I just Flashed to KaosFroyo V37 from White Widow. So far the Froyo seems to be much faster and smoother than WW. My only issue is that I cannot get Ford's Sync to pair with the phone on this ROM. It has worked on every 2.1 ROM that I have used. It gets to the point where you enter the PIN into the phone and then the connect process crashes.

I posted a while back about my stock music player randomly starting when my phone is locked or sleeping. I tried a few things that were suggested, but nothing helped. I have narrowed my problem down to this happening whenever I get into my truck - and that it has to do with the Ford Sync. I know others have had this problem as well.I'm planning on rooting my phone. I'm wondering if rooting will solve this problem? Or has anyone found out how to get around this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have flashed to KaosFroyo 2.2 v35.1. Everything is fine and the best thing of all is the amazing Power Control widget with all the customization of the widget. But!: I have Exchange 2003 Outlook recurring events created in Outlook. If I use the phone's calendar to delete today's event only from a weekly-recurring event ("Delete this event only"), it doesn't sync with Outlook. In other words, after a sync and check Outlook, I still see the event I deleted using the phone calendar. The other way around, it works fine (if I delete an event in Outlook, it updates on my phone to where I don't see it). Any tips/ideas?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a Ford with Sync. So, I get into my car and I see a VVM. I push to listen but I cannot listen to my VVM in my car with Sync. It seems the issue is the Droid is routing the VVM thru the "bluetooth headset" (it shows) at all times once a Ford Sync is connected. I guess that seems logical, kind of. And of course, the Ford Sync does not initiate - so no speaker sound - unless you make a call. So, the Droid is playing the VVM via BT but since BT is not initiated by just listening to a VVM, the VVM is playing into thin air. No way to listen to it. You can't put it on speaker phone the Droid and you can't put the Sync to be able to listen as it can only do that if on a call.
Furthermore, If you go ahead and dial into your voice mail direct, defeats the purpose of VVM, you have to cycle through all of your VM to get to the new one and if you delete any, it deletes them off the phones VVM menu. So, I see only 3 lame methods:
1. Dial into your VM and bypass VVM
2. Turn BT off on the phone, listen, turn it back on to Sync with your car
3. Disconnect the BT Sync on your car, listen, reinitiate the BT Sync with your phone.
I have a 2010 F150 with sync and currently i use:ipod connected via USB for music blackberry connected via bluetooth for phone garmin connected via power for nav.I am planning on buying the samsung captivate when rogers releases it and a car dock and what I am wondering is if I put the phone in a car dock and connect only to USB and pair it to blue tooth, will I be able to make calls, play music, use the maps/nav all using sync? Because I notice when i try to play music via bluetooth sync doesnt have full voice control and when i hook up my ipod via usb the ford logo takes over and i cant control the device unless its through sync.So it seems like the phone to do all three is a bit unlikely.

I just got a Focus and have been using it to make calls and stream music. It does that very well. However, my SF gets super hot while streaming internet radio via bluetooth. Plus, it can't recharge via the in-car usb fast enough. Those are the only two drawbacks.
I'm unable to download the "Ford SYNC" app from the Play store. It says the app is incompatible with all of my devices.
I've tried various Chrome extensions but can't seem to download the APK.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI love LauncherPro and Froyo, but every time I use a ROM for a few days, LP starts to bug out on me. The problem occurs when I wake up the phone or when I return to the home screen after using a program for awhile.
I have tweaked my settings quite a bit, and I can't seem to avoid this kind of behavior. My overclock settings are 785-245 and I have tried messing with the LP settings, but I can't find that golden combination.
Lots of people say LP is the best option for Froyo, and I certainly like it best... when it's working. So could someone who is having no problems please share the secret to your success?
Right now I'm running KaosFroyo V37 and I'm loving it, but I don't like the stock android camera application. Is there any way I could get HTC's sense ui camera back onto my phone?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have not had any problems with connection but cannot get the dadblame phone to light up while on a call. I'm a realtor and bought a Jawbone Icon (which has been great) so that I can see my calendar while talking to someone, but if I'm talking to someone using the Bluetooth, once the screen goes off, it ain't coming back. I can turn the earpiece off and then wave my hand in front of the proximity sensor and then it will light up, but for obvious reasons, that don't make me happy.

I know it has to be something with the rom because when I restored back to stock to check there were no issues. Is this a known problem with this particular rom or 2.2?

View 22 Replies View RelatedI know that kaos is OC'd to 710 by default, but has anyone tried setting their main SetCPU profile to a lower frequency? Tonight I lowered mine to 245/528 to see what it'd be like, and I honestly haven't noticed much of a difference. Maybe some of my LauncherPro animations aren't as smooth, but that might just be in my head.
Haven't tested this beyond a few hours or with heavy multitasking, but I think I might run with it for a while and see what happens.
UPDATE: Getting Linpack scores around 3.5, which isn't as high as the 4.5+ I was getting before, but is just as high as or higher than the scores I've gotten on most other ROMs (including xtr).
Anybody have any good themes for Kaosfroyo v29?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI finally rooted my Eris and installed KaosFroyo. All seems ok, had some issues to deal with, but got them figured out. Yesterday, I wanted to connect to my slingplayer, but my app doesn't work. It just starts, then disappears. I never get a screen up. Any ideas, or is there a log somewhere on why it might be crashing or whatever is actually happening.I also tried to move it to the SD card in Manage Applications and it says it is copy protected. Not sure if that has any bearing on this, but thought I'd mention it.I do like the KaosFroyo and really didn't want to start over with a different ROM.
