develop a little free app for German O2 customers so that they can send their 50 free Web-SMS directly from their Android phone and not only via web interface like O2 wants them to. These SMS are sent in the background using a service. This service generates notifications (e.g. Message sent successfully, Login successful/failed,...)
When I click on that notification the app should open and then display the notification message. This works pretty fine as long as the app is visible (foreground/active). When putting the app into the background it's getting launched as well, but it doesn't display the message... then, when I hold down the HOME-Key and select the app... the message gets displayed..........................
HTC Hero :: Notification Sound And Vibrate Do Not Work
Jan 8, 2010Is anyone familiar with the following problem. When my Hero receives a new email, the flashball notifices me about it, but the notification sound and vibrate do not work even though I have them both checked in the settings (the sound is also selected). However, when I receive a new sms message, all of them work perfectly.

Sep 21, 2010I am on my third epic and still having the same problem. My notification light worked fine when the phone was first activated and slowly stopped working altogether. I also bought my girlfriend one and the same thing happened to hers. That's four phones in three weeks. I can't be the only one that is having this issue. Anyone else? My setting for the light to pulse is checked. I have also done a factory reset.

Jan 19, 2010I absolutely cannot get text message notification sounds to work. At all. It stays on the stock sound. I can change it to any of the preloaded stock sounds and click ok but when I get a text it still plays the stock sound. I also tried using custom and that didnt work either. I have searched and searched and found nothing. And I am using the proper folder structure on the sd card for the customs. Does anyone have any ideas at all? Im getting very frustrated.

Nov 12, 2010I have a count down timer that when it goes off (to zero) it checks to see if the app has focus. If not it launches a notification in the notification bar. When you click on the notification is re-opens the app. Now all of this works fine but if the screen happens to go off, the timer keeps going and the notification is available at the right time but never actually vibrates or rings until i turn the screen back on. Then it displays the notification like it was waiting in a queue or something.
How do I get it so that the notification manager will actually alert the user when the screen is turned off?
Update: If I set the timer for 2 minutes, it takes another 2-3 minutes for the notification to actually work. So it does work but it's on a huge delay! Code: So I setup the notification service when the app loses focus, and when the MyCount1 is finished is checks if the app has focus and if not it shows the notification. This all works when the screen backlight is on. Once it goes off it is unreliable.

HTC Incredible :: How Email Work On Incredible
Apr 17, 2010I am making the jump from a Palm Treo to the Incredible. Came very very close to getting the Droid and then a friend told me to hold out for the Incredible. From everything that I am reading I am really glad that I have waited. Anyway, I use AOL and gmail. How is it expected these email accounts will work with the Incredible? Will I get instant notification of a new email, will I have to set it up to check each account for a time frame I specify or will I manually have to open the email and check it? I know that this may be a basic question, however on my Palm I have to manually go into my email and download messages.

HTC Incredible :: 3d Games That Work On The Incredible
May 21, 2010Gameloft Gangstar: West Coast Hustle works well as a GTA clone. Menu is glitchy when driving but game works ok. Can run over pedestrians.
Gameloft Dungeon Hunter works well as a hack and slash dungeon game. This is the best working game right now.
Sandstorm however - nothing but grief. At least so far.
Tried Quake 1 on the phone but the controls are terrible and can't cheat so it sucked. Have not seen working doom or duke nukem ports.
HTC Incredible : Can't Get My MMS To Work
Oct 10, 2010For some reason I can't get my MMS to work. It's always been buggy, ie a message comes in and it won't download the first time and normally I have to go into the messaging app for it to work right. But yesterday I sent an MMS and my friend didn't get it. I tried again with another person and same thing. Then today another friend sent me an MMS and I can't open it in Handcent or Messaging. I'm rooted with Virtuous Rom.PS - Now the message just says downloading on Handcent and on the Messages app and I can't cancel it to retry. Just sits there forever.
