Out of about 900 contacts, only 30 are personal with photos. Is there an app or widget that would allow me to see contacts without a photo placeholder? One of the widgets I love is the favorites people widget, but I can't stand that it has photo placeholders. Of my 800+ business contacts, none have photos so I'm staring at a page of grey faceless dudes.

Strange thing has happened since the upgrade. I added the people widget to a screen in the large (9x9) style. The group I choose all have photos for each contact. If I view them in the people group listing, all the photos show next to the name. If I view the individual contacts the photos are there.
But only half the photos show in the widget view - anyone know what's going on? I can't work out what the difference could be between the contacts, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it.
Does anyone know why the photos assigned to my contacts show up blurry?

Not the all of my 400 some odd facebook friends. In the People app, I simply unchecked Facebook from the Menu>View screen to unclutter my contact list.

I use my Dinc a lot in the car for hours at a time using GPS, Pandora and maybe other apps. Running all of them can really heat up the phone so I like to keep an eye on it. Do I really need to change all my phone numbers to have area codes in them? When people call, for example, it shows 619-423-5666 instead of "Work" which is saved as 423-5666. Do I really have to change every one of them and start saving numbers w/ zip code?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung S4. I recently created new folders to organize my vacation photos. 2 folders do not show up on my phone but I can see them all when I plug the usb into the PC and view them there,
Why I can't view / find them on my phone?
The rest of the folders show up, just not these two. One previously showed up on my phone and I was able to view it just fine but then I renamed it and now I can't see it anymore. I don't believe it was hidden and I even did a reboot but still these folders no longer show up. I can only access them if I plug in the usb cable to the pc and view from there.
I'm having a problem with getting Facebook photos to upload to my wall. Instead they're just showing up in the Mobile Uploads section, without ever appearing in the news feed. I've searched everywhere online and found a few people with the same problem, but no solutions.
What's odd is I didn't have this problem when I tried the same thing yesterday. Yesterday was the first time I'd directly uploaded a photo from my phone to Facebook, though I've had my Droid for months. (Yeah, I'm a little slow with some of this stuff). I used the method of going to the Gallery, choosing my photo and then selecting Menu > Share > Facebook. I added a caption, and the photo & caption showed up on myFacebook wall, just the way I wanted.
Today I tried the same method for a new photo, and it didn't show up on my wall at all, just went straight to Mobile Uploads. As far as I can figure, I did everything exactly the same as I did it yesterday, but maybe I'm missing something. Can anyone think of a step I might have missed, or does anyone know a way to fix this?
How do I get google+ photos to show a folder from drive that has previously been hidden from g+?
I have g+ notifications set for certain things but am receiving a notification from the g+ app and also an email.
I have been having issues for about 6 months with my google+ photos not showing in my gallery on my GS3 (d2att) (SGH-I747). Typically, they will show up once you have logged into your respective Gmail account and selected sync photos in the settings. This was the case for me a while back, then they just went away.
I have tried CyanogenMod Nightlies, Stable builds, Paranoid Android, JellyBam versions 8.0 - 9.2 (The Albums showed up randomly in one version of JellyBam but I don't recall which one) and have had no success with any of them. I always make sure that I have the correct version of GAPPS installed with them and have done everything I can think to do: Factory wipe/reset, dalvik wipe, cache wipe, formatted system, data, cache, even the internal sd card with no luck.
I ended up flashing all the way back to stock unrooted via Odin, then rooted and reflashed new versions of CM, Paranoid and Jellybam. The albums show up in the stock ROM just fine but not on any of the other ROMs I've used.
I take WAY too many pics to keep them all on my memory card and phone. I like to dump them all into G+ albums and just access them that way if I need to see them. I bought the picasa app but I'm not a fan bc it's not fluid like the gallery app. How can I get these to come back in a custom ROM? I really can't handle stock ROMs at all.
I want to link all of my facebook contacts so they show up in my gmail contacts? Otherwise, the contact on my phone from Facebook may be, and in many cases is, missing lots of relevant information. For example, many people don't keep their full address, or their phone number, on Facebook. If this is so, then no phone number or address is stored on my phone for the many friends who got in my contact list via the Facebook Motoblur magic. I can update these manually, via the phone screen-keyboard, but I would like to use the much easier-to-access PC to gmail user interface. But alas, I cannot, as all of these Facebook contacts don't show up on the gmail list at all.

View 7 Replies View RelatedSince I updated to Froyo when the official one was released for the UK my Gallery has been almost useless, it now sorts photos based on where they were taken which I don't want and it doesn't show any new photos/videos I take, possibly because the phone saves them to the external SD card now instead of the internal one. Is there anyway to fix this? I've looked everywhere for some gallery settings but I can't find anything, to change the sorting etc.. Or can anyone recommend a half decent gallery app? I just want something that shows the recent photos I've taken...
View 2 Replies View Relatedall my contacts are google contacts with several linked to Facebook accounts.When I access my contacts through the People widget, all's good, I only see the google contacts (I've deselected Facebookers in the view menu). However when I access the Messages widget all my contacts are doubled up for some reason. I realise this list is also showing facebook contacts as well as google contacts but even the non-facebook contacts are doubled up.

In call history, I clicked the little file picture and added their name, saved it as a google contact, and saved it. If I go to People, the name doesnt appear. So I went to the People app, entered their info, made it a google contact, saved. Still didnt work. Even manually synced my google account. So then I changed the "view" to show every option and slowly ticked off each box til I realized that only if "show auto gmail contacts" is ON does my new contact appear. It was also "linked" to 3 other contacts (the same one that I kept adding over and over wondering why it wasnt appearing). So, of course I do NOT want everyone I've ever e-mailed in my contact list, so the question is, how can I add/save any contacts and make them appear in People?

I'm seeing strange photos in this widget when I click on the weather part of the widget, and then select the white helmet-looking icon that pops up second from the left. A sequence of about five photos pop up. They appear to be photos taken from the road in and around the city I traveled to today. One photo has today's date time-stamped on it...I'm not taking any photos today so not sure why they would appear.
I'm sure there is a simple explanation, I just can't figure out what the photos are supposed to be and why they pop up from within this widget.
I'd like to delete all the photos on my phone to make the space available, but NOT my contacts. Formatting the disk will delete everything won't it? So what should I do?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI followed the tutorial off code.google.com to add widgets to your app. For some reason, when I run the app on the phone for testing, then long click the home screen to add widgets, my widget is not an option. I imagine I am doing something wrong, but I thought I followed the tutorial pretty well. Here is some of my code, please offer a suggestion of why I can't add my widget. BTW i don't care that it doesn't do anything yet, or even if it breaks, I just want to see it as an option first (small steps). Thanks for any help or feedback.
