I have just installed the villain 5.4 rom, which is great. i backed my apps using appmonster & have reinstalled them. however none of these reinstalled apps appear in the android market. Is there a way of fixing this without having to download the apps from the market?

Where are theu downloaded to? If you uninstall an app is it still on the phone in a folder somewhere on the phone?

Last one I updated was mytracks (says I updated google maps well its the last on the list)And instead of having there 20-30 apps I have there 5.Apps that are missing arent the ones that I moved to SD.And I cant attach them to market CUZ they are attached. Installed. When I search for them in the market. It says installed and I can even update. I just dotn see them in the download section..Now I thought it might be something cuz I changed markets via market access to be able to download payed apps. But which sim I try , the same few apps (all after clear cache and force stop ofc) pop up.

It just says either authorizing credit card for paid or starting download for free apps. I have even let it go over night and it never finished.

Now that app won't show up in the market for me.I know I read something about apps not showing up if the ROM is not "signed" by Google, or something. But the zip from Fresh 2.1.2 ends with "_signed_release". So what do you do to get missing apps to show up?

I then went and did a search to locate them in the marketplace and got no return, as if the application doesn't exist any more.
View 49 Replies View RelatedToday i have been having some fun today downloading and yes buying (!) apps from the mkt. well, i started getting a little instability - i couldn't get an IP from my wireless router --- i had d/l "wifi keep alive" and "wifi reconnect" and "wifi reassociation". so i went to the mkt intending to uninstall one by one until i restored my ability to DHCP to the router. selecting the "downloads" section of the mkt revealed only about two pages worth of apps. believe me - i have a LOT more apps than that! mostly all the apps that appear are purchased apps (one exception - gmail is there too) - but even then, not "all" of my purchased apps are there! in doing my due dilligence checking to see if anyone else had this problem and solved it, i found this thread and this thread - neither of which have anything to say to help me. ANY idea how to get my apps to show up in the mkt? the apps themselves ARE STILL ON MY hero, they just don't appear in the mkt)

And also, some things to think about: remember that the Hero only runs class 2 speeds, even if the card is class 6. Do you think this will change once we receive Android 2.1? Because if not, I would imagine that the phone would be slow opening apps (assuming apps to SD will be available).I know that if they do program the Hero to allow class 6 speeds, and allow apps to SD (without root) then the Hero could run MUCH faster than it does now.

View 6 Replies View RelatedLast night rooted my phone & installed vallian 5.3. took me awhile to get it right but its working fine. however i installed my back to back up all my apps/data but iam having trouble restoring it back into my phone. I install my back up & when i hit restore, it says cannot get back up info etc...really weird as ive placed all the files back onto my sd card & i see them. this is annoying cause i even backed up export2contacts to restore my phone numbers but i need my apps restored for anything to work. really dont wanna download all of them again.

It seems as though none of the Apps that require root are working properly.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I've rooted my Hero, flashed a custom ROM, flashed a custom kernel, and then I downloaded some root-requiring apps (namely setCPU and Wifi Tether). However, whenever I open these apps, they do not ask me for Superuser Permissions!
For example, when I open setCPU, it says "No root access detected. Are applications allowed access to root? Operating in read-only mode." How do I fix this?
Can someone briefly explain the steps on how to root the Hero, so I can put apps on the device?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI recently downloaded two apps that I paid for. Hated them so i just uninstalled them. However they will not go away from "My Downloads" This is a problem because I am tired of seeing them in there.
I know paid apps are supposed to stay incase you want to get them again. But i really do NOT want them. My question is how in the heck do i get the paid apps to get out of my downloads list?
My installed apps aren't showing up in the downloads section of the market. Yet if I search for them in the market it says they are installed and I am able to update them. I read that installing a new app somehow refreshes the list so I tried that but didn't help. Tried the market doctor in TiBu that didn't work either. So then clicked restore all apps and after that didn't work I went as far as to wipe my phone and reflash my rom and restored my apps again with TiBu, still nothing.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've got an HTC Desire & downloaded a few apps/widgets from the market today. They seem to have downloaded ok and I can see them sitting in the 'downloads' tab of the market...but how do I actually get them from here onto my device to use them?
(Things I've tried...clicking on them in 'downloads' just shows more info on them and clicking install just re-downloads them, longholding just brings up info about them, I can't find a 'downloads' folder on my mobile, they aren't appearing with the other widgets or programs, adding the market on my mobile just links me back to the market homepage...i cant see anything in the user manual or learn more sections that is of help on this - they both say to go to all programs and my downloads but I don't have a my downloads just downloads section in the market which doesn't seem to move them to my device?).
I installed the Discovery Channel app then deleted it. It still shows in my download area as free. Any way to remove this listing showing under my downloads area?

I'm on a Bionic with the 232 ICS leak and just watched a 45 MB app update download only 13 MB and then successfully complete the update and run. Is this a feature of ICS now too?
