I spent some time rolling back my Eris this evening, putting it completely back to stock, including installing the 1.47.0000 S-ON (locked) bootloader.This post is mostly for documentation purposes, but I did discover the answers to some long-standing questions of mine - look for these trivial nuggets highlighted in green down the post a little bit.

I am having so much trouble but now I have gotten to the point where it tells me the upgrade went well and is done, but now when I try and get into recovery it just goes back to the Bootloader screen and won't boot into recovery even with the adb reboot recovery command.I tried to run the unrevoked again and it passed but when it does the last reboot to recovery is sits for a second the phone does nothing and then says done.I would have assumed it would have booted to the recovery console at that point?

View 1 Replies View Relatedi originally rooted my phone using the sprecovery method. i also loaded up chevyno1's 1100lv kernal that same way.i was told to use rom manager to load up a new ROM in order to make it easier on myself to go back to the stock ROM should i choose to.i installed rommanager, and applied the new rom. nothing happened. it didn't load, my phone rebooted normally. i tried manually going into recovery and nothing happens. the big "m" stays on there for a while, blinks and stays on there a bit longer. it will stay there as long as im holding "x" down.can i uninstall rom manager and fix this issue? any other way?

If I am rooted and do a backup by booting into Clockwork recovery and do a backup, does that save everything on the internal memory of my phone/tablet?
I have searched all over and I am not clear if it includes stuff I copy (like music, pictures) or it is just the ROM, apps and app data.
It seems like you can only backup to the internal memory. What do you do if the backup gets too big to fit on there?
I made two backups of ROMs by manually booting into recovery. Everything went smooth except that I made one on 11-21-10 and it's named as 11-22-10 and the other was made the next day on 11-22-10 and it's named and dated 11-23-10.
The date and time are showing correctly on my phone. This is not a big deal now that I'm aware of it, but was curious if anyone has experienced this and could shed some light on this?

Every thing I read says hold down the volume up volume down and power keys. I can't quite find the right mojo to get it going. View 1 Replies View RelatedI dried it in rice and it started up fine after about a day but the trackball was acting like it was constantly pressed down. So seeing as the warranty was already voided because it got wet I decided to open up my phone to make sure there wasn't any rice bits inside. After closing up my phone it now will only boot up to the hboot screen. Holding down the volume down button causes it to check the sd card for files that cant be found. The file list is to quick to really read but they all start with PB00 and end in .zip. A guy at verizon recommended that I try to root my phone but all the directions I've found require you to put your phone in usb debug mode

View 9 Replies View RelatedI seem to have issues flashing to new ROMs. I finally figured out how to do a logcat and was wondering if you guys would take a look? I just flashed over nonsensikal black 5.4 and when booting up ran the command adb logcat. I copied what I think is most of the text in the command prompt window by selecting mark and pulling the cursor down to cover all of the text, then pressed enter. copied to text file.

My son was playing toddler lock and afterwards, it seemed to be working fine. browsed the web for a bit and no issues what so ever... Powered it down to get it as much of a charge as possible before heading out for the night and when i booted it back up, the following processes were force closing.And if i select to being the phone up, it says android.process.acore has stopped and must be FC'd as well. when i use the mobile widget to turn the mobile network on, it says that the application, HTC sense (process com.htc.launcher) has stopped and much be fc'd.Anyone got any ideas?The phone hasn't been rooted or anything done to it other than a few apps from the market.

After that I did the app2sd method and that's where my issue started.
Basically followed it step by step and now my phone just sits at HTC quietly brilliant and every 30 seconds it goes black and back to the white screen.
i saw on some of the user interfaces that you can list your notes on a home screen. how to do that?. if i long press on a home screen it brings up note everything but not a list of all my items. i wanted to be able to see my list of things to do on the home screen. if this is not the right app to do that
