Jun 13, 2010Why can't I find a charger for an extra battery? As fast as the battery drains on these phones, it is a pain to have to plug in the whole phone to charge.

Jul 11, 2010I'm looking to buy a new battery for my evo to keep in my pocket so that I can switch it out when my OEM battery dies. I've seen the 3500mah seidio coming out, and I don't see how that would work because I NEED a case to protect my phone.I'm not trying to break the bank, looking to spend between 20-30, a regular battery same mAh as the regular would be fine, and preferably the OEM, but I can't seem to really find the OEM anywhere. I even looked for Touch Pro 2 OEM batteries but couldn't find any from quality sellers (sites I recognize and trust).I looked on Ebay and found two batteries and a dock charger for 10 bucks, and I've researched it and they seem to get generally positive reviews, but I'm still no sure about those, as I've heard horror stories about cheap batteries.So can anyone help me with my search for a battery, or possibly suggest some other ideas or give me some other advice? It would be much appreciated.

Jun 2, 2010So this weekend was my first real world test using the GPS turn by turn for a long car ride (about an hour). I had everything all set plugged in and started the music player (not Pandora) running in the background while the GPS was displaying on the screen. I also had the bluetooth synced to the car. To my surprise, the battery started to drain. It was pretty slow but after about an hour around 5-10% of the battery drained even while plugged in. Do you think it is my after market car charger from monoprice (For only $1.46 each when QTY 50+ purchased - Motorola V8, V9 Series Car Charger for RAZR2 | Motorola It has been working great in the car for about 2 weeks with Pandora playing and bluetooth.
Anyone else experiencing battery drain while plugged in the car using GPS? I think I read someone having a similar situation but with the Verizon charger. I am also using the stock battery. If not, please let me know which car charger you are using with a link if possible. I can't continue using this one if there is one out there that will keep me charged in the car.

Dec 24, 2009My phone was dying so i charged it. Plug it in, 30 mins past so i went to check on it.
So i looked at it and battery is still red. And i am wonder what the heck. Everything is plug in where it should be.
Low and behold the chord connecting at the mini usb well let's just say the casing is ripping apart and the wire is exposed. I've had this phone for 3 weeks and this happens.
Verizon better give me a new charger. Also i've notice i always get Sense UI force closed and other apps force closed but if i close and start again it works.

Jul 20, 2010My girlfriend and I both bought this phone from Verizon last Friday. We both let the battery run down completely before charging it up (which I was told by the Verizon rep was the "way to go"), and we have both been experiencing GOD AWFUL battery life. Strange battery behavior has included (but has not been limited to):
- Battery going from 100% to 5% after 5.5 hours straight of browsing, playing games, etc., followed by the Battery going from 100% to 5% after 5.5 hours of idle (with light texting and a few quick phone calls mixed in). Seemingly no consistency.
- Battery draining down to around 30% after about 8 hours off-charger with light to moderate use (a few web pages, a few apps downloaded, and about half a dozen texts). If this wasn't annoying enough, shortly after reaching 30%, the phone suddenly took a nosedive into the red, and warned me that I had 5% battery remaining.................

Aug 29, 2010Just installed SkyRaider 2.5.2 yesterday and radio 2.15. Using Launcher Pro+ and updated the notification bar to have the circle indicator. The charge took almost five hours. (Which I see is a common thing). However, when I unplugged my phone from charging this morning (9+ Hour charge) the battery went from 100% to 93% in about five minutes. It seems like I am losing 1% every minute or so until I reach 93%. Then it kind of stays steady. CPU clock is running constantly at 600 MHz+.
