How do you check app permissions after you've downloaded them?
I'd like to review what I've installed without having to uninstall and reinstall everything just to check.

View 9 Replies View RelatedThe permissions say that you must agree to allow them to delete files from your storage including your SD card; must agree to allow them to extract any information from your phone, etc. In other words they can do any thing they want with your phone and the data in it.
Is there any way to not grant these permissions and still get updates?
I just rooted my phone and was wanting to install Virtuous rom 3.0.1. I made a backup with titanium (free) and downloaded rom manager. When I download Virtuous 3.0.1 from ROM manager what do I do next. I thought ROM manager would automatically install it from here. Do I need to choose something from the sd card?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI get this error and i have learned that it means someone sent me a picture but it wasn't downloaded. So i have to go thru all my texts to find the gray box that then gives me an option to download it. (There is no error symbol by the string of texts tho). After i hit download it then shows up. Is this just typical now or is it a setting that just causes me to make the download happen? Btw, im using the regular phone texting setup.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the unrevoked package, moved the drivers onto the sd card, activated the reflash_package and my phone went about halfway through the process before stopping. It went through the white screen with the little green droids at the bottom and then the phone rebooted, but it never went through the last boot screen where it installs s-off. I disconnected my phone and everything works perfectly, but I have no superpermissions. Now when I hook my phone to the computer and run the reflash_package it hangs on "pushing hboot". I've tried it 5 times now and still nothing...

Avi's, mp4, mkv, etc.I created a "videos" folder on the root of my 16gig and place different types of video files there.I know the incredible can't view avi's, but it should be able to view MP4 as is, correct? Mine won't read them. I need to convert them with an app (forgot the name) and convert them to 3gp. They videos always end up so crappy and pixelated.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a HTC Incredible and when I start to play music, my downloaded voicemails start looping and playing over the music. I can hit pause, but then they'll automatically start playing. When hitting menu, there is no option to delete. Only options are "shuffle on, search, exit, get art, concerts and more" Exit doesn't work. As soon as I start listening to music, the voicemails turn right back on. I have turned the phone completely off and on again, and still the voicemails just keep on playing over the music.
View 1 Replies View RelatedNew Incredible, setting up and downloading everything in sight on Thursday. Late last night (Friday) started having issues with mobile network and internet access while not on wi-fi. I have been using wifi predominantly so I think this issue was in the background but I didn't notice because I wasn't using 3g internet access. When I shut off wifi, I was getting access errors and, in my QuickSettings app, it said that there was no APN configured. The HTC settings app, under mobile network, simply said "turning on".
Searched around and discovered that this might be a problem with the app itself (QuickSettings) so I uninstalled it, did *22899 and rebooted. 3g problems went away but now I'm getting intermittent status bar messages that say "message not downloaded - generic network failure".
I am using Handcent and I *think* I'm getting all the messages I've been sent but how could I tell? I've been getting some, at least. I turned off the auto-retrieve for the HTC native messages app but I'm still getting the status message periodically. The phone will vibrate and notify like I've gotten a SMS but all I'm getting is the error message - about every 10 minutes.
From searching around it appears that this has been a thing with the Eris but the fact that it *was* working and now it's not is confusing to me. Is there a known conflict out there with an app combination that does this? I searched the forums and the google but I'm coming up empty.
Whats the deal with receiving pic messages on this phone? When I get a pic messages it doesn't automatically download it, it prompts me to download and sometimes it won't download. I've checked the settings but cant find anything that will let me automatically download.
View 4 Replies View Relatedthe music i downloaded will force close anywhere between 30 seconds to one minute of play. I used the music program that came with the incredible and now that won't work. I've downloaded another music player, but that still didn't work. The same thing has been happening with pandora also (I thought it was the updates but I can't get through more than 30-1min of any song). I removed the second music app and fildo (music download app) and pandora. Still does the same thing on the htc music. Should I try a factory reset? I'm just afraid it will delete my contacts.

View 12 Replies View RelatedYesterday my Droid Incredible kept telling me there was an update to my phone. I waited until 8 or 9 hours later and then did the update last night. EVERY single app, contact, messgae, email...everything is GONE...the phone is like the day I got it. I had no warning and I'm beyond devastated. I was able to use Backup Assistant for my contacts, LOTS of pictures are gone, ALL my message threads are gone and on Monday, I'm going to have to reset my Exchange email at work. I've reloaded my personal email and some apps I remember, but I cannot tell you how upset I am.
One of the biggest problems is I don't know what I don't have? I had so many apps, and I don't have a record of them.
Is there some way to back up everything on the phone, all settings, etc, to a website so this never happens again? I am NOT rooted and a I have Froyo 2.2
My question is- will the marketplace remember all the apps I downloaded after I reset the phone?

so just to clarify, this isn't another one of those "Why doesn't my message show as delivered?" threads. I already know it CAN be done, I found that out accidentally. It worked once, but I don't know how to make it work again.What I did when it worked: I sent my sister a message and then quickly switched over to iheartradio. Her message wasn't sending and the station was stuck at connecting, so I power cycled the phone. Then the message sent and to the right of it there's a green circle with a check mark. If I touch that, it says "Report" and then the receiver's name and "Status: Received." So,does this only work when there's an error to begin with or what?!
