Since the Android store doesn't have protected apps available to use yet for 2.1. Is there somewhere you can get them? I been looking for Cherry RPlayer and even though its free its protected. The backup I made didn't include it.

I was running apps2sd them upgraded to xrtrom 4.2 with cach2cach. So i was wondering how do i remove all the apps saved on my sd card so that i can free up that space.

View 3 Replies View RelatedBeen on 2.1v3 since it came out and just today I noticed in the market a couple of games are now showing in my Downloads as Purchased. I bought them back on 1.5 and haven't seen them since the 2.1v1,2,3 updates.
They are SmartPix games Tan'n'Feed and CrystalLight Defence ( and they are great to play, by the way ).
Anyway, I'm 99.9% positive they have not been in my Downloads in the Market since I started down the 2.1 path. Now they are...weird.
Wonder if the 2.1 rollout triggered something in the marketplace?
I have seen a lot of posts saying that people once they rooted they lost access to some of the apps they had with android 1.5.This is an HTC hero rom that was ported over to the eris that I am running right now. With this rom which is running 2.1 you will get access to the protected apps on the market (the apps that come up missing). Read the known bugs section though. Included is an app that circumvents the power down hang and I actully like using it more then shutting down the phone the convential way hope this helps. People running eris with 2.1 don't have access because it has not been officially released yet. Using Titanium backup to backup all your apps etc. when switching to a new ROM. In my experience so far with rooting, Google has been backing up all my apps etc. and then restoring them all every time I try a new ROM. What is the advantage of Titanium?

After flashing and reinstalling the apps using MyBackup, I am left disappointed that the data that goes with the apps didn't make it. I am missing all my Mileage app entries, Storm8's long list of game data, etc. Is there a backup app that would have saved all the application data?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm looking to flash again... right after I loaded all of the market applications that I love onto the phone.
I apologize if this is a trivial question; I'm not yet all that familiar w/ the program management on the android. But what I would like to be able to do is create a directory (be it on the sdcard, my laptop, etc) and store the install files for all of the apps that I install on this phone after every flash. This would save a tremendous amount of time bringing the phone back up to usable status after a flash. And the cat's meow would be if the configurations for these apps could be backup locally as well. Similar to a ~/.name_of_application/ directory on a linux box.
I'm poking around the file system right now, and not finding anything obvious. Would these be the files out of /system/bin?
I can't figure out how to get my Eris to save deleted and saved emails under Exchange ActiveSync. Can anyone help with that?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen i click on batch, then run to backup my apps it jumps back to the Backup/Restore screen with all the apps, nothing gets backed up. I have backed up before with Titanium and it worked. I reinstalled Busybox, didn't help. If i uninstall and reinstall will i lose all the things i did like freeze apps etc ? When i try to update through the marketplace it says installation error, package file was not signed correctly.

TB opens fine and appears to be in order, but I have no "Batch" command. I've read support pages and watched YouTube videos; the option simply isn't in the menu as it should be.

The reason is because the restoring is not working as I need to change the backup location...

I have titanium backup pro. I want to know can I backup only apps data? I mean when titanium backup pro performs backing up are there any option to excludes apk file backup and only backup apps data?
I think it's useless backup apk files, I can download them from Google play store.
So I'm at my brother in law's wedding over the weekend and the wedding music cd was basically destroyed. Everyone else had iphone's which didn't have the 3.5 connector to play through the chappel's speaker system. On top of that we were kind of in the middle of no where so their 3g signals were pretty spotty. Luckily my verizon android had a perfect signal so I went on to Amazon mp3 and bought the songs I needed and became the default A/V guy for the ceremony.

I have Astro File and I just bought a wallpaper from Verizon and it says it's saved to my sd card yet I can't find it anywhere. I checked my photos, and all the folders in astro. I want to have it so if you look at pics you see certain ones but have to go extra steps to see the others.
I saved some wallpapers/backgrounds from the backgrounds app to my sd card. When I saved them, it said "saved to sd card in backgrounds directory(I think or maybe file?). I spent about 2 hours trying to find it---drained my battery doing it(battery still doing much better though--lasted 12 hours today with very, very heavy usage!).
I did see there are some apps to manage your sd card, but am thinking surely I can access it w/out one?
First post here. Been reading for a few weeks and just got my Eris on Sunday. I tried a search for the answer to this question, but came up empty. It probably has been answered before and I just can't find it. Does anyone know the correct way to delete out any scenes that you have saved on the phone? I got over anxious right away with it and ended up having 4 saved scenes on top of the 6 from HTC that are already there. I would like to have just 2 extra ones total and be able to delete out 2 of them. That would give me basically the 6 HTC scenes and then a USer1 and USer 2 type of thing.

When I push the home button it asks me which program I want to use to complete the action (either andriod Home or HTC Sense), I always click the box indicating I want to use this option as default every time I push home but 10 minutes later when I push the home button again it asks me again which program I want to use. I have double checked in my settings and it shows HTC Sense is set as my default home setting but something just isnt right.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo i had a few initial hiccups with the 2.2 update that HTC said we shouldn't have, but its stable and I'm not really complaining. I did have a question for those of us who switched though.I'm missing such things as Chrome to Phone and the 3D Gallery. I don't particularly mind, but was wondering if anyone else had the same issue. BTW, thanks for all the update info and installation help that was posted! Because of this great forum I was not only able to download the update directly to my phone, but also complete the update without a computer. Not bad for multitasking while out drinking. Couldn't have done it without the forum (not the drinking) and for that, and continued support.
