I am a noob to droid modification. I somehow managed to erase the original system off my droid in the process of installing the miui rom. Now the rom is the only thing that is running. It doesn't boot with a droid symbol and when I say restore to factory settings it aborts. PLEASE PLEASE help me out if you know a way to fix this.

I've been using Lockpicker on my Incredible, which requires a password due to the Exchange policies. I turned Lockpicker off by accident and now it wants me to put my old password in. I have no idea what it is. I'm on attempt #10/10, and I don't want the device to erase my data.I can't turn Lockpicker back on without getting back into the menu system. Is there any way to recover my original password? I would've thought it'd automatically be the same as my Exchange password, but that's not working. Is there any way to refresh the number of attempts I have?

If I have my phone off for an hour, and turn it back on and receive a text message that was sent at some point in that hour, how can I find out when exactly it was sent? I don't see the option in Handcent or in the Stock Messaging app.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just got my phone yesterday, and the verizon rep insisted he needed to setup a new google account on the phone. I didn't feel like arguing since I already have one so I let him do it. Once I got home, I setup my account and sync'd all of my email and contacts, but I cannot delete the original account he setup off the phone. I also cannot sync my calendar through my account. The phone is only wanting to sync the calendar with the account he set up. Can someone offer advice on how to delete the account he setup? BTW, I have gone in and tried to delete the account, but the phone tells me applications need this account and in order to delete it, I will have to reset the phone to all defaults and all information will be lost.

TO ALL Storm users (and other users with 5.0, not sure if it works with 4.7.. should be able, havent tested it) you CAN backup your phone via backup assistant from Verizon. I did this yesterday and now have all of my contacts backed up on my account.
While the Tour and Storm 2 had the program pushed to their devices, I (and others) were still able to grab the link!
Simply download and install the backup assistant from the tour link.

When logged in to verizonwireless.com, you can simply select all contacts then export them as a .csv file.
After you do that, login to your gmail account (you have to have one to use an android device anyway) and you can import your contacts.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis morning, I was trying to clear memory on my phone so the battery would last longer. I went to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications, and I started going through the list and pushing the "Clear Cache" button. I pushed in on "Settings" and then the screen cleared and went back to my home screen, where the background was some random picture I've never seen before. It didn't recognize my memory card for me to change the picture, so I had to take it out and put it back in. Now, all of my notification sounds are this random song, and when I go to change the notification sound (for gmail or text messages), there are only the ones I have created in the options list; all of the original sounds that were on the phone before are completely gone!

For example handcent sms had new update that's getting a lot of people saying its "force closing", "slowing phone down", and adding cheeky "charges for some new crappy feature" when the app is meant to be free.
