Hi, Im new to the forum, I have just got my EVO 4G, just switched from the Iphone anyways I have done some searching and can't find my answer to this question, I have my phone paired with my system, however I cant stream musica via the bluetooth audio anyone else have this issue and if so how did u fix it?

Anyone here who's played with a pre-release Moto Droid and know if Ford's Microsoft Sync works with the Droid?I'm mainly interested in the phone/Blue Tooth functionality, does it connect, how is the sound level on the recipient's end?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have a 2008 Lincoln MKX.I was able to pair the phone and can use it for calls.However, when I use the navigation option on the phone, I am not getting any audio through the vehicle's speakers.I need to turn off bluetooth and use the phone's speakers.Has anybody else run into this issue or know what can be done to correct this?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just Flashed to KaosFroyo V37 from White Widow. So far the Froyo seems to be much faster and smoother than WW. My only issue is that I cannot get Ford's Sync to pair with the phone on this ROM. It has worked on every 2.1 ROM that I have used. It gets to the point where you enter the PIN into the phone and then the connect process crashes.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a Ford with Sync. So, I get into my car and I see a VVM. I push to listen but I cannot listen to my VVM in my car with Sync. It seems the issue is the Droid is routing the VVM thru the "bluetooth headset" (it shows) at all times once a Ford Sync is connected. I guess that seems logical, kind of. And of course, the Ford Sync does not initiate - so no speaker sound - unless you make a call. So, the Droid is playing the VVM via BT but since BT is not initiated by just listening to a VVM, the VVM is playing into thin air. No way to listen to it. You can't put it on speaker phone the Droid and you can't put the Sync to be able to listen as it can only do that if on a call.
Furthermore, If you go ahead and dial into your voice mail direct, defeats the purpose of VVM, you have to cycle through all of your VM to get to the new one and if you delete any, it deletes them off the phones VVM menu. So, I see only 3 lame methods:
1. Dial into your VM and bypass VVM
2. Turn BT off on the phone, listen, turn it back on to Sync with your car
3. Disconnect the BT Sync on your car, listen, reinitiate the BT Sync with your phone.
I have a 2010 F150 with sync and currently i use:ipod connected via USB for music blackberry connected via bluetooth for phone garmin connected via power for nav.I am planning on buying the samsung captivate when rogers releases it and a car dock and what I am wondering is if I put the phone in a car dock and connect only to USB and pair it to blue tooth, will I be able to make calls, play music, use the maps/nav all using sync? Because I notice when i try to play music via bluetooth sync doesnt have full voice control and when i hook up my ipod via usb the ford logo takes over and i cant control the device unless its through sync.So it seems like the phone to do all three is a bit unlikely.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI posted a while back about my stock music player randomly starting when my phone is locked or sleeping. I tried a few things that were suggested, but nothing helped. I have narrowed my problem down to this happening whenever I get into my truck - and that it has to do with the Ford Sync. I know others have had this problem as well.I'm planning on rooting my phone. I'm wondering if rooting will solve this problem? Or has anyone found out how to get around this?

I just got a Focus and have been using it to make calls and stream music. It does that very well. However, my SF gets super hot while streaming internet radio via bluetooth. Plus, it can't recharge via the in-car usb fast enough. Those are the only two drawbacks.
I'm unable to download the "Ford SYNC" app from the Play store. It says the app is incompatible with all of my devices.
I've tried various Chrome extensions but can't seem to download the APK.

I like to listen to live streaming radio (shoutcast) using different apps available. I want to know how I can make a bluetooth connection to my car bt system. I remember I did it once to my bt headset with my Hero but I don't remember how I did it. Also, a few times, my ringtone and keyboard clicks(with Hero) played through my car bt system but I have no idea how it happened. I didn't try to connect it. It just happened on it's own. If I remember correctly, to hook the streaming music to a bt headset you had to dial a pause (P) or dial ## and send it. The phone would make a connection and hang up right away. After that you were linked to the bt. But after the Hero update, that method didn't work anymore, the call would go through and you get a message saying "Can't be completed as dialed". So does anyone know a way of doing this with the Evo?

I have no problem to plug some wire if that is necessary.But I want to listen to the radio (not streaming with apps like tunein) via bluetooth.
With the application of native MP3 music player on my S3 I have a choice if I want to output to the external speaker or Bluetooth. How hard is it to do something similar to the radio? Is there no cooked ROM to do it?
let me start out by saying that I totally expected this to flop, and not even come close to working.I have a Kenwood DNX6140 installed in my car.So on the way home tonight for some reason I decided to try an experiment.I live in southern california. I ran the A-Online-Radio app, and searched for a radio station I loved in Rochester, NY when I was going to school there. Low and behold, it shows up in the list.So, I turn on the bluetooth on the phone, and connect to the kenwood. I switch the kenwood to the bluetooth input, it says "connected to Droid" (didn't even expect to get this far lol), and hit play on the A-Online-Radio.
And poof, the audio starts playing through the kenwood and out my car speakers.That is so freaking awesome, I still can't believe it.The last time I was able to do this was with my VZ XV6700. I would use internet explorer on the WM device, and connect to the web page, and start the streaming, which would come out of the phones speakers. Then I'd connect an FM transmitter to the phone, so I could hear it on the stereo in the car. That sucked, was a pain in the butt, but it worked.
I have the car dock and love how the charging cable plugs into the dock so your not always plugging and unplugging it into the phone itself. You can just set it in the dock and go. Now the perfect scenario to me would be to be able to stream Slacker or MOG music from the X to the car stereo using Bluetooth. I currently have factory Bluetooth in the car, but is only for calls. I would like to get a new stereo with Bluetooth that would allow me to stream music to it in addition to using the X for Navigation. What I would like to know is how the sound quality will be? Is there anyone here currently doing this that can comment on the sound quality and let me know what deck you are using? I am REALLY hoping for success here so I can just drop the X into the car dock and go, without messing with any cables and still have very good sound quality.

Right now I use the application streamfurious to stream internet radio from shoutcast.com's website, an excellent source of thousands of radio links, to the droid. Now it would be sweet to be able to relay this again to another audio device. I have an auxiliary 3.5mm jack on my head unit in my car and I was wondering if anyone knew of any other device to convert that so it could stream through bluetooth. Theoretically I could just plug that into the phone but I hate wires. One other question... I know they say the data plan is unlimited but streaming music 24/7 would have a ridiculous amount of data usage. I think the cap is 5gb is this true??
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm wondering what the current state of streaming online audio through bluetooth stereo is, post cupcake. I think the consensus is that it's not currently possible, but I feel like it should be. In fact, it does ALMOST work. Using StreamFurious or Dizzler, it will start to play and stutter a few seconds, then cut out totally. I can hear a song begin to play, but the audio is choppy and then goes out. So, bluetooth seems to be making, but not maintaining a connection to the audio stream. How to remedy this? I want my streaming SOMAFM.COM.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got a Moto S9 headset connected to my Incredible. While in a local music app (htc media player, tunewiki, mixzing, etc) the bluetooth headset controls work just fine. If I'm in a streaming radio app (pandora,last.fm, slacker) and press the bluetooth controls it will start playing the last accessed local music player. Does anybody else see similar behavior? this seems like a pretty big bug/problem to me.

I have the Apline CDE 9873, which is NOT bluetooth ready. So before I go and buy a new stereo unit or a bluetooth connector, I was wondering if it is possible to stream music using regular air data to a bluetooth ready car stereo.
I use the last.fm app, but I may also run navigator in the background. Would both (or all multiple sound apps) go through to the car stereo?
My husband and I both just got Epic 4G's, and neither one of them will stream Pandora via bluetooth to my Sony XPlod car stereo correctly. Both of them experience major dropouts in the sound. Streaming songs loaded onto the SD card via bluetooth works fine, and streaming pandora via a cable out the headset jack on the phone to the aux in of the stereo works fine as well. So the problem only happens when Pandora specifically tries to stream over the bluetooth. (I am using a Sony XPlod car stereo).

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got a 2010 Infiniti G37. It has a USB port, but no aux input and no Bluetooth audio streaming (wtf Infiniti?). It reads and plays iPods and iPhones just fine. I can not get it to recognize my android phone at all (Motorola triumph running stock 2.2 rooted). It will recognize flash drives though. I think the problem with the phone is it takes a few seconds to click 'connect USB storage' and then 'ok' before it reports itself as a mass storage device. By that time the car is already reporting an error. I have tried with debugging on and off.. is there any tweak, app, or hack I can do to force my phone into USB mode (without the prompts) every time I connect it?
This is actually a pretty important feature to me and I'm disappointed I can't get my phone and new car to play nice. Might even consider switching to an iPhone if there is no other option.
I have a Motorola Triumph (running CM7) and stream music via Bluetooth to my Sony DSX-S300BTX head unit in my car. The quality and consistency of the audio is flawless and can also use my head unit to change tracks and pause/play music with no issue. I recently began using Google Music on my PC and it made sense to use the Android app for accessibility purposes. The only drawback I have experienced is that the artist and song title info is no longer shown on my car stereo. This functionality worked perfectly using my previous phone (WP7 LG Quantum w/ Zune Pass) and on my current Triumph with the stock music app packaged with any version of CM7. I download and listen to quite a bit of new music and this functionality is pretty much a must have feature for my primary music app.
The only workaround I have thought of would be to sync music via the Google Music app and then listen to it via the stock music app. This is less than ideal due to the fact it involves 2 apps and takes away the option to stream music not downloaded to my phone. Also, the Google Music app has a much nicer UI compared to the stock app. If you don't know of a specific fix, but have some knowledge of A2DP and AVRCP Bluetooth profiles.
I am currently having some problems controlling the audio on my phone via bluetooth in my car.
When I press the button for the next track on Pandora, that would automatically activate the Android Music Player and play whatever I have stored on the SD card. Ultimately, what I have is 2 sources of music playing at the same time.
Only way to fix it is to get rid of the SD card. OR I can switch tracks using the phone itself.
I realize that this problem isn't limited to the Droid X. I've read about this happening on the Incredible as well.
Anyone know whether a patch (or Froyo can fix this)?
So I use my X to stream pandora/slacker and the droid media player through my ford sync bluetooth system. I am having two separate issues I am hoping someone can comment on.
The first is that pretty much every other time I try to stream music I do not get any sound. I have to reboot my phone for it to work. Everything is paired correctly and volume it turned up etc. This is my 2nd X and they both did the same thing. Happens on 2.1 and 2.2 leak
Second is that my steering wheel controls randomly work. Sometimes the music player doesn't skip sometimes it does. Also recently if I have pandora or slacker playing and I press the skip forward button on my steering wheel the droid music player starts and I get both slacker/pandora and the droid music player playing at the same time. I should also mention i am on the 2.2 leak.
I was looking for a bluetooth device that I can connect to my Home theater receiver. Size is not an issue as it will sit in the closet and will be running on AC power all the time. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Ford Focus with Microsoft Sync. Shortly after getting my HTC Evo I got it all connected to my car and could make hands free phone calls just like my old phone did. It was great. Then I went to the Bluetooth Settings and tried to change the device name from "PC36100" to "HTC Evo". Now it never seems to connect to my car again.
Frustrated, I went in to the Sync menu in the car and deleted all bluetooth devices figuring I would just start over. Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be a similar function on the Evo. Sync now sits there waiting for me to enter the PIN so that it can pair a device, but when I scan for devices on my phone it will often claim that Sync is "paired but not connected" or sometimes I can get it to prompt for me a PIN. When I enter that, it sits there "pairing" with Sync indefinitely. Other times the application seems to crash before I can actually enter the PIN, and the screen switches back to the "Bluetooth Settings" menu. Touching the button to pair usually gets me back to where I can enter a PIN (without crashing) but again -- it hangs indefinitely after the PIN has been submitted.
I have tried power cycling the phone as well as turning bluetooth off and then back on. I have also tried setting the option to make the device discoverable, but nothing seems to work!
Is there a way to blast all of the information that the Evo knows about paired bluetooth devices and start all over without completely flashing the phone back to defaults? I hope so...
We also have an Escape with Sync so I'll try pairing with that when I get home too. My old phone allowed me to store multiple profiles (which I named Sync-Focus and Sync-Escape) but it wasn't an Android phone. I don't know what's going to happen when I try this with the Evo but I guess it's worth a shot.
