So the one and only thing that I have to complain about with this phone is the serious lag when you tap a favorite person on the contacts widget. Its like a 3 second lag everytime. Any good apps on the market that would replace this widget? I love this phone!

I entered a friend into my contact list and added him to my Favorites widget. I want to remove him from my favorites widget now, but not from my contacts list. How do I do this? It keeps deleting the entire contact. I've edited the contact and removed him from Favorites group and I've gone into People, Groups, & removed the contact from Favorites but when I go to my contact list, he doesn't show up anymore. Why?! If I go to the Favorites widget and add a new favorite then the contact shows up again. But if I just open up people and scroll down-no contact showing up!
View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter playing with my Incredible for many many many hours, just found a really sweet trick.In the favorites widget i have people with multiple numbers(cell, phone), and when you click on that person it calls the primary number, but last night i found that if you click the actual name of the contact(right under the actual pic) a detail properties pop up for that contact and from there you can callsmsemail the person via other numbers.now back to looking for more cool things

View 7 Replies View RelatedUnder each contact person it gives the chance to enter numerous numbers (i.e. home, mobile, work). then when u go to that person it gives a ton of options. For example if work, home and mobile are all listed it will give the option to call all 3 numbers and send message to all 3 numbers. Obviously I can't send message to work or home numbers. So....my questions is can I somehow delete the options to send message to home and work numbers? That way the the only options listed are: call home, call work, call mobile and message mobile. Also I did it once and forget how...but how can I change which number is the primary one on a person's contact list?

When you got to People and then to Favorites and long press a contact, the only options are:
- Call Mobile
- Edit Contact
- Delete Contact
- Send contact as vCard
I don't see the "default action" inside the edit contact menu. Those were the steps providing in the ERIS forum and it seemed to work for ERIS users, however, I don't see any such option in the Incredible.
This is just a little pet peev wondering if someone has an answer. How do i update the pics that are pulled down from facebook into contacts and the favorites widget. My friends have changed photos and they don't seem to change on the phone.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhenever I add a photo to a contact, then put the contact in the Favorites widget, the picture blurs/pixelizes/generally looks like crap.
I was syncing the pictures with the ones in my Gmail contacts, but I then came across this thread in the Incredible forum. However, the solution given there (manually loading the pictures on the SD card and then choosing them from the Gallery) will only work for a short time. Within a few hours, the picture in the Favorites widget goes to hell again.
I thought it might have something to do with the Google sync, but I just did a manual sync, and it didn't affect the picture at all.
My only clue is that when I go into the profile page for a contact that's in the widget, the (smaller) picture in the upper left corner looks fine. But when I go into the edit page, the picture looks terrible, like it does in the widget, until I save again. Also, if while in edit mode, I choose the contact picture from the Gallery again, the picture resets in the Favorites widget. For a while.
Since it was happening with the Incredible, it appears to be a Sense or Android issue rather than an Evo-specific one. Is it too much to ask that my friends and family look as smooth and sharp as the perky models in the sample Favorites widget?
I'm running android 1.6 on my gigabyte gsmart g1305 phone and I'd like to see a contact picture in all of my contacts, not just my favorites!

However, when I go to the Favorites widget and click + to add a contact to the widget, I get a list of pretty much everyone I've ever sent an email to through my GMail account. I only want my real contacts to show up there, I don't need the dude listed there that I sold my blender to on Craigslist from 5 years ago.

She wants a very quick way to access calling/texting her favorites. Is there a Contact Manger program that could have individual icons for each person that I could place on an empty home screen? So, wouldn't have to open the app, just go to the home screen where there would be multiple favorite people icons. I wonder if Launcher Pro Plus has this feature? I'm going to try Contapps as this looks like it might work. Not sure if I have to first open the app and then select favorites. She's trying to minimize the number of hits before dialing/texting.

So none of them sync to my gmail account. Is there anyway to easily change the designation so they sync instead of having to reenter them individually?

Is there a special way to have contacts actually on your SD card? Or do i just need to keep google sync on. I tried turning it off for battery purposes, but then all my contacts went away. You can clearly see in the commercial someone clicking on a person from the HTC people widget. However, after they click the person it brings up the person's information, as opposed to performing the default action specified for the contact. From my tinkering with this widget, it seems that you cannot actually perform the action they show in the commercial.
