HTC Incredible :: Can't Setup POP Account Through Setup Screen
Nov 8, 2010I was able to successfully setup a POP account through the Setup Screen...in fact when I go back through Setup, I still see the account. The problem is I can't DO anything with it in setup (including deleting it to start over) and it doesn't show up in my Apps window with an icon! I see it on the setup screen labeled "Setup Accounts" but no matter if I tap it or hold it or swipe it or try to hit the menu key, it just sits there. There is a green button with the checkmark in it. I guess what I would think i ought to be able to do is to assign it an icon (or even get a generic one) and find the account listed on my app screen...I'm willing to reset it, but I can't even delete it to start!

My one question is i seen the post hat say the resolution or size is 960wx800h but is that just for the main screen and that will scroll to all 7 pages what i was wondering if not, what does the width of a picture have to be to scroll the total of the 7 pages, like i have a long width wise wallpaper and wanted to make it expand to a diff image on each page. sorry for the trouble and if the 960 already covered that,

Sep 22, 2010I'm afraid to bring this up as I suspect I might be headed for a replacement phone,For the last week or so, I've noticed my phone seems to be scrolling to the left automatically.The home screen will scroll as well as if I'm in the market for example and trying to enter a search term, the blinking cursor will move to the left. It's more of an annoyance than anything else.The phone still works great, but I'm worried that it might turn into something bigger.

Aug 30, 2010I want to set up a table layout that scrolls like a spreadsheet. The top row of column headings should scroll horizontally but be pinned when scrolling vertically. The left-most column of row labels should scroll vertically but be pinned when scrolling horizontally. The number of rows and columns is not known in advance. Does anyone know of an example of this? Are there settings in TableLayout that can turn on this scroll behavior? Is there, perhaps, a more advanced widget than TableLayout that can produce this type of scrolling? Are there some tricks I can do with a ScrollView to get this behavior?

Apr 29, 2010does anyone notice that there small dots on the front of the screen when you hold in the sunlight and looks like a matte pattern it covers the whole screen. U can only see it when u tilt it up towards the light... anyone else seeing this? It may just be the oled screen not sure tho

It looks like the memory for the application was exhausted .The bluetooth settings page uses BluetoothDevicePreference to handle onBindView() api for showing the the icon and name of the searched bluetooth devices , now while scrolling the searched device page every time the getView of the preference is getting called and that is eventually calling the onBindView() api to show the icon and device name on the screen.
So can anyone suggest me how should I handle this kind of out of memory issue?

Dec 27, 2009Has anyone else noticed some type of faint scrolling lines on their screens. I notice it more when on lighter backgrounds, like the blue ink splash. Both my behold II and a friends has the same thing. Is this a property of OLED screens, some type of refresh? They are horizontal lines and dont always cover the whole screen.I really read how awesome an OLED screen was supposed to be, but eh I think the Iphone screen is still nicer. Any thoughts on these lines, I doubt this is limited to two phones.

I hold the phone in my right hand and tend to use my right thumb for scrolling, selecting on the screen and pushing the buttons at the bottom. I have developed a persistent stabbing pain over the nobly bit on the right side of my wrist which gets worse after I have been using the phone for a while. Jun 14, 2010I have a long scrolling list of EditText items created by a SimpleCursorAdapter and prepopulated with values from an SQLite database. I make this by: cursor = db.rawQuery("SELECT _id, criterion, localweight, globalweight FROM " + dbTableName + " ORDER BY criterion", null); startManagingCursor(cursor); mAdapter = new SimpleCursorAdapter(this, R.layout.weight_edit_items, cursor, new String[]{"criterion","localweight","globalweight"}, new int[]{R.id.criterion_edit, R.id.localweight_edit, R.id.globalweight_edit}); is.setListAdapter(mAdapter); The scrolling list is several emulator screens long. The items display OK - scrolling through them shows that each has the correct value from the database. I can make an edit change to any of the EditTexts and the new text is accepted and displayed in the box. if I then scroll the list far enough to take the edited item off the screen, when I scroll back to look at it again its value has returned to what it was before I made the changes, ie. my edits have been lost. In trying to sort this out, I've done a getText to look at what's in the EditText after I've done my edits (and before a scroll) and getText returns the original text, even though the EditText is displaying my new text. It seems that the EditText has only accepted my edits superficially and they haven't been bound to the EditText, meaning they get dropped when scrolled off the screen. Can anyone please tell me what's going on here and what I need to do to force the EditText to retain its edits?

May 3, 2010I downloaded a battery life app today and after I did that a tiny command prompt looking thing appeared in the top right corner of my Incredible. Everytime I do an action, a line of code appears. For example, on my main page it says stuff like
system_server
m.android.phone
And other random code lines like that. Its in a tiny text in the top right of the touch screen. Is there any way to get rid of this? I tried to uninstall the battery app that seemed to cause it, but the prompt didn't go away with it.
HTC Incredible :: Screens Scrolling By Themself / Why Is This Happening?
Aug 16, 2010So I go to use my phone to pull up an app and hit the home screen and it starts scrolling between 3 or 4 different screens without me even touching the phone. It did it for about 10 seconds then stopped, then started doing it again, all the while I haven't touched the phone.
So I thought maybe it was a rogue app I installed so I got to delete the last few I installed and when I hit the uninstall button it is highlighted green like I am pressing it, but I got it to uninstall. Then when I go to hit the 'OK' button after the install it wouldn't let me because the button was highlighted green.
Strange I thought.
Is this a software issue, a rogue app issue, or what?
Samsung Vibrant :: Freezing Bloatware Make Home Screen Scrolling Smoother
Oct 21, 2010Rooted my replacement Vibrant but didn't wanna remove the bloatware right away in case future froyo required it. So, I tried just freezing the apps with Titanium. This makes sure they never start up when you turn your phone on and they are removed from the app drawer. You just unfreeze them whenever you want. Anyway, it makes the app drawer/homescreen scrolling a lot smoother.

Sep 7, 2010Ever since I upgraded to 2.2 with Flash 10.1 I have been unable to jump ahead in flash videos on the web. Whenever I click the scrollbar for the video, it just pauses the playback. Even when I fullscreen it and play it without anything else on the screen, I have the same problem. It seems to treat the entire flash player as one object rather than different objects within the player. Anyone else having issues fast forwarding flash video? It worked no problem with Flash-lite on 2.1.
