I just want to simply forward a text message to an email address (preferably using my default gmail account). How can I do this? I've tried with both the default messaging app and handcent. Both have a forward feature, but it only works to forward to another phone #. I found a few apps that claim to automatically forward incoming texts to an email but that isn't what I want either.

My Xperia now 8 days old. Its an upgrade from 3. Its proving to be the worse phone I have ever had!! The battery life is terrible, fully charged yet went off half way through my shift? What I am have been having major problems with and cant figure it out for the life of me is how to forward a text and delete a draft message? I just cant figure it out! Forward a message? how do I access the names or the phonebook? theres always only the contact that sent me the text in the first place or one i use frequently. and i have a draft i cant get rid of unless i send the **** thing. this phone is so frustrating to me because texting and facebook are my main objectives when purchasing a phone. facebook: when i tap on notifications it tells me constantly there is an error. now i told the salesman in the shop what the main uses of my mobile are and so far I am extremely disappointed with this mobile phone, i have been mis-sold! Can someone please put me out my misery so I can appreciate this little phone a bit more!

Simply put, I was wondering if an app existed that when a text message containing an address is sent to me, if I could simply click on it, and it would send the directions to Google maps/navigation, or any default GPS program.
Since I am unable to Copy the text with the default messaging program (EVO), I cant just copy and paste it into Google maps.
I recieve a text message from a friend that has their address in it, and I want to add this address to their contact. How do i go about doing this. I have tried to figure out how to select(highlight/copy) text in a SMS but have not found a way.

I was told that any text message sent to me that is larger than the standard 160 characters, would be split up into two or more messages. This is not happening on my phone, and I'm wondering if this is an OS problem, phone problem, or if I just need to call Verizon to have them investigate?

View 1 Replies View RelatedOkay so I have a friend who has no phone so best way to talk to him is send him an email. I used to have a blackberry and I just added his email address as a contact and display name was also his email address to keep it simple. I would then do new sms and I can make him a recipient and it works just fine. Now I'm trying the same technique with my evo but when I do a new text message he doesn't show up cuz he has no phone nbr only an email address. So I have to manually type his long email address every time I want to send him a msg. I've tried using chompsms and handcent but no luck. so any ideas on how i can make the process easier and not have to type his email every time?

I'm using Roadsync email
How I do it now is: Navigating to the contact I would like to forward, edit it, mark and copy the phone number, paste it into a text/email, write the name of the contact and press send.
Features I also would like to see in the future:
Have the Roadsync application use the "Full Name" field instead of the "File As" field, when syncing contacts with MS-Exchange.
Why is when I send a text message or an email it automatically adds them to my contacts?

I was told by Verizon that the phone might do it after some further updates. What is the real deal here. Will 2.1 fix this? I went back to my 2 year blackberry becaue the email was far more reliable and I could forward whatever came in with the emails I got. I have set up email accounts connecting to a google-hosted email account via IMAP. I am finding that when replying to a received email, my reply goes out with redundant repetitions of the email address on the "to" line. Example: Email from soandso@gmail.com arrives. I click "reply" on the phone and the reply goes out to soandso@gmail.com; soandso@gmail.com; soandso@gmail.com; soandso@gmail.com etc etc *10 times*, instead of just once. It also copies me about 10 times! Is anybody else seeing this? I use this for work emails, so it looks very unprofessional like I am trying to spam my clients! I have another couple of days before my 30-day return period is up, so hopefully someone else know how to fix this. Is there some setting I am overlooking?
