View 1 Replies View RelatedIt's been happening a lot lately...when I open up my Internet and start to scroll around, it closes out and kicks me back to the home screen. I haven't downloaded anything lately, other than the maintenance update from Verizon/HTC. (It doesn't show the typical Force Close screen either, it just closes the internet window and I'm back at the home screen.)

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy new Incredible came yesterday! It's very nice, but there is one problem - I can't connect to the Internet via 3G, it works great at home on my network but away from home 3G will not work.
In settings - wirless & network - moblie network is "grayed" out. I called verizon tech and they said it might be because I received the phone before the release date and I should wait until April 29th or 30th and it should be working.
Anyone else having this problem? It's not like I live in a rural area, I'm in the LA - Orange County area.
I am going to be going on a 5+ hour trip tomorrow, and I would like to let my girlfriend use my Incredible internet connection on her new Mac Book. Ideally I'd like to just turn my Incredible into a WiFi hotspot so she can simply connect while I keep it plugged in to charge. However, since I'm not rooted, I know it's not so simple. Anyone here have advice for it? I know I can do Blue tooth connections with PdaNet, but that takes a lot of configuring on the Mac, doesn't it? I also know I can tether one of many ways, but never tried on her Mac before. Anyone have any solutions for the best method to handle this?
View 11 Replies View RelatedSo I dropped AT&T for the Incredible and my number successfully ported over, but I cannot connect to the Internet.I can make/receive calls and SMS, but no Internet besides wifi.I've been on with vzw support and went through reactivating the phone (*228) and a couple hard reset to no avail. They said it could have something to do with porting from AT&T, but I'm not understanding that connection.I don't have too much faith in support figuring out so I'm trying this forum. Does anyone have a clue how to resolve this or is it a defect with the phone. Some details: there is no 3G symbol near the signal status bars.Settings/Wireless & networks: shows "Mobile Network" with a green check, buts its grayed out so no action can be taken on it.Directly underneath "Mobile Network" it says "Turning on..." and it seems to flash that status every once in a while.

This is my first smartphone. After looking through apps and settings everywhere, I gave up and figured you guys would know.I want to invert the color scheme for the internet. Make internet pages display white text on a black background and so on. Many people do this on their computer browsers as it is easier on the eyes. On computers, people just use stylesheets to accomplish this. How can I do this on my Droid incredible internet? Or must the phone be rooted for this sort of customization? Is their another internet app that has this function?
View 7 Replies View RelatedIt worked last time I was rooted but just rooted again after 2.2. My computer recognizes it but when I try to connect it just says no internet access.
View 20 Replies View RelatedFor about a week now the Internet is not accessible randomly on my phone. Either a site will not load at all, or I will get a partial page. Either way, something is messed up. I've called Verizon about this a few times and they can't figure it out. They had me check some settings on my phone, checked my version, done the #228 thing, checked the towers. Now they say that the only other options are to replace my phone or reset the whole thing to factory.
I've been through too many phones. I'm done with switching phones and resetting them. And I can't believe that it's the phone or Google as the last person suggested. I use a lot of data. I'm up to 1GB right now and still have 19 more days in the billing cycle. I think they are throttling my connection.
Granted I am in the middle of my office building, so I only get 1 bar. But from speedtest.net my Droid Incredible only had a download speed of 0.32 Mbps and and an upload speed of 0.13 Mbps (Ping was 410ms). This is just awful, granted it is only 3g. I am interested to see what other people get. Oh, and please don't post speed tests if you are on Wifi, I am only interested in the mobile broadband connection.
View 19 Replies View RelatedI just went through the hassle of factory resetting to see if it will help my post-froyo battery drain. The one thing I could not figure out was how to back-up/restore my internet bookmarks. Does anyone know how to do this? Not mentioned in the manual or froyo guide.

View 35 Replies View RelatedOk, I am rooted and have the wireless tethering app installed. @ 1st it worked pretty good, but here recently it will work for a few minutes then cause my internet to go out for like 30 min or so...but when I tether with pdanet it works for hours with no problem ever. what am I doing wrong when I wirelessly tether to make it stop working, when it stops working, my mac is still connected to the wifi but won't transmit anything.

View 9 Replies View RelatedNew to Android, not new to smartphones. My BB Storm didn't have WiFi though which is the root of my question.
How do I know which system DINC is using to access internet at any given time? For example, if I am at home connected via WiFi is my DINC using WiFi or 3G to connect to the internet? Also, when my DINC synchs up my accts (Facebook, Weatherbug, Native Weather App, Gmail and Mail) is it using 3G or WiFI? Can I set a preferred connection somewhere? I've looked, but can't seem to find something like that.
Okay, so I am totally going to be new to the android phone. I am so excited! I have a question, and fear it may be a stupid one, but will ask anyway! Do I need a wireless router for my Droid Incredible to connect to Internet? Or will the phone connect to the Internet like my LG Dare already does (click on icon and it goes to Internet)? Or can I connect both ways? Do you know what I mean? I am supposing that that if I had a wireless router, that would allow me wifi connection. Is that faster than just using the phone on its own?
