View 13 Replieson my physical keyboard my G key is sort of loose you can see the gap in between and if i move it around its loose and i think might eventually fall out..anyone else have issues like this anything i can do in case it does fall out?
View 10 Replies View RelatedHas anyone noticed that the build quality of the Droid is a bit shoddy? Maybe its just me. But my power button is very loose/wiggly, and the screen tends to wiggle a bit when the keyboard is hidden. That and some of the buttons on the screen seem to be only partially lit by LEDs.

View 10 Replies View RelatedHow do you guys like the physical buttons vs. the soft buttons (glass) on other phones? I've got an Incredible that I really like, but I'm having two issues that I'm not liking. Call quality and battery life. I looked at the Droid X and really didn't like the physical buttons. How many of you were disappointed by the physical buttons but have found them to be OK after using them?
View 35 Replies View RelatedSo far so great with the new Droid X!! I have not had any of the lag problems or battery life issues that I have seen posted. My X is fast and smooth, I love it so far. Having said that, I can see a potential problem with the physical buttons on the device. When I first started using the X, the buttons were tight and had a crisp feel when pressed.
Now after 1 day of use, the" back" button is getting loose and is not nearly as crisp as it was. I don't think it will last much longer. I wish there was a way to back out of a screen or app via a screen button as opposed to the physical one. If anyone knows a way to avoid using the physical button to go back a web screen, please let me know. Other than that, this thing rules.
Is there a way to set the physical buttons on the side and front to do things when the screen is off like go to the next song or volume up? It would be great for when I am listening to music that way I don;t always have to turn the screen on and unlock just to turn the volume up or down.
View 15 Replies View RelatedMy buttons won't light up when I'm in a dark environment. My screen is currently on auto brightness. I don't think its lowering the brightness one bit when it's dark.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been using this phone for a days now and I'm a bit annoyed that the volume buttons seems loose already especially the down button.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI read somewhere online that you need physical buttons to use SNesoid or Nesoid. Is this true? Has anyone run it on the incredible?
View 16 Replies View RelatedI've had my phone for a while now but a few days ago some of the physical buttons stopped working. I'm not sure why but the home, call pick up, and camera buttons now no longer function. I'd have assumed this was a physical fault immediately, however when the screen is darkened (power save?) if I press any of the "failed" buttons then it will light up again! I'd be interested in knowing whether there are any diagnostic tools available for this also. Failing anything else I'll be phoning O2 to get phone replaced! I've updated to II4 via the NPS update and they are still broken.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've noticed the Home and Menu buttons are slightly in further than the other buttons, possibly indicative of that prolonged use could affect their stability. I've only had this phone since yesterday and haven't used it too much but I'm worried about this already The Home button particularly, in which I use the most, is sinking
View 7 Replies View RelatedI know CM can do this, but the volume keys are quite uncomfortable in my xperia phone. My phone has 3 front physical buttons and I would love to do something like this:
Is it possible?
My volume buttons seem loose. Is that normal you think? Perhaps its a petty thing to think about, but play (I can hear them rattle a bit if I shake the phone gently) in my experience leads to quick wear.
View 3 Replies View RelatedOn devices with onscreen keys, the key layout goes Back, Home (long press for Google now), MultitaskOn devices with physical keys, as we well know, whe have back, home, and menu (sometimes with search, long pressed to voice search) in a pretty unpredictable order. But how would you activate Google now on devices with these keys? Long pressing home is multitask.... so is multitask moved out a different key (long press menu?) Or does Google now move?
The most logical choice would be assigning it to long press search (replacing voice search) but a lot of phones *coughgalaxysphonescough* don't HAVE the search button...
I hate soft keys. They're hard to see. It's hard to know whether I pressed them. I often press them accidentally. They add absolutely nothing to the phone. In short, soft keys suck.
View 18 Replies View RelatedI watch quite a few .mp4's on my Desire, and I'll really like to turn off the the backlight behind the physical buttons if possible, not so much to aid battery life but for the factor they are a bit annoying if you're watching something in the dark. Is this possible? My device isn't rooted.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am currently using xtrROM 4.2 and like many - am SICK of pocket answering my Eris. (I know this happens regardless of rooting). Is there a way of completely disabling the slide unlock to answer the phone? Using the Green to answer, Red to deny works perfectly well. I want it like an "olden-days" dumb phone. Is it at all possible to modify/flash the ROM to render the screen inactive for this? Most threads point to unlocker apps, but I'm trying to avoid them.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I have a squeaky clean account with Verizon, four lines, all smart phones minus one phone. NEVER missed a payment and always upgraded. I have had plenty of problems with my phones but never complained too much or created issued. I have been very nice with them, but I've about hit my limit here.
We have a defective Moto Droid on our account, and a defective Incredible. They have already agreed to give me an X for my Incredible. But, they have sent us not one, but now 3 refurbrished phones that are crap. The screens have ALL been loose, and the build has been absolute crap compared to the original phone. They are sending me another one from a different warehouse tomorrow. I am so irritated. If I receieve another refurb with a loose screen and bad build I don't think I am going to be able to deal with Verizon very nicely.
What do you think I should do? Should I be nice and wait for ANOTHER refurb if this one is bad? Or should I get mad and tell them they can take there refurb backs and send me a NEW phone?
Does anyone else have a loose headphone jack. When i move the 3.5mm connector it wiggles (the whole thing the connector and the place where it connects). Just wondering if i should bring it back or if everyone elses was loose.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI received a refurb for the one that bricked and the screen on this thing is driving me nuts. It clicks like a BB storm when tapped, it opens in my pocket. Heck the screen will shift almost 1/4 inch from top to bottom. I liked my old Droid and after almost 9 months of use it was still tight. My question is, did quality control miss my first or second Droid and will Verizon give me grief if I complain about it?
View 3 Replies View Relatedassume that i'm updating to "bugless beat rom"
1. What will i use for MS exchange sync (very important)? the Droid has motorola built in Corporate email calendar, and contacts. will i be forced to use touchdown?
2. Will i loose the ablity to use the market? (sounds like a noob question)
My battery door was continuing to slide off. Especially since I got the holster. It seems that when putting the Droid BACK in the holster my fingers 'slide' down the back of the unit and pop the door out. I have had to pick up the door off the floor several times. For those of you with this issue, I have found a way to fix it, once and for all time! (Note: There is a video on the forum showing a fix, but it didn't secure it enough for my unit). So, here is what I did. If you do this, just don't 'squeeze' too hard. And squeeze EACH of the four tabs. It works. when I put my door back in place now, there is a nice, loud SNAP as it pops in. Yes, I noticed the grammar error the distance NEEDS to be shortened.
View 8 Replies View RelatedThe plastic edge that runs around the lower part of the slider on my phone is a bit loose right next to where you plug the micro USB into the phone. It's very minimal, just a little bit of give that you can't actually see but if you press against it there is a slight clicking noise from the plastic edge moving slightly.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFirst droid had an imperfection on the glass screen that caused a black spot (prolly 3-4 pixels big) on a white background in which I could not fix because it was part of the glass. Second droid had dust infiltrating on the sides leading to a distraction when viewing the screen. Now, my third droid has such a loose battery cover that it comes off in my pocket a lot. Am I too picky or do I just have bad luck? Really don't want to go to the verizon store again for a loose battery cover but I think that is a legitmate problem, and btw I have tried a different battery cover and that isn't the problem, it must be what the cover hooks onto inside the phone that is causing it to be loose.

View 21 Replies View RelatedJust curious, how does every feel about the build quality of their D2? I remember with the D1 a lot of people had problems with the keyboard coming up and also a problem with the slide mechanism feeling loose when the phone was closed. Any similar problems with the D2 out there?
