I just got 2.1 installed and love the difference (didn't used the leaked versions). After flashing and reinstalling the apps using MyBackup, I am left disappointed that the data that goes with the apps didn't make it. I am missing all my Mileage app entries, Storm8's long list of game data, etc. Is there a backup app that would have saved all the application data?

How do I do a full backup of all my data? Titanium isn't working for me and I don't know why? I do also have root explorer installed but am not sure how to back up my apps and data with it.

First post. I've looked up this topic so as to try to avoid posting a duplicate, however I can't seem to get the specific answer I'm looking for even still. Been trying to figure out how to do this all day now and have a headache, so please forgive my aggravation. All I am trying to do is store a picture for each contact on my contact list. I can only find pictures stored taken directly from my phone camera. I cannot find any pictures stored on my SD card. Now, before I am told I need to hook up my Moment to a computer with the USB cable, every time I do that all that happens is the phone charges and neither the computer nor the phone recognize each other. I tried saving pictures and e-mailing them to myself, where I then tried saving them to the phone and the only way I could do that was through the SD card. I do not even know how to physically remove or add the SD card as there does not seem to be any openings on the phone itself for it. My laptop runs Windows XP. My question is: How do I access the saved pictures on my SD card AND how do I get my computer to recognize my phone if I need to use it to do this?

This is because the application layer of the phone is not receiving the hardware layer's data correctly (hold talk button, end call button, and middle button upon starting up your turned-off phone, this boots in test mode which shows you hardware layer battery power, aka the correct battery life estimate). It's causing another problem because some applications can't be run when the phone THINKS it's about to die.

I currently have a voice plan, with sprint, for my dying LG Musik and my father's Palm Centro and am seeking to replace my Musik with a Samsung Moment. I have an upgrade available on my account, however I don't want to get locked into a data plan, since I rarely spend any time away from Wifi.
Does anyone know if there is a way for me to use my upgrade to aquire the Moment without commiting to the data plan?
Recently on Sprint's Moment forum a member by the name Mkeng5 has been posting pretty vocal complaints about the Samsung Moment. Not only does he claim the Moment is defective, but he goes a step further and even cites Samsung's own Warranty Policy.

My phone samsung vibrant is not starting, i was using google maps and it hanged and now it goes in idle mode after S sign, nothing on screen and all touch buttons have light on them.
I was using voodoo kernel and android 2.1. I know how to format it back, but i seriously need data backup. When i connect the phone via USB cable to pc, it hows 2 removable drives (phone and memory card) bu t i am not able to access them. Is there any way to get the data?
When I connect the USB cable to my wife's phone, it will charge, but it never gives me the option to use it for data like my EVO does. I have searched here and over the net and the only suggestion people really gave were rebooting and turning on/off debugging mode.Neither made a bit of difference for me whatsoever.It is a used phone that I purchased from someone on here, but everything else on it has been flawless. I think it may be using a custom 2.1 install, but I am unsure.I guess I could try reverting it to stock.

View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I'm using anything that streams data (like slacker, pandora, even a lyric stream from tune wiki) about 20 minutes in it will stop streaming and kill my data connection. This used to happen sometimes before I updated to official 2.1 and I could just cycle it with airplane mode. But now it seems to lock anything having to do with the phone radio up. Wifi stops working, can't get calls or browse web sites. The signal bar will go full and it shows no data connection next to the signal bar. I've run the 2.1 update 3 times and it happens every time. I can listen to Slacker for like 20 mins then it will lock up. I'll reset the phone and start listening again and it will lock up within 5 min after that (so it does it sooner if the phone was just rebooted.)

If it is a hardware issue I would hate to get stuck with a phone that I have to reboot 20 times a day like I do now. Does the Hero suffer this same kind of problem?
View 9 Replies View RelatedMoment keeps losing evdo. Then the browser will timeout on all web pages. Email will not send or receive. Sometimes when this happens, I cannot text, or make a call. When it happens you can only see the up arrow on the left. Sprint store swapped it out for another Moment, and it did it in their parking lot. A few times after this happens I have to do a hard reset to get my email working again. Typing is slowing down on here as well.

I'm not sure what did it but the last message I got was there was too many songs on it and that is not true. It's an 8gb card with 700+ songs 15 pics and 4 ringtones so it being full is bs. I don't know what killed it but I suspect Ringdroid or 91Pandhome both have been acting funny for a couple of days force closing alot. Anyone else have this happen to them and is there a way to recover the data on the card as my laptop just does not see it anymore.

I've learned through the forums that turning off Background Data on the Momemt saves battery life. I've done that. I've also left the Auto Sync button checked (Gmail, Calendar, Contacts). However, my email never comes unless I physically go into Gmail and press refresh. I don't get it. While I love the many features of this phone, I am really missing my Blackeberry . Any suggestions, or is this just the way it is?

View 6 Replies View RelatedOk so I'm about a week and a half maybe more in with the froyo rom the newst one and while I love it especially the battery life. I'm experiencing some new problems that I don't recall having before. The screen will randomly turn off even though I have the screen delay set to 2 minutes. Other times it will just get dim to about 30 percent regardless of the brightness setting. I'm wondering if this is strict lg a hardware issue or something to do with the rom? I'm just afraid one time its not going to turn back on lol. Also I'm having data lockups where I have to restart the phone at least once a day. I don't recall experiencing this before. A little help and or understanding would be much appreciated on these 2 topics....also does anyone know of any better roms? Like one where wireless tethering app actually works? I have yet to have it work since installing this rom.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI keep having this problem with my Moment where it will refuse to do data connections. Sometimes rebooting helps, sometimes it doesn't. It happened three times today, and I was ready to throw my phone out the car window. It's happened on and off since I got the phone 2 months ago. I hoped it would go away after I updated to 2.1, but no dice. My wife, who doesn't use the phone as heavily, doesn't have these problems. Some days (like today) it seems worse than others. I see scattered forum posts about "evdo lockup" and "cdma lockup", but no real idea of how to diagnose what the problem is, and more importantly, whether it's worth taking it back to Sprint and trying to get them to do somethin.

The EV/1x icon just won't come back. This is also an issue because the phone frequently does not do a periodic sync when I leave JD running during the day.
View 3 Replies View RelatedOriginally, when I got my Moment, I had it set up to Auto-Sync my Gmail, Contacts and Calendar. I noticed (especially when managing contacts on my phone) that when I made any changes to a contact, the auto-sync would begin, in turn, freezing up the whole contact app/module. It would freeze for about 30 seconds until the sync was complete.
This would also happen with the Gmail app. So I turned off auto-sync a couple weeks ago, and every time I go into Gmail, I just go to Menu, Refresh. But it's a pain when I get a call saying, "Hey, did you get my email?". So I'm thinking of using IMAP for Gmail now, but I'd rather find out if anyone else is having this issue, or if there's a workaround.
I have titanium backup pro. I want to know can I backup only apps data? I mean when titanium backup pro performs backing up are there any option to excludes apk file backup and only backup apps data?
I think it's useless backup apk files, I can download them from Google play store.
