Ok sorry new to this, when i start up appbrain and sync i get a list of apps that say update, how do i do the update. do i have to uninstall then click the update?

So, I haven't been able to sync the AppBrain app up with the online website. I want to download all the apps that I've selected on the website.
I've done this already for about 70 apps.
I've already checked my connection with my gmail account, it's all good. I'm just going to go through and install them all manually, but if anyone has any ideas, let me know.
Since I got my Dinc back in June I have pretty much used AppBrain exclusively to install apps. If you know AppBrain, you know that your account automatically makes and saves a list of the apps you load. And you can sync this list with your phone to keep both current. It is also like a backup incase something happens to the apps on your phone. Well yesterday I was clicking my mouse faster than I was thinking and I deleted my "Apps on Phone" list from the AppBrain website. So my question is...If I run the "Sync with AppBrain" feature from my phone will it recreate the deleted "Apps on Phone" list on AppBrain or will it delete the apps from my phone

I know there are a few "startup manager" apps that allow to modify startup behaviour, but most of them require root access and moreover they also require auto start at boot permission to work.
I'd just like a way to figure out which of my apps have that permission so I can decide which is worth keeping and which to uninstall.
I had thought that appbrain is more or less of a mirror of market. How come sometimes I got into appbrain and sync and it shows me no updates, but they I go into the market and it does show updates for some apps?
View 3 Replies View RelatedAppBrain is saying there is an update available for Adobe Flash 10.1 but there's no way of updating it. It keeps saying "requested item could not be found" because it's not on the market. Is there really an update for EVO 4G or is this an AppBrain bug?

I recently read that AppBrain updated their app to v5.0 but that the Fast Web Installer that pushing apps to your phone from Appbrain.com WITHOUT having to go through the Market is broken with the v5.0 update because of changes with the Market's recent update.

QUESTION: does the Fast Web Install still work with earlier versions of AppBrain?? I have kept v4.8 installed on my phone but I'm having a problem with the Fast Web Install. I'm not sure if I'm experiencing a temporary issue or if the Market update is affecting ALL versions of the Appbrain fast web push?
Is anyone else seeing in appbrain that Google Maps has an update but there really isn't one?

Got another question, why is it Adobe flash player 10 will show up in appbrain but won't show up in the regular market, I had to find out about the update thru appbrain.
I know when I dumped my Incredible for an EVO, I couldn't just transfer my APPBrain apps to the EVO; I am replacing my current EVO for a new one tomorrow, and I am wondering if I have to find/download all my apps again, or I can just re-sync the new phone once I put AppBrain on it.

I even uninstalled it and installed from market still no go.I have about 5 apps that just refuse to update and now i dont even have appbrain because it wont download it. Anyone have a link to the apk to appbrian 5.11? or whatever the newest one is. When i press cancel download on the appbrain page it force closes.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI decided to wipe the phone couple days after 2.2 update. I was experiencing severe lag time while typing. Also zooming (double-tap) in browser wouldn't work. Anyway, I cant get appbrain to sync. I installed appbrain on phone and have signed in with same account but none of my apps show up just the pre-installed ones on the phone. When I look on web all my apps still show up in My Apps.

AppBrain app says there is an update for TTS Service and Adobe Flash but when I try to install the updates via appbrain I get the following message for both Not found The requested item could not be found.
So I just did a factory reset and made sure I backed everything up, etc. One of the first things I did was install AppBrain so I could reinstall all of my apps.
When I open AppBrain on my phone, none of my apps show up to install. I keep hitting sync and it doesn't bring up anything. I logged into my AppBrain account on their website and all of my apps show up and next to all of them it says "Cancel install".
Is there any way I can install all of the apps from the website? I would hate to have to download and install each app separately.
I am trying to get my apps back after I got a replacement DX. I installed all of my apps with appbrain. I thought I could just re-sign in and hit sync, but it's not working. How do I re install my apps from appbrain?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWould it be possible to "sync" my apps so that they all connect to the internet at the same time to update, as opposed to each doing them at different times?For instance, my k-9 mail checks for email every hour, but my News and Weather Widget checks every 30 minutes (I think), and my Beautiful Widgets Home Widget checks for weather every 2 hours. I fear that even if I set them all to 1 hour, they'd all be checking at one hour past the time I told them to check, which would still be different times. Is there any way to just sync all of my apps that automatically connect to the internet?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to update my phone now for nearly two weeks, trying various options, yet nothing I do helps in any way.I started off just running the update from SEUS with my phone as i've been using it.the updater started, gets about 70% through "Preparing" and pops up an error "Unable to install or start software update components." Closing which pops up "try again" or come to this site.I then tried uninstalling all installed components, same result as above.I then tried a Master Reset to factory setting, same result as above.I then disable the Firewall and the Anti-Virus, same result as above.Basically, i'm at the end of my tether, this should not be this difficult, I should not have to jump through this amount of hoops.If there was a way to legitimately root the phone (keeping warranty), I could already have Froyo installed, instead of this irritating mess thats causing me nothing but headaches.

I recently had my DI replaced due to a tech issue, but before I switched over I backed up everything using "My Backup Pro".
When it backed up my contacts, it backed up EVERYONE - including 550+ people I follow in Twitter. I did not have these as visible in my People (phonebook) list, just in Twitter. When I synced with my new DI, My Backup Pro installed every contact to my People list, as the app must have thought it was all part of my phonebook. I tried to make the list invisible like I had it on my original phone, but that did not work, so I deleted each Twitter contact manually from my People list. They no longer show in my People list (though are available to be made visible from Twitter).
This did not solve the problem. Any app that accesses my contact list (even Search People) displays the FULL list which includes my Twitter contacts. There is no long-press or menu options available to hide them.
I am willing to clear my contacts and upload the list again, as they are all backed up to my Google account, but I am afraid it would sync with the server and delete what is saved there.
Any advice on how to clear my contact list of my Twitter followers, or start over with my Google-saved contacts?
I'll be receiving my HTC Magic (Rogers) next week and would like to know if, during the first time start up, I can make the phone sync to my gmail using WiFi to avoid downloading all the emails using up the 500MB of quota for the month. This will be my first experience with Android.

I also have Startup Auditor and have Stocks disabled (Footprint doesn't even show there). I went to the settings of those apps and there is no exit option. I go back with the arrow. View 7 Replies View RelatedI wanted to know why certain apps just start up on their own. To clarify, I'm not talking about apps that start up on boot up. I referring to ones that start at random. For example, every so often Pandora will start playing even though it was on pause. This has happen when I'm in another app. So there is no way that I pressed on the Pandora app to play. In addition, when I try to kill apps that are running in processes. Their will be some that I have not opened that day or in a while. I going through Astro and try killing apps that I don't need to use on a regular bases. Does anyone have any ideas?
