This morning I started seeing errors about the SD card not being available. I checked under setting and sure enough it wasn't available. It worked perfectly yesterday. The first thing I thought of was that the card went bad since I bought a 16GB one off eBay. So I shut down and replaced the SD card with the 8GB one it came with. No change. The phone just doesn't recognize an SD card anymore.

My son's SIM card is not registering on his Hero. It had been working fine until last night. It works fine in my wife's phone. Both are on Orange in UK.

View 6 Replies View RelatedAs I had a Nokia N85 laying around, containing a 8GB micro SDHC class 6 memory card, I was planning on using this on my desire, since that only came with a 4gb card. However, I formatted the 8GB card in windows, (to fat 32). (I've might have formatted the partitions and everything as well). But either the Desire or PC cant find my SD card at this point. When I put the 8gb card into my N85 and then connect the N85 to my PC, the computer finds it. My N85 has no problem locating the SD card either. What to I have to do to the SD card to be able to use it with my Desire?

So I wanted to use a bigger card 8 gb. It's a new card, but the x10 mini doesn't recognize it. What can I do? How can I solve this problem? The card is not broken, I can use it in my nokia and read it on the computer.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a rooted N1 off of ebay. I plugged my SIM in and everything worked fine all day yesterday. I went to sleep on my bed, with the N1 in my pocket, and when I woke up the phone was indicating that there was no SIM card in the phone. I rebooted the phone, and factory reset it, yet it still indicated that there was no SIM inside the phone. I put my SIM card in my wife's iPhone and the phone worked fine.
1) Could sleeping with it in my pocket have done this?
2) Did I just buy a dud off of Ebay? And if so, how is this possible because it worked all day yesterday?
I have a Galazy S4 and also have a 32GB Micro SD card for music and pictures. I was able to store my game apps and other apps onto the SD card so I didnt use up all my space. Since the update, I can't store any games onto the app. The games do have the toggle button that says Move to SD Card, when I do it comes up with a Unable to move app.

About a week ago when I woke up and looked at my notifications I had a triangle up at the top (like a warning sign), and it said something to the extent that my SD card had been removed without unmounting it. Checked the card, it was still in there properly, so I powered down the phone several times and it still doesn't recognize my card. Some of my apps that were stored on there are no longer accessible on my phone, don't know about pics etc though.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy EVO is acting up. It was working fine one day, I could take pictures, listen to music on my SD card, etc, but then out of nowhere, the phone does not see the SD card. The phone says "Removed SD card. SD card removed. Insert a new one." I have tried removing the SD card, then starting the phone without the SD card, then putting the SD card back in, but it still doesn't recognize the card. I cannot mount the phone as disk drive in my computer (I do not even have the option). Has this happened to anybody else? Does anybody know what I can do to fix this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI got my HTC incredible 2 days ago. When I first got it it had no sd card, so i went back to the store and the guy gave me one. But even after putting the sd card in the device the device still doesnt recognize it. When I go to the settings and click on sd card and phone storage under sd card it says, total space: unavailable, available space: unavailable. this is a major problem cause now i cant download files or use several applications or features. ive tried taking it out and putting it back in, restarting the phone, and formatting the sd card to no avail. i'm no tech expert, but pretty tech savvy. This problem, though, has me pulling my hair out. it seems like a lot of ppl have been having the same problem, but no one has any answer that seems to be working. im going to the store tomorrow to see if its a problem with the sd card, but wanted to check if it was a problem with the phone or if anyone else has had the same problem.

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust rooted my 2.2 Incredible tonight using Unrevoked3 on my Macbook. Everything was fine. I had RomManager and wanted to get Cyanogen, but I wanted to back up my apps first just in case. So I ran Titanium Backup. I wasn't sure how to do it, so I went to Menu>More>Create "update.zip". The phone started doing something, then it said it failed to create update and then the phone went dead. Tried powering back on, got to HTC Incredible screen, then screen went black and phone did 5 quick vibrations back to back and the green "new message" indicator light started blinking like I had a new email or something.
Tried powering back on, but nothing happened. Pulled battery, put it back, still nothing. Had to pull battery, plug phone into computer, put battery back in and then it powered on. Tried a Reboot, but that didn't do anything. Tried re-running unrevoked3, but it won't do anything because now my phone can't find any SD card or internal memory. Both are just grayed out. So even though my phone has 8gig internal and an 8gig external SD card in it, it's not showing either. I can't load a new ROM because it needs the SD card. I put the SD card into my computer and it shows all of my stuff on there, so the card isn't corrupted.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI used the recovery mode first time - it worked, second time playing with NoBloat - it gets stuck in boot screen.I can go to the recovery mode menu, both chinese and english, can do a full clear cache, data, format, but phone still won't boot.
I can use ADB shell, but Smart phone flash tool does not recognize phone, MTK droid tool recognizes it, but I can't backup it.
My parents just gave me a used phone with android in it. About 2 months ago my mum took loads of picutes etc... Today I decided to 'clean up' the phone and deleted all the photos through my PC. After all that, my phone couldn't save the pictures, when i take the photo it says "Your phone couldn't save the picture" or something like that (got my phone in polish language) and i restart the phone so that everything on my phone will delete and still nothing, i just don't know what to do. The phone is Sony Xperia Tipoo as i know.

I've tried with both the 1.5 SDK and the 1.6 SDK. I have tried all the suggestions in the aforementioned thread. I can mount the device just fine, but adb does not work whether it is mounted or not. I've tried it both as root and as myself and with it in $PATH as well as using. In the dir. Adb appears to "work" as it tells me "List of devices attached". At some point right after I installed 1.5, I remember setting something up to make the USB connection easier, but I don't remember what that was. My hypothesis at this point is that is somehow interfering, but any help you can give either way would be much appreciated.

So heres the issue. I've been dying to get myself an android phone for a while now, but no carriers in my country (Ireland) have any affordable ones. So I've been shopping around online. I've found a faulty one on ebay. Its fine except it keeps saying "No Sim Card"
So I was wondering, has anyone had this issue before? And is it something I could repair, or should I keep looking?

I loaded the application on my computer and searched for the music and pics. That worked fine. When I plug in the phone, the computer doesn't see the phone. USB issue.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter successfully sorting out all the troubles of connecting SGS to KIES, and been using it happily for almost a month, now I'm facing another trouble which is quite big this time. Windows Vista (32-bit) and Windows 7 (64-bit) can't recognize the phone when connected through the USB. Got a message says the USB Device/Hardware Is Not Recognized. I'm using the SGS original cable. The cable was working perfectly and now suddenly it doesn't work in data mode but still able to recharge the phone battery. Am I having a cable problem? Or worst, the USB connector (on the phone) problem? I tried to clean the USB connector on the phone but still can't connect the phone to my computers.
