What is the average temp that the battery should be running at? Mine runs on average at 99 degrees. If I am talking on the phone it usually goes up to about 110. Is that normal or a bad battery. (this is with all other apps turned off).

What is your EVO's average battery temp when resting? Charging? Or when in use? Or the hottest it's gotten?
Usually when I am charging or not using it the battery temp remains around 85F but when using it for a little bit it will rise to around 99F and the hottest it's gotten was around 104F.
What is the normal battery temp while charging? I just pulled my phone off the charger and checked the temp, because it felt pretty warm and it said it was 110.

I have looked at all my apps and nothing seems to be running out of the ordinary. The only thing I am not sure of is in the app "spare parts" under network usage I have a top bar that says "0" and it is full. When I try to click on it for more info it force closes. Does everyone have this (is it normal) or is it something I need to check into further? Anyone know?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI want to buy the HTC Desire or the Samsung Galaxy S. At the moment I prefer the HTC Desire. It's smaller, feels better and has flash which the Samsung lacks. But when I read the fact that the HTC Desire is very limited in internal memory for installing apps and the fact that you can't transfer a lot of apps to your sd card with the help of the froyo 2.2 update got me thinking again about which phone I should pick. I don't want to buy the phone and later regret that I don't have enough space for apps. That's not the only thing that is bothering me. So I want to ask a few questions.
1: What is the average number of apps you can install on the internal memory (so without SD card) of the HTC Desire if you installed update 2.2?
2: Let's say I use internet 2 hours a day, watch movies, listen to music 2 hours a day and also call people 1 hour and send a few text messages. If I do this everyday will I have to charge my battery everyday or will it last longer?
3: Can you install apple apps on HTC desire?
4: What is the average size of an application?
So, i have tried most of the battery fixes on the forums, but my battery drains super fast. disabled talk, did the cdma fix, closed all possible running apps, turned off autosync and the battery still drains. It drained 35% in 30 minutes on airplane mode. I have the battery indicator app installed and the current temp is almost 45 celsius. Is this too hot? My phone is currently charging.

I haven't found an App that records CPU temp for the Incredible, if it's possible.
F to C Deduct 32, then multiply by 5, then divide by 9

Well recently, its been getting REALLY hot here in New York. And with it, my battery temperature has been idling in the 30-35 range, higher in my pocket, and therefore its been at 40 constantly. I've done nothing today with it besides maybe 15 minutes of music via headphones total, and I'm getting like 17 hour battery life. I used to get this while spamming apps, playing around, browsing, etc. Does temperature increase battery use or is it time to switch ROMs (Petes 0.8 has been a battery drain on me).

Most would say, well why don't you leave it rooted? Well I don't have a good answer for that. I guess I dont wanna jack anything up. I'd want to phone to function like it is now. Plus I'm not sure if rooting gives you that main menu (dos type window) when u boot up. Didnt really want that.

I am averaging only about -96 dBm in my home. This is significantly lower than my EVO on Sprint. On the other hand, 3G for data is good - 3-4 bars. View 7 Replies View RelatedI was screwing around with battery usage today and here is what I found as the bottom line. Now this doesn't mean this is the same for you, but I'm sure you all know that. I changed nothing on the evo besides Gtalk automatically signing me in. (No skimping if you would) and I was at a golf club all day yesterday and had perfect signal strength. My EVO went 23hrs on one charge with decently heavy use. When I went back home (bad signal, 1 bar, no 3G) my phone's battery lasted just about 13hrs. Therefore I think TWS is one of the biggest battery culprits. Hence why if you complain to Sprint, they send you a free Air Ave like they did for me and many others.

View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen I was on stock Xperia Gingerbread 2.3.4 on my ST17i, the average image file size I take is only playing around 300 to 600kb each However, after flashing the MiniCMSandwich Lite AOSP rom, the file sizes have been bumped to an average of 1.3mb. I want to know why? As far as I know, on both stock and MiniCMSandwich, I've set the resolution to the highest (5 megapixels).

in spare parts, under other usage, My Wi-Fi on and Wi-Fi Running percentages are ALWAYS the same... right now sitting at 99% each. Surely Wi-Fi on should be at 99%, but Wi-Fi running should be considerably lower since I don't have any form of auto sync or location based things on.I can keep my phone on for 12 hours, Wi-Fi enabled, and Wi-Fi running is always full, at 99 odd percent. Nothing is using the wi-fi, even when i choose to forget my wifi details so there is no connection. I suspect it may have something to do with the root process "0" under Network usage under Battery history in spare parts. I'm thinking it's keeping my Wi-Fi active and draining my batt, even if it's not pulling any data.I've completely uninstalled every app (except spare parts), wiped cache and dalvik, put phone on Aeroplane mode, nothing changes. Facebook app isn't updated to 1.3 or 1.3.1 either.Really at wits end as to why my Wi-Fi is "running" at 100% all the time.Here are my details: HTC Desire rooted with Clockwork from latest Unrevoked. However sometimes when I pull it up I find that things like Sprint Navigation, Qik, Voice Dialer, and sometimes others are running without me pulling them up. My question is, how do I keep these apps from doing this, because they kill my battery when they come on and I don't know it?

I had it unplugged for 20 hours and it was only down to 52% Remaining by the time I was going to bed. Usually, I only get maybe 18-20 Hours with 10-20% left. My usage was if anything higher than usual too throughout the day. Listening to music/videos/texting/emailing/testing apps for a fair bit of the day.The only thing I did differently that morning was unplug it like normal (when I woke up and it was at 100)%, then plug it back in about 10 seconds later for another 5 Minutes before heading out the door. Would that have caused this peculiarity in my battery consistency.
