Has anyone else noticed this? Happens when Im in calendar or SMS and I just want to view or edit the field on the bottom and the keyboard would pop up and id have to scroll down.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have alot (and I mean ALOT) of apps on my Xperia, so I get around 5 app updates a day, which is now starting to agitate me because most of them are the same apps everyday needing updates.
Today I heard about an update for the market that includes an auto update feature for installed apps. But I, like many others, do not see this option on the market.
Does anyone have any idea how to get it? or if I can't get it, when can I?
I installed it on my Droid and when I open the list and long press on an app it gives me the option to Auto-Kill. I assume this means I won't have to kill this app any longer so I select this option but I find that I keep having to kill the same apps over and over again. What's the point of Auto-Kill or what am I doing wrong? There are lots of programs (most I didn't even install) that run all the time and I'm having battery issues so I don't have battery to waste on programs I'm not using and will probably never use.

Maybe I should ask how to build transparent aluminum for my little fishies. I can't find any way to get this keyboard back. Did a Factory data reset, same thing.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm fairly new to android programming and I'm writing a simple app that performs some math calculations. I'm having the user enter some information in a couple edittexts. When the keyboard pops up though, it covers the submit button on the bottom. I can make the entire layout scrollable, but then you can scroll too far. How do I make it so that, when the keyboard is up, you can scroll down to see other information (like buttons, textviews, etc)?

The web page loads to the login, and I can place the cursor into the user name field but no keyboard pops up to enter data into. Any ideas?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to be able to adjust my UI screen on Android when the soft keyboard pops up.
So at the minute I have something similiar to the first picture below where I have and EditText at the bottom of the screen and when a user taps the EditText I want the same as what happens in the second picture.
That is that the EditText gets moved up and appears to "sit" on top of the soft keyboard, when the soft keyboard dissapears it should then return to its prior state.
Can anyone let me know the best way to approach and implement this?
So one of the cool things about Froyo is being able to check off Enable Automatic Update for market apps. So i have that checked off for like 80+% of my 80+ apps (that took a while to do let me tell you). Now i have had three apps have updates available since i checked off the box, yet they never actually automatically updated. I waited, hours, still never updated. Is there a setting i need to modify? Do i need to tell it what time of day to do it? Anyone else noticing this? I only really want it in apps that i don't care about reading the new features. But it is annoying that i have it enabled and it does nothing.

View 8 Replies View RelatedSometimes the screen auto-rotates when I don't want it to if I angle the phone slightly. I am constantly toggling it on and off. To do so of course, I have to go into settings, then display. Does anyone know of an app that I can add the toggle switch as a shortcut on my desktop? It is kind of a pain to go through the settings each and every time. I would much rather just hit it easily on my homescreen.

I didn't realize that I counted on the screen orientation to stay the way when it was leaned the other direction. But I do like to type with the unit on its side from time to time.Is it possible to switch it back to the way it used to be (pre 2.2)? I saw an on/off for the entire rotation, so I doubt it but felt it worth asking.

Whenever I input an 'a' the first option on auto complete is ' asw@armysurpluswarehouse.com' which is apparently from one of my google contacts. Since the web address has a period in it I am unable to select the entire thing at once by double tapping so that I can tell swype to take the word out of the dictionary it uses.

no headset plugged in just act as normal. Hopefully I am just missing something obvious as I can see the option to enable auto answer but this seems to be regardless of weather or not there is a headset plugged in. If this is not possible is there a a way to shortcut the enable and disabling of auto answer rather than having to go through all the menus?
I noticed that when i type a text msg that the screen seems to dim slightly and then come back. Is this a result of the auto brightness feature?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently got the G1 and used my Gmail account online (via computer) to setup my contact list and then sync it to my G1. Now when I compose an SMS message, and begin typing the name of the person in my contact list, only some of the names that match will appear in the drop down auto-complete list but others that match don't show up at all. To compose SMS to them I have to use the Contacts>Scroll to contact>Select text to mobile method. Any ideas why some of the contacts do not show up in the auto-complete list when composing an SMS and typing in a partial name in the To field?
