Anyway I could get this setup on my eris without having to get info from my IS Dept? Not really sure they would let me have it. I get work related emails on this account and when I am away from the office and have an email for a powerpoint etc. I would like to be able to get it.

I know there isn't a specific app for Android which will let me do this with the Hero, but wondered if anybody know's of a 'two step approach'. i.e. get Lotus Notes to sync the calender with, say, Google Calender; then get the Hero to sync with google calender.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm wondering if there is a way for me to access Domino Web (work email through the internet) from my Samsung Moment. I have no problem accessing my work email from any regular computer, but when I try to access it with my phone a message comes back saying the server is not available (ie. it won't let me in from my mobile phone). I don't know if this is a firewall security thing with Lotus Notes/Server administration or if my phone's browser can't handle it. Is there a certain android browser I should be using or is there an app that I can download that will allow me to access my webmail? When a mobile device tries to access a site, does the site know it's a mobile device? Is there any way around this?The way I access work email through the internet is by going to a specific web site and logging into the site. From there I can see my email. I can't do this with my phone.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using LN 8.5 and syncing the calendar and contacts to my Incredible. There are only certain calendar entries that are not syncing successfully to my phone. I have tried the following, with no luck:
1) Completely erase the calendar on my phone.
2) Removed the calendar entries from Lotus Notes and re-added them. One entry is a repeating entry in which I was not the creator of the entry. The other entry was a single entry in which I was not the creator.
3) Done a soft reset of my device and rebooted my PC.
I have searched all over the internet, but I couldnt find any app that allows me to sync my Lotus Notes calender with my HTC Magic. All I have found are applications that sync Lotus Notes over Google Calender. It's serious company security guideline offense, and I sure as hell do not want my corporate data to be uploaded to a 3rd party server. I cannot believe that there is no app. ( now when the 2nd generation Android phones are starting to emerge) that can sync via USB, without resorting to Google Calendar.
This is a serious issue for me, and I am sure for other business users aswell, that do not want their company data to be uploaded to Google. I am very well aware that Lotus/Domino is not as popular as Outlook/Exchange, but alas, I have no choice, since it's my companies messaging platform of choice. Am I missing out on something? Can anyone point me towards an app that I have perhaps omitted?

I need to be able to sync my Lotus notes calendar and contacts with my HTC Hero. The sync must be done directly from my desktop to the phone, so what I am looking for is a one step sync. For security reasons I can not use a two step process where I sync notes to google email or other providers. It is not necessary to sync email, only calendar and contacts. Is this possible?

I have 2 other email accounts that no matter what I do I can not get them to work. One is my works email which is handled by a company called network solutions. I can get the incoming server setup fine but I can not get the outgoing to work. The other is my school email which is some sort of msn email account variation (username@email.itt-tech.edu which i log into through msn.com). I cant get anything to work for this accuont.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble sending emails with my pop email account (cox communications). I receive emails fine. However, I get a message stating "unable to send email." I tried deleting and setting up the account again. It seems to accept the pop/outgoing information. However, I get a message after submitting the SMTP information stating "unable to connect to the mail server, server not responding." Is there another email program I could try?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased the Samsung fascinate which runs android 2.1 (eria) and found online before i bought it that the phone could support 2 exchange server emails. i have set up my first email through the setup and selected exchange as the server. now the problem arises, when i go into link up my other exchange email account i enter in the info then click automatic setup, it brings me to manual setup automatically everytime and wont allow me to select exchange as the server. it only gives me the options of imap and pop3, neither of these thus far will work and link my second email, i called my it dept and got the port numbers and all that when entering them into the imap and pop3 setup but it will not work. is there anyway around this or how do i setup to exchange server emails on this device.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI set my gmail account with the email icon/app on my home screen.I did it with the POP/IMPAP option because the other one wouldn't work (don't know what either of those mean).My problem is I can't get it to download my emails by itself. I have to go in and refresh. I have set it to check every 5mins and to alert me but it just wont unless I refresh. I'm assuming there's somthing I'm missing.Also, I just discovered there's a gmail app in that list that gets the emails instantly. It will make a sound with a new email, but I have to go to that list then to the gmail app to check.What I want is to be notified of my emails and have some icon be it the email one or the gmail one on my home page that lets me know I have an email.The other thing is the youtube app, but its seems lots of people are having that trouble.Also, how do I sync access my gmail contacts on my phone on either the gmail app or the email app. I can't see contacts on either right now.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am having a problem with my emails in the native Eris email app deleting after a few days. I have tried every setting that I can think of to get this to stop but no luck. The Gmail app does not delte the messages like the nmative app does. I have the native app set up with my work email and I need to keep messages around until I delete them. Just to stress have no problems with Gmail deleting just the native app which I have set up exclusively to my work email.

Now when I open my gmail, I need to open each email individually in order to delete it. Is there a way to change this?
