View 15 RepliesI am on my third epic and still having the same problem. My notification light worked fine when the phone was first activated and slowly stopped working altogether. I also bought my girlfriend one and the same thing happened to hers. That's four phones in three weeks. I can't be the only one that is having this issue. Anyone else? My setting for the light to pulse is checked. I have also done a factory reset.
View 11 Replies View RelatedIs there a notification light on the Droid X? If so, does anyone know how to get it to work? I have looked in all of the settings and I can not find where to turn the notification lights on and yes, it does appear to have a notification light, I just can't get it to work.
View 7 Replies View RelatedSo my little notification light up in the right corner keeps flashing after I get a call. The only way I've found to stop it is by restarting the phone. I was wondering if anyone else had a similar problem or knew of any possible ways to fix it.I was thinking it might have been a bug with the app Missed Call, but I've played with all the settings on there and it hasn't changed. I don't know what else could be causing it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor the last few weeks my notification light doesn't come on for anything except a low battery. I've seen from other posts here that it only comes on in sleep mode in 2.1, but mine doesn't even come on then. I downloaded LED Tester from the market and those aren't coming up either which has me worried. If this means a VZW swap, backup recommendations?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy light has stopped working. The LED isnt dead, cos I DL'd Missed Call from the Market, and it works with that app, but not when I get a text, tweet or FB invite/msg/event. It flashed green for: tweets and texts and Blue for FB notifications.
View 15 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden my notify light displays a constant blue light when the phone is put to sleep. I've uninstalled Chomp and I do not have any social networking apps installed nor do I have accounts synced to the phone. All messages on my phone have been read.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis has probably been asked before but I can't find anything in searches. Is there an app that allows you to customize the notification light on the X?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if anyone knows how to turn on the charging notification light on the DX? I can't seem to find anyway to get it to work.
View 9 Replies View Relatedif so, where is it, what colors does it flash, and is there a pattern for a type of notification (such as email, text, missed call, etc)?
View 5 Replies View RelatedHas anybody else ever been in an SMS (Google Voice), email, or IM conversation with somebody, with your phone continually beeping every 30 seconds when you get a new message? This happens to me a lot. The phone is sitting next to me on my desk, and each time it beeps, I pick it up, push the power button, swipe to unlock, swipe down the notifications bar, and then look to see what's new. After doing this about 30 times in an hour, I have to ask myself, is this really necessary on a modern smartphone? The dumbest dumbphone I know will light up when you get a new text. Now, I have searched high and low, and am I just stupid, or is there no setting or app available to turn the screen on for like 5 seconds and display new notifications as soon as they come in?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just switched from i Phone 4 to Droid X. Very exciting, since not only I have to learn how to use it but also I need to optimize the phone as well. (So much to do, I was bored with i Phone 4 ) So far battery life is not that great, drops 10 % every hour or 2 without heavy duty. (is this normal?) But yeah my question is every time I unlock the screen,(so when the screen wakes up) the notification light blinks with blue/red color. Is that normal? I checked Motorola, it wasn't on the manual.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI had no clue what it was until I checked the nav bar, and saw it was a facebook update. Wow, I thought, maybe they fixed the facebook app in the background without forcing me to update. Haven't seen the blue light since, and it has been 2 days and 7-9 notifications later.
Any idea when they will fix the facebook app? Or better yet, any idea how I got it to light up once randomly? It was somebody posting a comment on my wall post fyi (and the notifications still don't refresh in the app itself). Also, why can't I view linked youtube videos from other peoples comments? Obviously the droid can use youtube, so it seems odd that they wouldn't let you watch posted videos.
My green notification light has quit working. Any ideas?
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter the 2.1 update my notification light has stopped working. It no longer lights up for anything! Anyone else have this issue?
View 5 Replies View Relatedwhen the battery is at or below 10% this red light comes on for the notification. is there any way to make it stop? can't find it anywhere
View 11 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to modify how long the LED light will flash when you have an unread message or email? I found several programs in the market but they only seemed concerned with "changing" the color of the light (which does not work) and how fast the light will flash. But none of them had a setting to make the LED flash for say 4 hours after I receive a message unless I check it.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI just picked up an Eris after having the nearly identical Hero for about 3 weeks. On the Hero, there was a notification LED on the top of the phone. It blinked when I had new e-mail, texts, or voicemails. I see the Eris has a small LED light in the top right corner, but that seems to only light up when charging? Is that all that light does? Indicate when the phone is charging? I would think that would blink when notifications from SMS, calls or e-mail come in? Is it supposed to?
View 5 Replies View RelatedOne of the nice things I had with my BB was an app that allowed you to modify the length, frequency, and color of your LED light notifications for when you had missed calls, emails, etc. That way you didn't have to bring the screen alive to know if you didn't hear the audible notification. The LED on the EVO seems to be pretty short and sometimes infrequent. I seem to keep bringing the screen alive to find I have missed emails etc. but the LED wasn't flashing at all. Has anyone found a good App that does this?
View 9 Replies View RelatedDoes any one know how to set the notification light on the phone so it blinks when you have a missed call or text when the phone is charging? Cant seem to find this option, I find it weird Android doesn't have this option as default to begin with.
View 3 Replies View RelatedFor those (very very few of us) who have played with the Evo, can you tell me if there is an LED notification light on front?I am referring to when you get a new text message, or a missed call, so you dont have to turn on the screen.
View 43 Replies View RelatedWhen i set the LED light to blink it does not work.
View 5 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know how long your led light notification blinks for missed calls and text messages etc.I thought is was to blink until you checked the missed call or message.Mine is going off after 5 to 8 minutes without going into the phone and checking the missed call or text.Is this normal?
View 1 Replies View Relatedyesterday on the way home from a road trip I had my phone playing pandora while plugged into a car charger when the notification light started blinking back and fourth from green to orange, anyone have any idea what this is about?
Also I've got the low storage space notification, has the answer to that been decided as do a factory reset?
I have the android phone and have tried LED tester, blink, missed call and I think spare parts but nothing will change the LED color. Please help this is getting frustrating.
View 21 Replies View RelatedWhen I was using android api 5 (sdk 2.0) I was able to show light notification in the trackball of my nexus one: mNotificationManager.notify("my tag",0, notif); Now, I'm developping on android api 3 (sdk1.5) and this method is no more available so I use: mNotificationManager.notify(0, notif); But the light notification is not shown...........
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have read and watched many reviews on the Hero and I have yet to hear or read about a notification LED light. I know it sounds like something that isn't important, but to me it is.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI am looking for an app that uses the Button lights for notification purposes. (Stock 2.3.6 fw)I now there is one that uses the LED flash light, lcd backlight and Amoled but I only want .When looking with logcat I saw these lines:
PowerManagerService( 166): setLightBrightness : mButtonLight : 102
PowerManagerService( 166): setLightBrightness : mButtonLight : 0
Is it possible to use them for notification purposes? Is it already done? But I cannot get them off again. Can the PowerMangerService be used to do that in 2.3.6?
i just bought my new galaxy w.when i get a text or other notification from the facebook or twitter the LED didn't light up.
View 3 Replies View RelatedJust have a new htc desire on orange.I can't believe it doesn't even have the option to use the LED light when using the videocam. This is such a great feature when you are out in a bar, pub, or club or just outside at night. I have an old sony and nokia and they both have the feature and I have loads of great vids because of it.I have spent hours searching for apps that might make the LED light next to the camera work but there doesn't seem to be one. This means if you are using the phone as a light you have to use the screen like a numpty and not the powerful led. Should have gone for the xperia as my friend has it and it has this feature.
