The camera on these phones sucks to begin with but it did come in handy some times. This is the kind of pictures it takes now.

After I set the picture or whatever and crop it, I return to the home screen and the Colorful Bubble HTC Wallpaper always shows up instead, only the live wallpaper really works all the time. Anyone else have the same problem or know a solution?

I never really paid attention to it, the sliding open never really bothered me, until I realized that basically my phone was sliding open, coming on, then closing, then opening again. Anyway, she absolutely HATES that Motoblur green side-pulling tab thing for answering a phone call. She just can't seem to get the hang of it. Is there some way to change that, or is there an app available that will change the interface and just give her a simple button to push for answering a call?

I know I will more than likely not find what I am looking for because the slide out keyboard is a selling point for this phone, but mine keeps sliding out in my pocket and I am concerned that the open portion of the keyboard might bend, flex or crack if it is bent the wrong way. I've been paying attention mostly to the Legend, because it was more similiar specs to the Hero than the Desire does. I've noticed that the new Sense seems to run very smoothly on the Legend with its 600MHz processor. Now, we all know that the Hero can be quite laggy at times, and we all want some performance increase from the update. But how much better really is the 600MHz processor than the Hero's 529MHz? Are the videos of the Legend a good portrayal of how Sense will perform on our Hero's?

It's now version 1.32.161.4 and the root guide at 24/May r4 - HTC Legend rooting guide - Now with 1.31.x - Android @ MoDaCo says 1.31 and below is there any way to downgrade the Legend to what it was before? I think it was 1.21 or 1.23 not sure.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen i first got my hero i was told to install a taskiller.I found this annoying and bothersome and my phone had several issues such as force closing and awake time.Then i read somewhere online that Android "is a smart os" and you don't need a task killer.So I uninstalled.Everything got better.My phone will lag or slow down here and there, but i think that's more the insufficient hardware of the hero.Usually I just wait a second and it's fine.Or press the home key.But here's the thing.I bought my wife an Intercept, and two best buy mobile employees told me to install a task killer - that this is how you "manage" android.Honestly, if this were true.Which I don't believe it is.I would not like the Android OS.But then a Sprint employee told me to also install a task killer.Only HTC has confirmed my earlier understanding that they're not necessary.So I've heard mixed things.In my own limited experience, it's not necessary.But i still see articles and forum posts talking about using them.So what is it? Are task killers a nagging and persistent myth.Or is there any real net benefit from using them? Or is it that they were more useful to version 1.5?
View 16 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to create a basic AlertDialog using an activity with a theme of Theme.Dialog.What I want is for there to be a horizontal bar between the title and the message. However, the bar is not being resized correctly. Rather than being the width of the activity, the bar is the width of the message text. This means that if the activity is being expanded by the message, then the bar will fill the whole activity, so it looks correct. However, if the message width is less than the activity width, the bar only displays above the part of the activity with the text. I've tried every single combination of "fill_parent" and "wrap_content" that I can think of, and none of those work.I've also tried using RelativeLayout and placing the bar above the message text, but that also doesn't work. If I use the RelativeLayout approach and set the bar to fill_parent, it causes the activity to expand to fill the whole screen width, which is also undesirable. Ideally, I want the text placed, the activity width computed, and the bar resized to that width (without affecting it). Is there some way to flag a view to fill the parent view but not to affect its size?

I use dialogs made from layouts, but since I set the theme for the application, they have inherited all of the regular styles and no longer carry a border, etc. My question is: How do I say, "I want everything to use this theme which extends Theme, except dialogs, which should use this other theme that extends Theme.Dialog"? It seems like that's how things work by default but when you set the theme to your own, you lose the dialog theme!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've extended Theme.Dialog to use a different color as per the sample in the ApiDemos project but for some reason it does not use the theme properly in my project. I created a new project and it works perfectly fine there. The main problem here is that it does not show as floating in my project. Instead, it sets the rest of the screen black except for what would be the dialog window, where it uses the correct colors, etc. Any ideas? I am beating my head against the wall here.
