I have the "favorites" widget on my Inc and I upload the photos for each caller and the pic looks crappy and pixelated. Why?! I've tried different size/resolutions for the sample pics that I'm using and still the picture looks grainy.

This is just a little pet peev wondering if someone has an answer. How do i update the pics that are pulled down from facebook into contacts and the favorites widget. My friends have changed photos and they don't seem to change on the phone.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm working on customizing some scenes and I cannot find a widget/program/shortcut for "Favorites" - this is the widget that lets you select favorite contacts for easy access. For example, the Favorites widget appears on the 2nd screen of the "HTC" scene. I've gone through all the widgets and programs and cannot find this.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI entered a friend into my contact list and added him to my Favorites widget. I want to remove him from my favorites widget now, but not from my contacts list. How do I do this? It keeps deleting the entire contact. I've edited the contact and removed him from Favorites group and I've gone into People, Groups, & removed the contact from Favorites but when I go to my contact list, he doesn't show up anymore. Why?! If I go to the Favorites widget and add a new favorite then the contact shows up again. But if I just open up people and scroll down-no contact showing up!

When you got to People and then to Favorites and long press a contact, the only options are:
- Call Mobile
- Edit Contact
- Delete Contact
- Send contact as vCard
I don't see the "default action" inside the edit contact menu. Those were the steps providing in the ERIS forum and it seemed to work for ERIS users, however, I don't see any such option in the Incredible.
I just tested out the photo widget (not the photo slideshow widget) and the photo I put in the widget is coming out pixelated/distored. It looks like it's compressing too much or something and looks almost blurry.

I was syncing the pictures with the ones in my Gmail contacts, but I then came across this thread in the Incredible forum. However, the solution given there (manually loading the pictures on the SD card and then choosing them from the Gallery) will only work for a short time. Within a few hours, the picture in the Favorites widget goes to hell again.
I thought it might have something to do with the Google sync, but I just did a manual sync, and it didn't affect the picture at all.
My only clue is that when I go into the profile page for a contact that's in the widget, the (smaller) picture in the upper left corner looks fine. But when I go into the edit page, the picture looks terrible, like it does in the widget, until I save again. Also, if while in edit mode, I choose the contact picture from the Gallery again, the picture resets in the Favorites widget. For a while.
Since it was happening with the Incredible, it appears to be a Sense or Android issue rather than an Evo-specific one. Is it too much to ask that my friends and family look as smooth and sharp as the perky models in the sample Favorites widget?
I just got the phone today and I can't find it where this widget is. It looks like the People "favorites" widget, except with web sites instead of your contacts.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have read all of the out-of-the-box rave reviews of the camera quality. I am not having the same experience. It seems that most of my photos are way too vivid, pixelated, and washed out looking. I have researched all of the forums I know of. I have tried reducing MP, ISO, brightness, etc. I just can't seem to find a good balance. I love photography, but am less than an amateur when it comes to camera technology. I am the point and shoot, and pray it comes out looking good kinda guy with my other cameras. How to get better image results?

When that contact makes a call to me or I call them, the contact photo comes up on the phone app and is very low quality and almost pixelated. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I couldn't find a spot to change the resolution or quality.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have one GMail account synced to my EVO. When I open up 'People' all my contacts I added through GMail are there. Looks great.
However, when I go to the Favorites widget and click + to add a contact to the widget, I get a list of pretty much everyone I've ever sent an email to through my GMail account. I only want my real contacts to show up there, I don't need the dude listed there that I sold my blender to on Craigslist from 5 years ago.
Anyone know how to remove or reorganize the widget for favorites?

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo a colleague of mine picked up the Droid Eris and while I find the Sense UI a bit heavy - I did love the look of the desktop widget that manages favorites from dialer on screen as a speed dial. Have been searching in Market for a couple of days and don't find! Searched here and only find instructions for adding shortcuts to contacts onto the desktop (which I guess could work, but doesn't look anywhere near as cool!). Anyone heard of anything good?

I know you can set the thing to pop up all of the contact info or one number or an email or whatever, but it doesn't really work well for driving. I'd like to tap the person and have a list of their phone numbers show up from which, one can be selected and dialed. Is there another app or widget that might do this?

The default is that new pictures are all the way at the bottom, and since I have over a hundred pictures its annoying to scroll all the way to the bottom. View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter playing with my Incredible for many many many hours, just found a really sweet trick.In the favorites widget i have people with multiple numbers(cell, phone), and when you click on that person it calls the primary number, but last night i found that if you click the actual name of the contact(right under the actual pic) a detail properties pop up for that contact and from there you can callsmsemail the person via other numbers.now back to looking for more cool things
