HTC Incredible :: Baseband refusing to update

HTC Incredible :: Update Baseband Version

Aug 27, 2010

I'm currently running the CM6 rom on my DINC, and I guess I forgot to update my baseband version, which is preventing me from using WiFi, and my camcorder function. So I downloaded the baseband update.zip, and put it on the root of my microSD, formatted in fat32 btw. Hboot detects the update.zip, but for whatever reason can't install it. When I go into ClockworkMod Recovery, and choose the apply sdcard:update.zip option, after 'Writing RDL/BP image..." I get the error "E:Error in /sdcard/update.zip (status 0) Installation aborted".

HTC Incredible :: Trouble Installing Baseband Version 2.x Update

Aug 4, 2010

I have a rooted Droid Incredible currently running froyo (2.2) with a sky raider 2.0 ROM. I have attempted to install the PB31IMG.zip then the update.zip onto a rooted incredible then installed the sky raider ROM. I did not realize that the PB31IMG.zip did not successfully install. From what I could tell it unzips it then says that it cannot find the images. After downloading it to my PC before putting on the root of the SD card it wont let me open it and says that it is corrupt and could not create the file. However I am able to unzip it from my PC running XP. Basically My issue is that the sky raider 2.0 ROM only works with the version2 baseband and I have baseband 1.x version and cannot seem to get it updated. It is causing the wireless tether to not work and the camcorder. Sorry If i have provided too much detail or confusing. I have also tried to unroot but since it wont open the PB31IMG.zip i am unable to downgrade.

I cannot be held liable for any damage caused to your device by flashing this!" If you back rev to Velocity 0.2 from Velocity 0.3, do you need to redo the Baseband update, or is it permanent?

OP
-----------------------------
That's right folks,

This was the goodie that I wanted from the OTA update the most, and now, thanks to t3hSteve at Alldroid, it is available to us in update.zip form. Confirmed success with Clockwork recovery, and I have done it as well with SPRecovery 0.99.3b.

You WILL be prompted to reactivate your phone, and also, re-enter your Google password.

Link:

Baseband results anyone? Bueller?

Screenshot:

Additionally, I would suggest you reenter your programming menu (dial ##PROGRAM) to change your vocode to EVRC-B.

The SPC password is 000000

Motorola Droid :: Trouble Installing Baseband 43.01 Update

Jul 20, 2010

I was running NexFro 1.01 but due to alot of buggyness on my phone I had to abandon it and go back to NextBeastvs 1.1 on firmware 2.1.

After which my reception went to hell even after I did a *228,2. So I tried to install the baseband update .43.01 from the link located here:

http://androidforums.com/all-things-root-droid/121527-what-baseband-everyone.html

However it just error's out when I try to install from the SD card using lockwork, says Installation aborted.

Does this baseband only work for 2.2? If so what is the best one for firmware 2.1?

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 :: Generic Global Update / What Is Baseband Version?

Nov 11, 2010

I was bored today and decided to do the updating through my phone (not through SE Update Service), unlike the previous 3 weeks, it finally shows there is an update for my phone. I was so excited and immediately hit ok and start downloading. It took total about 30 minutes to download and update the phone. Seems like a major update. I was so happy thinking this has got to be the Android 2.1 firmware update. After updating, the phone automatically restarted itself. Took about 1 minute to restart. Right away, I went to the setting - about phone to check the software version. It still shows Firmware 1.6. But the baseband version is now 1.1.27 instead of 1.1.16 before. What is this baseband version?

Samsung I7500 :: Is It Possible To Flash Baseband Only?

Mar 27, 2010

I have a problem with 3g connenction since flashing galaxo1.6.1 coming from ii4 if i recall correct. after being disappointed of galaxo for that reason i decided to flash another custom 1.5 firmware (archers italy ROM) which runs perfectly except i also have the same problems with 3g (connection is working after boot, but only for a while then the 3g icon is still there but only the upload arrow blinks, and no data is coming in). some guy on a german forum told me he had the same problem untill he went back to ii5 which changed the baseband also and now 3g works perfect again. so i guess if i could flash only baseband from ii5 this could maybe solve my problem without having to flash 3 firmwares in a row. the only thing i do not know is how to do this, where in the package is the baseband located, and is it possible to do so?
