It's been happening a lot lately...when I open up my Internet and start to scroll around, it closes out and kicks me back to the home screen. I haven't downloaded anything lately, other than the maintenance update from Verizon/HTC. (It doesn't show the typical Force Close screen either, it just closes the internet window and I'm back at the home screen.)

I just had the weirdest thing happen. As I was saving a bookmark all of my bookmarks disappeared! Then when I try to go to my bookmark' list from the web browser, it force closes. Obviously its some bug. How can I debug it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a app that runs properly on andorid 1.6 and on my test G1 phone. It is force closing on the new Android 2.1 phones. I am parsing XML( from internet) and displaying in a listview. Is the openstream() method no longer supported. If I debug the app in api level 7, xml is correctly parsed when I step execute it, as soon as I hit continue the app gives the following stack. Any ideas?

I ended up removing Twitter, facebook, etc w/o removing my user ID. Now, accountsync FC's everytime I try to open it. In light of my mistake, how do I correct this issue? View 1 Replies View RelatedI rooted my phone with Unrevoked3. Then applied Unrevoked Forever. Then tried to update to 2.2 with the Update.zip method from the google server file. Phone kept rebooting and force closing. Attempted to Unroot which I am not sure I did properly. I also think my phone is still S-off. Tried to update to 2.2 after unrooting and get errors and it aborts. Now I am also worried that I will not be able to receive the OTA update. Any suggestions? Any way to make sure I am unrooted?

And if i turn therm off using this app, they will just turn back on of i press the program again? Is there any recommended memory setting that we should run at? I am about a week and change into my Incredible now. No problems. Suddenly this afternoon, it starts to auto-close anything I open after roughly 30 seconds, even if I am actively using the app. This includes native apps, and downloaded stuff. I am running Apollo Task Mgr (I checked the settings for auto-kill, and even turned off auto-kill), restarted the phone, searched the forum, and Googled it. Nada. Seems most people can't get apps to stay closed- I can't get them to stay open. Go fig. Also, I made no changes to settings today, no downloads, no nothing, just some Facebook, email, a few calls, Meebo, and SMS.

I run a good amount of apps and widgets and am sure this is causing the life to drain. I downloaded ATK in order to close apps when not in use, but I've noticed a strange occurrence. It seems that w/i 10 minutes of closing unneeded apps a bunch of programs that I have not been using open up. Is there any explanation for this? Also, is there a way to immediately close an app when I'm done using it rather than having to find the ATK widget?

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy new Incredible came yesterday! It's very nice, but there is one problem - I can't connect to the Internet via 3G, it works great at home on my network but away from home 3G will not work.
In settings - wirless & network - moblie network is "grayed" out. I called verizon tech and they said it might be because I received the phone before the release date and I should wait until April 29th or 30th and it should be working.
Anyone else having this problem? It's not like I live in a rural area, I'm in the LA - Orange County area.
I am going to be going on a 5+ hour trip tomorrow, and I would like to let my girlfriend use my Incredible internet connection on her new Mac Book. Ideally I'd like to just turn my Incredible into a WiFi hotspot so she can simply connect while I keep it plugged in to charge. However, since I'm not rooted, I know it's not so simple. Anyone here have advice for it? I know I can do Blue tooth connections with PdaNet, but that takes a lot of configuring on the Mac, doesn't it? I also know I can tether one of many ways, but never tried on her Mac before. Anyone have any solutions for the best method to handle this?
View 11 Replies View RelatedSo I dropped AT&T for the Incredible and my number successfully ported over, but I cannot connect to the Internet.I can make/receive calls and SMS, but no Internet besides wifi.I've been on with vzw support and went through reactivating the phone (*228) and a couple hard reset to no avail.They said it could have something to do with porting from AT&T, but I'm not understanding that connection.I don't have too much faith in support figuring out so I'm trying this forum. Does anyone have a clue how to resolve this or is it a defect with the phone.Some details: there is no 3G symbol near the signal status bars.Settings/Wireless & networks: shows "Mobile Network" with a green check, buts its grayed out so no action can be taken on it.Directly underneath "Mobile Network" it says "Turning on..." and it seems to flash that status every once in a while.
