I just rooted my phone and wiped the Memory, i need help finding a good reliable ROM and installing it. Any help would be appreciated. I'm not going to restore my phone contacts and im also having trouble finding the Nandroid option.

I rooted and installed ROM manager. went to install virtous custom kernal. I wiped all data.now, my phone is fresh again and all apps (inc titanium back, rom manager) are gone.now what? do I need to install titanium backup again and backup again? what do I do to actually install the rm?
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust rooted my 2.2 Incredible tonight using Unrevoked3 on my Macbook. Everything was fine. I had RomManager and wanted to get Cyanogen, but I wanted to back up my apps first just in case. So I ran Titanium Backup. I wasn't sure how to do it, so I went to Menu>More>Create "update.zip". The phone started doing something, then it said it failed to create update and then the phone went dead. Tried powering back on, got to HTC Incredible screen, then screen went black and phone did 5 quick vibrations back to back and the green "new message" indicator light started blinking like I had a new email or something.
Tried powering back on, but nothing happened. Pulled battery, put it back, still nothing. Had to pull battery, plug phone into computer, put battery back in and then it powered on. Tried a Reboot, but that didn't do anything. Tried re-running unrevoked3, but it won't do anything because now my phone can't find any SD card or internal memory. Both are just grayed out. So even though my phone has 8gig internal and an 8gig external SD card in it, it's not showing either. I can't load a new ROM because it needs the SD card. I put the SD card into my computer and it shows all of my stuff on there, so the card isn't corrupted.
Every time I download a app it installs in phone memory and not internal memory.Where is the settings for this? I am switching over from windows mobile phone to my new incredible

View 4 Replies View RelatedI loaded a wallpaper into the DCIM folder on the internal memory and after disconnecting from the computer, I changed the home screen wallpaper to this picture. (the one of the predator and alien playing chess).Now all 7 home screens are completely blank. No widgets or icons. Somehow everything on the home screens has been wiped. I removed the picture from the internal memory folder.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy "phone contacts" have simply been wiped out all of a sudden. My Google, SIM and Facebook contacts are there but all 97 of my phone contacts are simply gone! It now shows phone (0). I thought I could sync back from Google but it appears all along they weren't even being synced even though my Google contacts sync was turned on, so I'm still left with nothing.This is one of the most frustrating and ridiculous problems I've ever encountered on any phone. I rely almost entirely on my phone contacts, and I sure as hell do not want to start copying from my SIM all over again because I'd have to filter out so many unused contacts.

could the old database file have been orphaned or has my phone a galaxy note moved the file location of the sms database file ? or can i revert back to an old version ?

View 26 Replies View RelatedWell since I've got into installing custom ROMs its nice, but I hate wiping data/cache. I've gone from Nexbeast 1.1 to Nexfro .4 without a wipe. No complaints but when I drop my phone it immediately reboots. When I open it and click stuff to fast it will reboot and sometimes for no reason at all. Is this because of me not wiping data or just sucky phone? Using stock kernel. When going to CM6 should I wipe data?

Has anyone else received this alert? I deleted a few apps I hardly use or tested and didn't like and the notification went away. Is this a glitch that's been talked about before and perhaps will be rectified on froyo?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI used the Clockwork, un-revoke tool which is suppose to root your phone. My intention was not to root my phone but to run recovery. I wanted to downgrade so I went thru the motion and it said everything was done/successful. Now, I don't want to be rooted. I am thinking of exchanging my phone for the Droid X.
I went into the terminal and did some root things but they were unsuccessful like "whoami", tried to unmount file system,etc. I am running "sudo <whatever command>" and "su" so it fails. I assume I'm not rooted but why would unrevoke app say I am? I am struggling to downgrade using Linux (different topic) but for now, I want to confirm my phone is not rooted.
Is there anyway to use Apps2SD on a rooted incredible yet? Not running any ROMs and I can't for the life of me find any info on it. Been on Google for an hour.

I already bought a 8gig card. Should I return it? Will the 2gig be enough plus the phone memory? I know I'm being a little cheap but the extra cash wouldn't hurt.

View 1 Replies View RelatedNot sure if this is because of the ROM I'm using or because I'm rooted, but I can't do a factory reset on my phone. If I try it, the phone reboots and locks into a boot loop. I can pull the battery, but then it boot loops again. I've basically got to boot into recovery mode and reflash a usable ROM or backup to get the phone working again. Is this because I'm rooted or is this because of the ROM I'm using (Skyraider)?

About a week ago i rooted my kindle fire with the teamwin twrp and flashed the eyecandy ROM. now when i wanted to add something that was 800 MB to my kindle (a game), it says all of my memory is taken up. i have 1 GB of songs and 1 GB of backups. What is taking up all of my memory and how can i remove it?
PS I only have 5 GB available and 4.5 are taken up
