Oct 31, 2010Is there a way to change the stock keyboard to one like the iPhones? I've gotten very used to the iPhones keyboard and I absolutely hate the DHD's. How do I get Arabic keyboard? It's not in the settings. Is there a way for me to delete stock apps that come with the phone but don't have a delete option? Is there a way to have calendar events show up on the lock screen? Why is it that the Market place does not ask for password when trying to download an app? Is there a way to set it to do so?

Jun 13, 2013I have a Galaxy S III [International Version] and I'm running Paranoid Android [Based on CM 10.1]
I have busybox installed as well as root access.
I want to change the font of the Stock Android 4.2.2 keyboard and the default bold font of all the widgets on the launcher homescreen.
I have no clue which font maps to which so I simply went to Font Installer's preferences menu and selected any font with a "-bold" suffix to be replaced. All I ended up with was a boot loop.
Or is there something in addition to this that I should be doing before attempting a reboot? And what font am I actually supposed to change?
HTC Incredible :: Allows For Different Colors For Notification LED Colors?
May 27, 2010I use Twicca for Twitter, which allows for different colors for the notification LED. I used to have it set for red on my Moto Droid, but it only flashes green on my Incredible. Anyone also use Twicca know what colors I can use?

Sep 8, 2010I keep going back and forth to swype/stock (can type so easily and fast on swype but just HATE tap typing names into it, and hate when the "new world reminder pops up".so for now back to stock for you guys who can touch type FAST...what settings do u use
1) vibration on/off (i think i like it on...but when i type faster than it pulses it gets distracting
2) what is UP with the "check spelling before prediction"...what in heck does this do and is it good on or off

May 11, 2010I think I tried to longpress in the text entry field and find another option but two things about the keyboard really irk me.
1. You cannot enable an autospace to be inserted after you choose an autocorrect word option.
2. I'm just not a fan of the long press on letters to access symbols/numbers.
Maybe I'm spoiled by the Droid but can you swap the text input to the standard keyboard?

May 4, 2010Dl the apk for high res HTC IMEkeyboard, find using androzip or astro. Install after checking allow unknown apps in the settings. Seems to be the same keyboard as stock with the auto space inserted. Only issue that it seems to be a tad slower than stock

Aug 21, 2009I'm working on an android application, and I have a drawable that I'm loading up from a source image.On this image, I'd like to convert all of the white pixels to a different color, say blue, and then cache the resultant Drawable object so I can use it later.So for example say I have a 20x20 PNG file that has a white circle in the middle, and that everything outside the circle is transparent.What's the best way to turn that white circle blue and cache the results? Does the answer change if I want to use that source image to create several new Drawables (say blue, red, green, orange, etc)?I'm guessing that I'll want to use a ColorMatrix in some way, but I'm not sure how.

Jul 24, 2010My app was built on the Android 1.5 platform. I'm in the process of bumping the APIs used to 2.1 . I am still leaving minSdkVersion=3 / targetSdkVersion = 7 in order to support older platforms.
I've made the required drawbles-hdpi / -mdpi - ldpi-v4 folders. Everything is looking great across various AVDs of HVGA/WVGA shapes and sizes.
Everything, except my tabs.
In AVDs running Android 1.5 and 1.6, my tab background colors are appropriate: http://www.shelvesforandroid.com/1p6below.png
However, for platforms running 2.1 and above, something seems to have gone awry:

Notice that the unselected tab color is correct, but the selected tab looks like it's just bleeding the same color as my images.
What can I do to fix this? Enforce the background color to be the same as 1.6-era ?
