How do I get google+ photos to show a folder from drive that has previously been hidden from g+?
I have g+ notifications set for certain things but am receiving a notification from the g+ app and also an email.

Google photos doesn't seem to display all my photos from drive. some are missing and it doesn't show screenshots either.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Nexus 4 and Nexus 7.I am trying to sync all my Google Drive photos with my Google + account. In Google + I have checked the box to allow Google Drive to sync with Google Drive. Most of the pictures show up in Google + without a problem. Some however, do not. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to this either. All of my photo folders. It doesn't seem to be related to one format or another. (Ex. One JPG file is there and another isn't)

View 3 Replies View RelatedIf auto backup is enabled in Photos, any images I download are also backed up. This happens regardless of whether 'back up local folders' is on or off, and even if I've explicitly disabled uploads for the Downloads folder!
I only want to backup photos I take, not all the junk I download. It's clearly broken.
I have been having issues for about 6 months with my google+ photos not showing in my gallery on my GS3 (d2att) (SGH-I747). Typically, they will show up once you have logged into your respective Gmail account and selected sync photos in the settings. This was the case for me a while back, then they just went away.
I have tried CyanogenMod Nightlies, Stable builds, Paranoid Android, JellyBam versions 8.0 - 9.2 (The Albums showed up randomly in one version of JellyBam but I don't recall which one) and have had no success with any of them. I always make sure that I have the correct version of GAPPS installed with them and have done everything I can think to do: Factory wipe/reset, dalvik wipe, cache wipe, formatted system, data, cache, even the internal sd card with no luck.
I ended up flashing all the way back to stock unrooted via Odin, then rooted and reflashed new versions of CM, Paranoid and Jellybam. The albums show up in the stock ROM just fine but not on any of the other ROMs I've used.
I take WAY too many pics to keep them all on my memory card and phone. I like to dump them all into G+ albums and just access them that way if I need to see them. I bought the picasa app but I'm not a fan bc it's not fluid like the gallery app. How can I get these to come back in a custom ROM? I really can't handle stock ROMs at all.
I just mounted my Evo as a disk drive so I could backup some of my older photos and then delete them from the SD card to free up space. Well I deleted over 1gb of media files and when I unmounted the SD card it still showed the same amount of free space as before.I opened up Astro File Manager to see if I could find the problem and the files were deleted from the various folders but when I clicked the menu button and selected Tools, I went to view the SD card usage and noticed a folder labeled .Trashes which contained the 1+gb of files that I deleted from the card.The problem is, I am unable to clear the .Trashes folder and free up that extre 1gb of space that I should have...Is there something I am doing wrong? How do I get that extra space back because there is no option to delete or clear the .Trashes folder and when the phone is mounted as a disk drive there is no path to that specific (.Trashes) folder.
View 4 Replies View Relatedjust trying out Google Play Music today. I'm confused though as I have around 10000 music files sitting in a folder on Google drive. I can't see an option to ask Google Play Music to look into Google Drive and upload the music from there. I have connected my Google play music app on my nexus 7 to my Google account' but nothing seems to happen. Surely Google is able to connect two parts of its cloud together and I don't have to re upload everything?

I have a program that will un-delete the photos however the Note 2 does not show up in windows 7 as a specific drive, only a media player or camera. Is there any possible way to un-delete these photos with any known software. I was able to do this before without an issue with CardRecovery 6.0 but now it will not detect the Note 2 since it is not showing as a drive.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo the wife and I have our own google accounts on our androids but I would like to set up a shared google account mainly for photos.So in my case, my phone would have me@gmail setup on the device and I add shared@gmail.
I would like the shared@gmail account to handle photos uploading, so I would disable auto-upload and google photos sync on me@gmail and enable them on shared@gmail (but nothing else synced on that account).
1. Would the phone then act as it would normally without me worrying about the other account? So would gmail, google play, google+ etc automatically default to my main account and such without me having to choose accounts every time I do anything?
2. Would the photos albums synced with the shared account (but not on the main account) still show in the gallery/google+ photos apps?
3. If I wanted to manually share a photo from my camera, how would I ensure that photo went to the shared@gmail account?
I have bought a new MOTO G, which got upgraded to KITKAT 4.4.2 version. Now when I try sending photo from Whats-app, by choosing
1) Attach Item
2) Choosing Gallery
3) Selecting Photo
4) Clicking Send
Nothing happens after this action. However, if I directly go to the directory, and use Whats-app as the Sharing Option the photos are shared.

Well, I figured that I might as well get a brand new moto X during the firesale (bamboo backed BTW) to test drive and I may be over thinking it, but um... Do I save my images to photos or gallery? They both sense, but why are there 2 options?

Photos are uploaded 100% complete but when i go onto Google Photos, the photos are chopped, only top 80-90% are there, the rest is filled with a grey border.

These are my own shots taken with a DSLR, they are printed and hanging and I used my Captivate to photograph them off the wall. The first one I instantly re-tagged because I didn't realize the exact name of what I photographed. Have Nexus 5. I have downloaded a few restaurant menus from Web site's. They are in PDF format. I selected Downloads from the app drawer, looked at them then tried to delete them. I can't find any option to delete. When I select help I get Quickoffice help telling me to press the Trash can Icon. There is no trash can Icon on the screen.

Is there any camera app that can write photos and videos to the SD card? It seems like a waste of an SD card if I can't have my photo's and videos go directly to the card.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I go to change or assign a contact photo, I'm prompted like always to crop the photo I've selected. Once the crop is made and I hit done, an error message at the bottom is posted. "Edited photo can't be saved" and the photo is not assigned. This is something new that has just developed recently and seems to be specific to 4.4.2 on my 2 different Nexus devices.The only work around is to change the photo through gmail on my PC.

I mean, i simply wanted to put the photos in one folder, name this folder, and voilaaa. but no way. I used the defaut "photo" app that came with kitkat, (i disabled the "gallery" app, given it makes no point to have two apps that do the same in one place).
the only solution i found is then to backup my photos on G+, put them in one folder there, and only now in "photos" i can see them as an album...
I use Astro file manager and cannot figure out if this is possible.....I have some photos in an album. I would like to be able to take some photos, put them in a folder and put that folder on my home screen. Is this possible?

Having got to the bottom of how to set up folders for photos, what would be very useful would be to be able to choose which folder photos get put in as they are taken, rather than having to tinker about with a file management program later on (none of which seem to use thumbnails anyway). Am I right in thinking that there is no way to choose a folder from the inbuilt camera? Is there any other camera app that would let me do this?

I use a lot of different photo apps and they seem to store things in lots of different places (some in DCIM, some in Pictures folder, some in their own folders, etc.). I know how use a file manager to move things around, but what I would really like is this:
Set up a picture folder (or just use the one that is already there). Inside that, set up folders for each of the apps I use (or no folders at all, just ALL the pictures). Then have pictures go into the correct folder as they are taken (not manually).
I have a rooted LG G2 but not any custom ROMs.
I'm not getting any notifications (eg. email, facebook, whatsapp, ... ) unless the app is currently active. I opened whatsapp and immediately got the notification for a five hour old message.
This applies to other apps as well.
Is there any way I can make the notifications pop up even if the app is not running?
I'm using a Nexus 4 with Android 4.4.2
I am trying to sync a text file as a note between my Android and Mac using Google Drive,the Mac part is easy because I can edit the file ok from anywhere but how can I use the file on Android without opening Google Drive.because I am using a notepad widget on Android.

I got the photos to show up but they are not in any folder, the just show up in gallery-> camera as loose photos?
