View 5 RepliesWould it be legal and ok to take images/graphics from existing free apps (such as stop/start button etc) and using it in your own app that youre developing and planning to sell? I'm not good at graphic design and there are already some great pics out there. If not how do you develop/get your own buttons for apps?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was never really big into photography as its kind of expensive, but the camera on my own s3 is pretty awsome. I was wondering if there is a guide anywhere on taking different kinds of pics etc or what the different modes are for with situations. Like I don't know what macro is etc. Just looking forward to taking some cool pictures on my phone and maybe sharing on instagram. I wouldn't mind doing more than auto pics.

I have an old cellphone that only is good for making calls and taking very bad pics, vids and sending slow txts. But I dont txt much if ever..I dont really care about photos or vids all I need is a phone to use for phoneing people and it would be nice to be able to check my email and get on the web alittle. I also carry a Blackberry PDA that I use alot. I would love to be able to buy an all in one PDA and phone/web serfing thing. The main things it must do is have what my PDA calls a To Do list. I can make a note there like (order 25 cases of white wine for joes restaurant) and it will record the not with the day and time I wrote it. Then laster once i have placed the order i can go back and change the not to read (ordered 25 cases white wone for joes restaurant) and it will update the time and date. Then once the order arives I can move the note to a Done box where it will let me know I have done this task and it will record when I completed it. So does anyone know of a app for Driod that does this?

What m worried about is the effect on my LCD screen. It seems to be running all night but in a dimmer mode. Is it ok to use the feature every night? Will i end up ruining my LCD a lot faster?

Does the HTC Droid Eris camera have flash capability? If so, how do I use/find the flash when taking photos?
View 3 Replies View RelatedSince the Eris doesn't have a flash is there anyway to take good night/dark photos? All the good "kodak moments" happen at night.
View 32 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to turn off the flash and/or the shutter sound of the camera when taking a picture?
Flash Mode says auto under it, but the box is grayed out and I cannot select it to change it.
This is the same for the auto focus feature, I am unable to select that as well.
Anyone else experience this on their Eris, kinda fustrating and embarrasing on the types of random pics the phone decides to use as album cover art? Any tips to stop this?

When i had my blackberry it had a function that was called "Phone Only". This would disable all ringers except for the phone. It was ideal at night time.
When you guys sleep how do you set your ringer. I want people to still be able to call me but having my phone vibrate all night for texts/emails is so freaking annoying.
Is there a way to program the Inc so only the phone ringer is active?
What clock application is everyone using for their night stand when its bedtime?
View 4 Replies View RelatedAnyone know what could be the cause of my battery dying while I'm asleep at night? I don't put it on the charger at night if the battery is above 20% and the last couple nights my battery will be near 30% and when I wake up in the morning it's dead?! My feeds are set to update 12 hours apart which is usually around 7am, and I thought it was the auto task killer but I shut that off. The only thing I can think of is my alarm?! But really?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWas there a stealth OTA Motorla Droid update last night?I woke up this morning to find my Droid turned off while sitting in the multimedia dock. The power was drained despite the fact that it was powered from the wall. At first, I thought I was careless and that the system drained. However, after turning it on, I received a phone call and the screen had changed.Note how the answer buttons have arrows that go up and down.(Although, you still slide horizontally.)I was hoping this was a sign of 2.1. However, it still says firmware version 2.0.1. Build is ESD56 and Kernel 2.6.29.
View 5 Replies View RelatedComing from a BB it was easy to shut up notifications for messaging at night. I need to have the phone active but the notification tone from emails is driving me towards throwing this phone away. Another option would be turning off notification tone all together. But I can't figure out how to do that either
View 10 Replies View RelatedLooking for a great app that will allow me to selectively turn off anything that would beep or ring during the night but perserve at least two things:
1. Phone - in case the family has an emergency.
2. Alarm - so I do not lose my job.
Facebook, tweets, reminders, etc. need to be turned off.
Basically, is there a command in droid that will allow me to check the time on the user's phone and have it returned? Where I can then assign the time to an int?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI get notifications, mostly email, through the night. Most of them are commercial emails that go out at 2-4am and wake me up. Is there a way, or an app, that allows the notifications for alerts (not phone) to be automatically shut off for specified hours?

I've looked for an android torrent client with a scheduler or a firewall application that can block an app during specific times of day, but have found neither.

View 2 Replies View RelatedBeen using the weather widget free. Love it. However, lately its been telling me that its sunny at night when it should say clear. the moon icon is correct and still shows up. Anyways.....so yesterday I downloaded Beautiful widgets which appear to be back in the market and it tells me that its sunny at night too? Any idea why? Also a question for beautiful widget owners. They said the weather animates. So far I have not seen any animations at all on the homescreen widget. Am I doing something wrong? If there are no animations and if its going to tell me that its sunny outside.....I'm returning it.
View 12 Replies View RelatedWhen using Google Sky Map, I like to put it into Night Mode so it doesn't affect my night vision as much. Except that the Home, Menu, Back, and Search buttons seem to stay brightly lit. Aside from covering these with my hand while using the app, does anyone know if there is a way to disable this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedA couple of days ago I posted a question on what you guys did so that you could still receive emergency calls at night without the phone disturbing you letting you know you got a spam email at 3am.Several of you mentioned that I could go and change my notification volume, but doing that every night was too much work and I was bound to forget or silence my calls and forget to turn it back on in the morning.I found this wonderful FREE app called Sweet dreams. You set the time at which you go to sleep and it has several options such as disabling gps, wifi, bluetooth and putting your ringer and notification volume at whatever you want. You set the wakeup time as well so the phone turns things back on for you in the morning.
