After the last Handcent update, my contact pictures are no longer showing up in text messages. Is anyone else having this problem and is there a fix for it? Rooted, Using Second Wave ROM, 2.15 radio

I've got and Xperica Arc S and recently upgraded to ICS (official update) and everything's great, except for one thing. The contact photos in Handcent SMS are gone. I've been looking at the contacts list and the photos appear in every single contact there, but not in Handcent.
What I've realized is that in Handcent SMS now only appear the photos of the contacts which have a photo on their gmail account, whereas in Gingerbread it would show the photo of every contact that had any photo associated with it (Facebook, custom, another account, etc..)
I would really like to see the photos in Handcent and this is really bugging me!
For some reason, when I get a call and the picture of the contact shows up (mainly FB photos), it's all blurry. Anyone know why, or how to fix this?

View 16 Replies View RelatedOut of about 900 contacts, only 30 are personal with photos. Is there an app or widget that would allow me to see contacts without a photo placeholder? One of the widgets I love is the favorites people widget, but I can't stand that it has photo placeholders. Of my 800+ business contacts, none have photos so I'm staring at a page of grey faceless dudes.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I have a good amount of contacts in my phone and never do I have a problem with responding to texts even if the person isn't in my phone book. I have one contact that for whatever reason I can't respond to with Handcent. When she texts me I reply normally and it says there's no contact, so I have to go into the stock program and talk to her thru it. Has anyone else experienced this before? honestly if it was someone I talked to regularly I would have to go back to stock but I rarely talk to this person but when I do it's kind of annoying, and I forget and start using handcent so I always have to cut and paste things.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter one of the recent handcent updates, I entered a number to send a text message. This number was not in my contacts. I entered the number, and it changed the number at the top to a persons name, who isn't in my contacts, and does not have the same number. They are my friend on facebook however. Is handcent linking with facebook? How do I turn this off? It's telling me this conversation is with the wrong person as of now, and I don't know if it's even sending to the right number.
View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently received my Incredible (FINALLY!). I synced my contacts from my old phone (Omnia i910) with google so I could download them onto the Inc. When I did, I also synced up some contacts with Facebook. But, it looks like several of the contact pics are blurry / pixelated. Some of them are the Facebook ones, while others are the Google synced ones. Anyone know how to fix this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have all of my contacts stored as (xxx) xxx-xxxx. When I am within my own area code, I have always only dialed the last seven digits (no area code). When I do this, my Incredible doesn't recognize it as a stored contact.
I've tried storing it in different ways, xxx-xxx-xxxx, xxxxxxxxx, etc, but I do not seem to be able to make it hapen.
From what I've read, one solution is to dial the area code everytime, but who wants to do that in a local setting? Very annoying every smartphone I've ever had prior to this was able to interpret the last seven as the contact when the phone is in the default area code (and yes, mine is set to my area code).
Anyone else have this issue or know a fix? Contact pictures show in contact details and in the contacts app, but not in the dial or when I get a call. Contact management is the only thing I don't like about my X.

Anyways. Just got a Moto Droid. Downloaded Handcent SMS. It's great. However the ONE thing I can't figure out, is why do SOME of my contacts have their Facebook pictures, and others don't? I have "synched" with Facebook multiple times. The contacts I have saved have the exact same names as their Facebook profiles, so it should pop up, right?
Im still trying to fine tune my camera on mine to find a good setting, seems like some come out great and some come out like crap.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung S4. I recently created new folders to organize my vacation photos. 2 folders do not show up on my phone but I can see them all when I plug the usb into the PC and view them there,
Why I can't view / find them on my phone?
The rest of the folders show up, just not these two. One previously showed up on my phone and I was able to view it just fine but then I renamed it and now I can't see it anymore. I don't believe it was hidden and I even did a reboot but still these folders no longer show up. I can only access them if I plug in the usb cable to the pc and view from there.
I have downloaded the new updated version (complete with adverts)of Handcent to try it out as I hearing such glowing comments on it. When I open the programme I see all the threads but all I have is the mobile numbers and No Contact names associated with them.
Could someone kindly tell me what I have to do to get the names up please. I have been looking through the settings but cant see anything, do I need to make sure the stock messaging app is unticked first to get the names to appear?
I'm having a problem with getting Facebook photos to upload to my wall. Instead they're just showing up in the Mobile Uploads section, without ever appearing in the news feed. I've searched everywhere online and found a few people with the same problem, but no solutions.
What's odd is I didn't have this problem when I tried the same thing yesterday. Yesterday was the first time I'd directly uploaded a photo from my phone to Facebook, though I've had my Droid for months. (Yeah, I'm a little slow with some of this stuff). I used the method of going to the Gallery, choosing my photo and then selecting Menu > Share > Facebook. I added a caption, and the photo & caption showed up on myFacebook wall, just the way I wanted.
Today I tried the same method for a new photo, and it didn't show up on my wall at all, just went straight to Mobile Uploads. As far as I can figure, I did everything exactly the same as I did it yesterday, but maybe I'm missing something. Can anyone think of a step I might have missed, or does anyone know a way to fix this?
Strange thing has happened since the upgrade. I added the people widget to a screen in the large (9x9) style. The group I choose all have photos for each contact. If I view them in the people group listing, all the photos show next to the name. If I view the individual contacts the photos are there.
But only half the photos show in the widget view - anyone know what's going on? I can't work out what the difference could be between the contacts, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it.
How do I get google+ photos to show a folder from drive that has previously been hidden from g+?
I have g+ notifications set for certain things but am receiving a notification from the g+ app and also an email.
I have been having issues for about 6 months with my google+ photos not showing in my gallery on my GS3 (d2att) (SGH-I747). Typically, they will show up once you have logged into your respective Gmail account and selected sync photos in the settings. This was the case for me a while back, then they just went away.
I have tried CyanogenMod Nightlies, Stable builds, Paranoid Android, JellyBam versions 8.0 - 9.2 (The Albums showed up randomly in one version of JellyBam but I don't recall which one) and have had no success with any of them. I always make sure that I have the correct version of GAPPS installed with them and have done everything I can think to do: Factory wipe/reset, dalvik wipe, cache wipe, formatted system, data, cache, even the internal sd card with no luck.
I ended up flashing all the way back to stock unrooted via Odin, then rooted and reflashed new versions of CM, Paranoid and Jellybam. The albums show up in the stock ROM just fine but not on any of the other ROMs I've used.
I take WAY too many pics to keep them all on my memory card and phone. I like to dump them all into G+ albums and just access them that way if I need to see them. I bought the picasa app but I'm not a fan bc it's not fluid like the gallery app. How can I get these to come back in a custom ROM? I really can't handle stock ROMs at all.
Well at the moment I'm trying to set the contact photo in a custom view to the RemoteView of my custom expaneded statur bar.Well now I got the problem that I don't have a static ImageViewResource and the method "loadContactPhoto(...)" just delivers a Bitmap which I can't set to the RemoteView.Now my question. Is there a possibility to get the Uri to the contact photo of a specific contact? Or how could I reach the above mentioned behaviour?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI believe I have "stumbled" onto a possible solution to compressed/panelized contact images. I have owned the Hero, Droid and now the EVO. I have tried everything imaginable through exchange and gmail accounts by sending, receiving and downloading images to contacts with no luck....until today!!
I first start with an email with a photo attached from a computer and sent to my gmail account on my EVO. I click the download button the image downloads and then the image comes up on the screen after it completes the fetch of the attachment. Now with that image on the screen click the phone's menu button to share this image via text message as a mms to yourself. I use the Handcent app from the Market and when that image is RECEIVED press and hold on the image to copy it to the SD card. Now you should be able to see two thumbnails of this image in the gallery and the RECEIVED mms image that was saved to the SD card will be noticeably sharper. The lower res one is the first one from the first download from the gmail email. Your mms should show two images the one you SENT and the one you RECEIVED. You need to use the RECEIVED image. For some reason this one is not affected and compressed. The SENT image can not be used, I tried that. It is the RECEIVED mms.*
Then in contacts choose the person you want, click the edit button, tap the square where the image shows in contacts, choose gallery and pick the sharper of the two that were saved. It has worked for me on the EVO today and my daughter's Hero. I have not tried this on the Droid yet. Multiple test calls show a nice, sharp contact image!
Hope someone can help me out with this one.I can't seem to get Handcent to display contact pictures. it did show the ones with Facebook contacts, but I rebooted my Hero, and selected 'fix uid mismatches' which I read would fix this, and now it doesn't show any pictures.
